Grange historique rénovée à Boorn Brook Farm - Manchester Vermont

Votre demeure est une grange restaurée inspirée de l’histoire française, construite dans les années 1820, qui a des planchers larges, des poutres taillées à la main, des plafonds hauts, des cheminées en pierre et le charme de la Nouvelle-Angleterre. Parfait pour une escapade romantique, des vacances à la campagne pour une petite famille ou une retraite tranquille dans la nature, Boorn Brook Farm est la quintessence de l'expérience du Vermont!

Une fois le domaine et le studio du célèbre peintre et pêcheur Ogden Pleissner, Boorn Brook Farm a été restauré dans sa splendeur originale. Situé sur 23 hectares de prairies ouvertes et de vieux vergers de pommiers offrant une vue imprenable à 360 degrés sur la montagne, le Boorn Brook Farm est protégé par la forêt nationale de Lye Brook, à moins de 5 minutes des centres-villes de Manchester et Manchester Centre. Boorn Brook Farm est également la nouvelle maison de Green Mountain Falconry School!

En été, prenez des cours de fauconnerie sur le site, nagez dans un étang alimenté par une source avec une plage, jouez au tennis sur le court privé à côté de la grange, faites une randonnée sur les sentiers privés de la ferme ou dans le Lye Brook Wilderness, pêchant dans le ruisseau et l'étang de truite sur place, ou simplement vous détendre dans l'un des hamacs.

L’automne est une période magique à la ferme Boorn Brook, où les montagnes derrière et devant la ferme s'animent de couleurs. Toutes les attractions de l'été sont disponibles sauf avec la nécessité d'un pull le soir!

Rentrez chez vous pour allumer un feu dans la cheminée en pierre, faites cuire du pain dans le four à pain en pierre de la cuisine entièrement équipée, faites une partie de billard dans la salle de jeux, sirotez un chocolat chaud et regardez le soleil se coucher derrière l'Equinox Mountain. foyer extérieur ou le bain à remous, juste devant votre chambre principale!

En hiver, faites du patin sur l'étang, du traîneau sur la colline, de la raquette ou du ski de fond sur les pistes de fond, du ski ou du snowboard dans les montagnes Stratton ou Bromley situées à proximité. À proximité se trouvent des promenades en traîneau, d'excellents restaurants et des boutiques à Manchester, à 5 minutes de route de Boorn Brook Farm.

What an amazing location! Our family had a fantastic time at this beautiful farm. Hours were spent on the tennis court, on the trails, by the pond catching frogs and loving on the sweet goats. We cannot wait to return!

Lovely property

Wish we were able to stay longer than 2 days at this wonderful place. Great location, about 6 minutes to Manchester center as well as many restaurants and shops. The enclosed stone wall courtyard between our barn and the owner’s house was beautiful and very useful for our dog to run around. We found all the amenities we needed within the barn, window ACs made the space cool and comfortable over 95F weather days. Beautiful views at sunset with quintessential Vermont rolling hill. The owner was super friendly and helpful with information as needed. We would certainly love to return soon!

EXCEPTIONAL!!!

I cannot give Boorn Brook Farm enough stars! It is perfection! Jeff is incredibly gracious and made us feel so welcome. His love and appreciation for the property is contagious! The barn was so fun to explore. Every beam tells a story. The grounds are impeccably maintained. Beautifully mowed meadows with Mountain views in both directions. The woods leading to the rushing creek are straight out of a fairytale. Beams of sunlight shine through the trees onto the moss covered trails. You expect little fairy’s to go flying by! Our dog had the best time of her life…playing in the creek and chasing her ball in the spring fed pond. She safely ran all over the grounds. Our teen loved the backstop on the tennis court to practice his soccer shots. Jeff suggested we climb the hill next to the barn after dark to watch the stars and see the fireflies. We did and it was incredible! We also took the nearby hike to Lye Falls which was awesome. And played in the creek and pools at the foot of Benson Rd. The pup loved both of these adventures! The town of Manchester is darling. So pretty with so many shops and restaurants to choose from. And conveniently located just a few minutes from the farm. We had excellent meals at Pearls, The Copper Grouse and the Turkish restaurant whose name I can’t recall. This was our first time in Vermont and we totally nailed it! One of the most memorable short term rental experiences I’ve ever had! Thank you Jeff!

Beautiful Farm and Property in Manchester

We had a great stay at Boorn Brook Farm. The property was beautiful and Jeff was a great host. We had a great time hiking the property with our dog and making pizzas in the brick oven. We can't wait to come back.

Great getaway!

This location is awesome. Close to town and skiing but we felt like we were secluded in the forest when sitting in the hot tub. We had a great time!

