Just a short drive from Marazion, Herb Cottage is well equipped for families

A beautifully presented barn conversion with garden and private hot tub, just 2.5 miles from the beach. Herb Cottage is perfect for couples and small families with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. You will be welcomed with a welcome hamper with local produce worth over ÂŁ35.00.

The sandy beach at Perranuthnoe on the south coast is just 2.5 miles away and Marazion, home of the iconic St Michael's Mount is within 3 miles. The immediate surroundings are rural and peaceful – you can walk in the owners daffodil strewn meadow or explore footpaths from the doorstep.

There are plenty of beaches to choose from within a short drive, try surfing at Praa Sands or Gwithian or simply mess about in Rock Pools at Perranuthnoe and Marazion.

Foodies will be in heaven with some truly fabulous restaurants on the doorstep. Don’t miss Ben’s Cornish Kitchen in Marazion, The Victoria Inn at Perranuthnoe or venture a few miles further along the coast to Porthleven to Rick Stein. Penzance and St Ives are within 10 and 20 minutes drive respectively and we also recommend heading to Mousehole and Porthcurno for perfect Cornish Coves.

The interior has been carefully refurbished to provide light and bright reverse level accommodation. The first floor is home to a lovely sitting room with vaulted ceiling and wood burning stove plus a cosy kitchen/dining room with bespoke handmade country kitchen with granite worktops.

The two bedrooms are either end of the ground floor, comprising a king and twin room, both with pocket sprung mattresses and a goose down topper in the master bedroom. A super smart bathroom with claw foot bath and separate shower sit between the bedrooms plus there is a further shower room with WC on the first floor. Dressing gowns and slippers provided.

Just outside the barn on a little private terrace is the cedar clad hot tub; stargazers will experience incredible night skies in this tranquil hideaway. There is a small al-fresco dining area adjacent to the hot tub and guests also have access to the pretty cottage garden and daffodil meadow beyond. Herb Cottage is situated in the grounds of the owners home in a small hamlet within easy reach of West Cornwall's beaches, towns and many attractions.

Please note this property has a Saturday change over as standard Short breaks may also be available outside of the main season.

Best holiday cottage ever x

We've had many a cottage holiday and this was the best yet. Location, facilities and the hosts were all super. Fabulously stocked kitchen, the whole house was beautifully presented and had everything we could need. Lovely hot tub and gardens.

Superb Stay in Herb Cottage.

Property was superb, hosts were excellent making us feel very welcome. Standard of cleanliness and the quality of the facilities in the cottage were extremely high ensuring we had a most enjoyable stay. We were so impressed we are intending to rebook next year. We cannot recommend a stay in Herb Cottage highly enough.

Fantastic Staycation!

Gorgeous cottage, lovely garden, relaxing in the hammock was idyllic. Hot tub with a glass of Prosecco was a lovely way to end the evening. Becky and Richard were great hosts. Couldn’t do enough for you if you needed any help. Cottage was immaculate and very well equipped. Overall a fabulous week away at Herb Cottage.

Amazing Stay

We have just returned from a fabulous week's stay at Herb cottage. What a fantastic property, lots of character and decorated to perfection. Becky and Richard were perfect hosts from arrival to departure, so helpful friendly and welcoming. The hot tub was a highlight of the stay, we had amazing weather however the cottage had lots of games, books and a diverse range of books to enjoy if it hadn't been. We walked a few times to the nearest beach which was lovely. The cottage was well located for getting around and seeing the beautiful sights of this part of Cornwall!

Herb cottage

Lovely cottage. Very clean and comfortable. Owners really helpful. And the cottage had lots of lovely little extra touches such as a beautiful welcome hamper. Beautiful gardens which we didn’t get to enjoy much because we were unlucky with weather. The hot tub was great and reassuringly clean and well maintained.

Cozy stay in the country

Lovely owners and barn conversion, 5 star accommodation with a lovely hamper of local Cornish goodies, lots of grounds to walk around in and a great hot tub to enjoy at the end of the day. Centrally situated for visiting the sites. Very quiet due to COVID but next month with everything opening up there should be more places to go for dinner. Blessed with sunshine so able to get out on our bikes although the hills out of the village could be a little challenging for some

Excellent stay at an amazing location

Beautiful property, very well presented and clean and quiet. Very comfy bed and bedding. Large hot tub to sit and watch the stars. Located with easy driving of lots of popular locations. We had a very relaxing stay and hosts are lovely. Welcome basket was amazing start to our holiday. Will be staying again!

Amazing cottage!

Herb Cottage is a delight and the hosts Rebecca and Richard have thought of literally everything - it is equipped with all the things you would normally have to take from washing up liquid to cling film and even had a DAB radio and TV equipped with Fire Stick! What's more the quality of the linen/towels and fittings are excellent and the hot tub a dream. Nothing is too much trouble. We can't wait to come back!!!

5 stars isn’t enough

Everything from the cottage, location and wonderful hosts made this stay special. It was a pure delight returning to the ‘fully kitted out’ Herb Cottage after a day exploring the local area, it’s close to several lovely beaches and towns. We cannot fault anything, exceptional in every way. Nothing was too much trouble- thank you Rebecca and Richard for such a wonderful stay.

Half term holiday

Very nice property, well equipped with lovely finishing touches. Beds were super comfortable, plenty of towels, lots of books and games for all the family. Hosts were friendly and keen to give advice on beaches to visit without intruding on privacy.

"What an absolutely gorgeous place. Totally idyllic. The lovely owners, Becky and Richard, have thought of everything and then thought even more and improved on perfection.

The cottage is beautifully decorated - cozy and not at all too precious. It really is so welcoming. Everything you could possibly desire is there. Shelves of new fiction and non fiction incase you’ve forgotten a book - not an ancient foxed Catherine Cookson or Stephen King in sight. Current dvds.

The hot tub is fantastic . We looked forward to using it every night.

Ted, the most adorable doggy in the universe, will come and say hello.

Honestly, we couldn’t think of even a teeny tiny negative aspect to our week away. The beds are sooooo comfy. If you have children in your party then they will be thrilled to find toys in the cottage and a selection of dvds just for them.

We recommend Herb Cottage wholeheartedly."
