A seaside retreat overlooking the glorious south Cornwall coast, Blue Bay is the perfect retreat for couples and families, including your pampered pooch. A beautiful home cleverly designed to make the most of the stunning views from the upstairs living area. Coastal hues and local artists' work add to the seaside theme, creating a welcoming space to slip into a slower pace of life.
Large sliding doors invite you to step outside onto your private balcony and take in the views towards one of Cornwall's most iconic landmarks. And on cooler nights you can get cosy in front of the flickering wood burner with your beloved dog curled up at your feet.
Tranquil bedrooms provide a restful retreat after long days at the beach and lazy lie-ins are encouraged with access to a small patio where you can slowly ease into the day with a quiet breakfast and the morning sun.
Beautiful harbours, sandy beaches and traditional Cornish villages can be found in abundance along the south coast, all just a short drive from Blue Bay. Marazion's sandy beach is a favourite for watersport enthusiasts and of course a stay in Marazion wouldn't be complete without visiting St Michael's Mount, where a granite causeway is exposed at low tide leading to the foot of the castle where a magical day will be had by all.

The accommodation is comfortable and upside down living affords beautiful views of St Michaels Mount from the lounge. The parking is easy which is a bonus as Marazion can be difficult to park in.
The Fire Engine pub just down the road is warm and welcoming. They also do takeaway pizza
Clean, well thought through & stylish. Attractive furnishings , comfortable bed and a
Lovely view. There were only two of us so we used the double bedroom.
We will definitely stay again.
Lovely place to spend a few days chilling out . Amazing view of St Michaelâs Mount from balcony.
The apartment was very well equipped had everything you could need & owner had left a bottle of Prosecco, scones, biscuits, milk & coffee to welcome usâŠwhich was much appreciated.
The only issue was not sure about the green to the left neighbour told me off for taking the dog on there only used it first thing in the morning for her to have a wee but he said it was private property I think just didnât like his privacy being invaded! So would be good to make it clear where dogs can go.
Comfortable small house, part of a block of 6 in a semi rural location, about a 1 mile walk into the centre of Marazion and the beach. Not the most attractive building externally but modern and bright inside with all the conveniences you need and well equipped. Can park right outside the door. Open plan living, dining, kitchen is upstairs with a good balcony with table and chairs overlooking St Michaels Mount and the sea. Good to see impressive recycling arrangements were in place. Rental company were very responsive to our queries. Two minor criticisms: The TV is not SMART so couldn't access Netflix, BBC iplayer etc., and the property is rather humid, mainly because there are no opening windows only patio doors both upstairs and down.
As veteran renters of holiday accommodation all over the UK, Blue Bay has a lot going for it.
Blue Bay, possibly a purpose built holiday maisonette, is in an elevated location just outside Marazion with good views over St Michael's Mount as well as the surrounding agricultural land. It has all the essential amenities and is certainly a comfortable accommodation for a week's holiday. Location is very convenient for main routes to all of S.West Cornwall and there is a good choice of supermarkets within 3 miles. there are also easy footpath links to the S.West Coastal Path and access to quiet coves.
Marked it down slightly due to: We visited during a very cold spell in December 2022 and thus needed the heating; the associated hot water system had seemingly been switched off or otherwise the programmed times were not convenient and control systems were not intuitive to sort out. Even when we finally mastered it, hot water rarely made it to the upstairs kitchen. The heating and hot water settings, as well as the heated towel room for the bathroom, should have been checked and set up ready for guests. Lastly, the maisonette is part of a large block of similar accommodation and we got the impression that they were not exactly stoutly built as we could easily hear our near neighbours. Also, the 1st floor balconies are all close to and overlook each other, consequently would be noisy and lack privacy during busy periods.
Marazion is a magnificent place and to find a modern apartment with all the luxuries youâd have at home is fantastic. Clean, spacious, every comfort catered for garden, balcony and parking! But itâs not just that, the location is amazing sitting out on the balcony with the incredible view of St Michaels Mount is spectacular. The walk into town or over to Perranuthnoe is exhilarating. But not only that, this apartment also allows your 4 legged best friend to accompany you. We will keep coming back as we love it so much.
