Black Mtn / Jackson NH- Ski alpin et X-Country - Privé

Cette cabane en rondins moderne et attrayante se trouve haut sur Black Mountain, Jackson NH. EntourĂ© par la forĂȘt nationale de White Mountain. Il a l'impression d'ĂȘtre au Yukon, mais Ă  quelques minutes de la civilisation. Sortez le soir, Ă©teignez les lumiĂšres et par une nuit claire, vous pouvez presque toucher les Ă©toiles. À la fin de l'allĂ©e, vous ĂȘtes sur les sentiers de randonnĂ©e de la forĂȘt nationale qui, en hiver, sont transformĂ©s en pistes de ski XCountry damĂ©es. Ces derniers et 50 autres (150 km) sont entretenus par la Jackson X Country Touring Assoc. 5 min et vous ĂȘtes la base du domaine skiable de Black Mtn DownHill et un trajet de 15 Ă  20 vous amĂšnera Ă  Cranmore, Wildcat ou Attitash DownHill Resorts. L'intimitĂ© et les vues spectaculaires ajoutent vraiment Ă  cette grande cabane en rondins. L'intĂ©rieur est joliment meublĂ©, 3 chambres et une cuisine avec comptoir en granit entiĂšrement Ă©quipĂ©e (pas de lave-vaisselle). Foyer au poĂȘle Ă  bois dans la salle commune principale adjacente Ă  la salle Ă  manger et au salon. Le niveau infĂ©rieur de dĂ©brayage contient une salle de loisirs / superposĂ©s (4) avec Ă©cran plat / DVD, grande sĂ©lection de films, table de billard, table de jeu et baby-foot. En bas de la montagne et vous ĂȘtes dans Jackson Village pittoresque et prĂ©servĂ©, offrant des restaurants et des tavernes de premier ordre. Et la ville de North Conway est Ă  20 minutes de trajet sans taxes. La cabine est Ă  60 miles de la cĂŽte du Maine et Ă  125 miles de Boston.

George's Cabin was such a lovely place. It clearly was the nicest place to be for Thanksgiving, with hiking trails right outside the door. The wood stove kept us nice and cozy. The views from the windows of the mountains of Jackson were stunning

Unbelievably peaceful cabin-house that is somehow 10 min away from civilization. Dead quiet, day and night, stars are gorgeous, and everyone should get to drink their coffee in front of a big window showing the sun coming up over the mountains. Rooms are big and comfy, variety of hard/soft beds, which was great. Fireplace-stove was fantastic on the chilly nights, and my dogs loved the challenge of the downhill driveway to fetch balls on. George was a consummate host who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. Mission accomplished! I cant wait to get back!

Great quiet property off the beaten path. Was just what we were looking for. The outdoor shower was a pleasant surprise. We missed the note for 25/linens and 25/garbage, but we were able to remedy easily. Would stay here again.

Slice of paradise

A mountain paradise! A touch rustic but a perfect family friendly option for myself and three teenage boys. Dog friendly - a huge bonus! Just a short drive from Jackson, the river, and Pinkham Notch AMC Visitor Center. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful Cabin

My family and I enjoyed our short stay at the cabin. It was peaceful, clean and relaxing environment! George was very communicative especially helpful with guidance in the area and hosting. There are additional costs for the cabin to use linens and trash pickup. I appreciate he offered us the opportunity to take our own linens, towels and dispose of our trash to save on costs. I also had some transportation issues on my side getting there and George was flexible. Nice memories in New Hampshire thanks to the cozy cabin!

Another fabulous stay here

Our family has been coming here for years and we absolutely love it. Our youngest was 7 when we first came and now he is 22! Relax with a book, go for a hike, go for a run or xc ski on the nearby trails, fall asleep in the grass, cook up a good meal, enjoy each other’s company without tv or constant internet distractions. It’s cabin living as it should be. George could teach a masterclass on being the best owner for renters; he’s truly one of our favorite people ever.

A wonderful getaway to unplug and recharge

From the minute we booked, George was incredibly friendly and helpful, sending us directions, restaurant reccomendations, and helpful videos to help ensure our stay is as good as possible! He called me as soon as we arrived to welcome us and give us an opportunity in case we had any questions. This cabin was wonderfully secluded and I don't think I've EVER seen so many stars at night. The cabin was also so welcoming, and decorated like an outdoorsmens dream! I will say, as the description already says, you will need 4/all wheel drive for the driveway in the snow/mud season. Also be aware that many of Jackson's restaurants are closed in the beginning days of the week, but North Conway is a short drive to many restaurants and shopping! Overall it's a great place to unplug and reconnect with loved ones and the great outdoors!

nature and peaceful

This is the perfect small cabin in the woods! Up a dead end road where the forest trails (ski and hike) begin. For folks who like nature and a calming place. The owner was always available by text and most helpful. It is heated by woodstove 80%, has good cell phone reception, lots of dvds. Center of Jackson with good restaurants 6 min. away. We are planning to return.

The perfect quiet getaway.

The definition of serenity. A perfect full size cabin nestled in the woods on the side of a mountain that is as far away as you can be without having to go far away. Our family visited in February for a snow-cation and we weren’t disappointed at all. George, the owner, was very responsive and provided a wealth of recommendations for local amenities and activities. The cabin had all we needed. We even spent two days just in the cabin itself relaxing, reading by the fire, and playing board games. An escape from reality our family desperately needed. I am certain that we will make our way back to “ Thistle Rock!”

I live on the coast of Massachusetts but spend as much time as possible in Jackson. In the future I hope to retire to the mountains.I love the outdoors and all this area has to offer. I first came to Jackson as a boy to visit my uncle who owned the original home that was here. I would dream all winter of trout,hiking,exploring, and wild raspberries. I was fortunate enough to purchase the property years later. The original house burned down but out of the ashes came a new beginning. You can stay at cabin and immerse yourselves in the forest and not see a soul or head out to the village and beyond to civilization.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

If you like the sweet smell of balsams (Christmas Trees), the mountains/ outdoors,and privacy this is it. When I arrive in Jackson I have no need to leave town its all here. Sitting in the brook on a July afternoon is heaven. There is also an outdoor shower to die for and no need for a curtain. A good book in the afternoon with all the windows open, and a mountain breeze -u need nothing else.I designed this cabin to meet all of the needs that make this place special.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The mountains are the home also to many different species of wildlife. I believe I have seen most pass through my property-moose,deer,bobcat,coyote,bear,porcupine just to name a few. The variety of birds are too numerous to count. They fill the forest with beautiful music from dawn to dusk. Speaking of nightfall you can reach out and touch the stars.The rivers are stocked but native trout exist also. I am not a golfer but the 2 courses are challenging and open to the public.