Well Meaning Owner-Beautiful Space But Some Issues

On the plus side, the space is really unique with an earthy feel inside and really nice grounds w honey production from bees tended on property near house. That honey was in our gift basket. Key Pros-1) Owner always kindly responded in texts and with prompting helped solve bat in space problem. 2) Nice atmosphere. Cons 1) No key or lockbox made available to us through owner which was awkward since we were definitely staying and did not want to fuss; we felt forced to keep doors unlocked for stay 2) we did not realize the main hangout space was not air conditioned, but fans did a good job 80 percent of the time if one sat near them. 3) the owner allowed early check-in and maybe the crumbs and a dirty utensil happened due to this haste. 4) When the bat problem happened, owner was at first nonchalant to first message in the early evening. I texted that a bat was flying around our main space. We had discovered it returning from our dinner when we turned on the lights. He had to be prompted to take action. We intended to leave if he had not. Obviously, this episode was not the first for him and he expected us to open a window and just hope the bat left. He swatted it away and it may have flown out. We slept with towel under the bedroom door & apartment in basement, much cooler than FR w fans was then unlocked for our friends who did not have a door, only a curtain on their room so unprotected from bat. An Unforgettable Stay at Boorn Brook Farm: A Perfect Blend of Nature, Relaxation, and Adventure

We had an incredible stay at Boorn Brook Farm in Manchester, Vermont! From the moment we arrived, Jeff, our gracious host, made us feel at home by warmly welcoming us and providing an overview of the property. The farm itself is a stunning escape, surrounded by natural beauty and plenty of activities to enjoy. The vast land offers something for everyone, whether it’s playing tennis, handball, basketball, exploring the hiking trails, or simply relaxing by a bonfire. There is also a hot tub off of the bedroom. Inside, the barn is spacious and inviting, complete with a pool table. The location is ideal, just a short drive to the charming town of Manchester and local markets stocked with delicious, fresh goods. Our stay at Boorn Brook Farm was the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure, and we’re already looking forward to returning in the future. Unbelievably beautiful!

What a gorgeous property with an incredibly supportive and respectful host. The inside of the barn/house is so spacious - it can easily accommodate a family, without concerns for crowding. The master bedroom is very comfortable with a beautiful view of the yard. The 2nd bedroom is adorable and somewhat smaller. Great for kids. The area is just spectacular. Highestly recommend staying here!

Breath of fresh air

This property was beautiful from start to finish. The host, Jeff, met us when we first arrived and gave us the lay of the land. He was very cordial and easy going. There is plenty to do on the giant chunk of land that you can rent with this property. Go swimming in the private pond with a beach, feed the friendly goats, play tennis or handball, have a bonfire or grill, run through the endless yard or hike on multiple trails that connect to the property, watch the bees work their honey magic, or relax in the hot tub. There is also plenty of space inside with room to spare as well as a pool table and multiple board games for your entertainment purposes. The barn is centrally ocated about 10 minutes from the town of Manchester and other country markets for locally sourced goods and food. This barn was a welcomed breath of fresh air and we would consider staying here again if we were ever in the area. Thank you for your warm hospitality Jeff!

Breathtaking

The barn was spacious and had everything we needed. The property is breathtaking, great location to the town, and Jeff was a great host. Our dogs were welcome, living their best life running around the property, and it was so special to see the mountains and just breathe in the air there. Would love to come back in the warmer weather!

A wonderful stay at the Farm

My family, including three kids (8, 6 and 3) and two dogs, had a great 5 day visit to the farm! The barn was beautiful and the neighboring town was perfect for some day trips in between skiing at nearby Bromley Mountain. Some highlights of our visit included: relaxing in the hot tub, visiting the goats, hiking, making pizza, playing games (bingo, pool, etc…), Northshire Bookstore, playing on the tractors at Charlie’s coffee house, movie night by the fire, and enjoying the fun snack basket provided! Good places to eat nearby, but make a reservation (we learned the hard way!) Would definitely love to come back!

Perfect Weekend Getaway

Spent 3 nights in this unique, renovated, rustic barn for New Years Weekend. Everything we needed for a fun, romantic weekend. The town is quaint with plenty to do. We took a class in hot glass blowing & came home with awesome souvenirs. At the barn, we hiked the property, enjoyed the hot tub, made roaring fires, enjoyed the atmosphere, cooked, enjoyed wine & the decorated Christmas Tree. Our host Jeff was very helpful & accommodating. The goats & chickens were so fun to interact with. Nothing remotely negative to mention. Thank you Jeff.

The bee apiary here on the farm for over10 years has been an active hobby of mine; we harvest hundreds of pounds of honey each year!

Because once you get here, you won't want to leave! The first time I saw the farm I knew it was home. With the white farmhouse with a front porch, the red barn, mountain views, meadows, a pond, a brook, sledding hill, stone walls, hiking trails, close to all of it in town! Living here is like living in a postcard!

Boorn Brook Farm is very secluded, yet right in Manchester. This is also my home. I cater to couples and small families. No large groups - don't even ask! I strive to provide a relaxing, peaceful and homey retreat for all of my guests!
