The house, dock, and location was perfect for our extended weekend getaway with our clan. We enjoyed the quiet cove, the awesome dock, lily pad, paddle boat, and paddle board. Making memories is what mattered the most! Thanks for letting us make great memories!
Very clean property exactly as described. Very nice dock. Plenty of parking. Only downfall that I could see is it's a little hard to get a trailer in and out. But overall very nice upkept place.
No complaints about this property. We loved every minute of our time there. The house fit the 8 adults well. And the outside private dock, paddle boat, Lilly pad, paddle board we perfect. We started each day with coffee on the deck and ended each night around the fire pit.
I rented this home for our family vacation. The house easily accommodated 7 adults and 3 grandkids two and under. It was nice that they provided a Pack and Play for the one year old, and then I brought a bed rail for the two year old. The infant slept in a small portable crib we brought. We also brought along some dark sheets and clothespins to block out some of the light for the loft area. We enjoyed ALL the outdoor areas, especially the deck. We brought the boysâ little ride on toys that they enjoyed driving. The dock with its shade is amazing. If the boys werenât so little we would have been on the dock the entire time! We took the peddle boat out numerous times, and my daughters tried the paddle board. Be sure to bring your own life jackets!! Additionally, there were float toys available including two of those nice whale floats. And the best amenity was the large lily pad. My son in laws fished off the dock and caught numerous small fish so that was fun. We did take the grandkids to Frank and Louieâs and also Papa Chubbyâs to play âat the beachâ. Both were nearby. Finally, the house was well stocked with pots and pans and utensils. I did bring paper plates and plastic ware which was very convenient. There was plenty of pillows, extra bedding supplies, and blankets. This house was great!
We had a wonderful time.. weather was perfect.. location & cove awesome.. Lake home was fantastic.. well cared for & everything we needed was provided. Hope to come back soon
This house, dock and deck were perfect! We had plenty of room, comfortable beds and great parking. It sprinkled off and on so having part of the dock covered allowed us to still be on the water. We canât wait to stay here again!
Loved the back yard and dock area! The kids loved being able to fish, swim and boat. The house had lots of room for all of us (5 adults and 5 kids). Would love to stay there again!
Such a beautiful spot on the lake! A truly quiet cove with awesome lake access. The dock accommodates two boats. Great swimming and paddling opportunities right in the cove. Pat was so attentive and quick to respond to all my questions and made great recommendations for boat rentals. Everyone loved the location and the house and canât wait to come back next year!
Wr stayed for 9 days (with drive time) and loved every minute! The house was simple yet perfect. There was plenty of room for everyone. The rooms are super quiet, when the doors shut you are in your own little oasis of silence! Ther was pleny of parking, though the hairpin turn with the trailer was a tad daunting!
Then we get to the dock. And the water. WOW is all i can say. We were in need of nothing! The water is deep right off the dock so diving right in is easy! We caught no fish from the dock, but watched many of them jump!
Pat was responsive when needed, didnt bother us when not needed.
My only bit of "could be better" is that it may be time for a grill replacement. We made it work, but the 3rd burner was a bit iffy! And that is not a complaint, just an observation!
Our favorite part was hanging out by the dock! We swam, fished, kayaked, paddle boarded and just floated! The house suited our needs, we had 8 adults and we made all the sleeping arrangements work. Most nights we were so tired, it didn't matter but the loft sleeping area is open so if some want to go to bed early up there, I would bring sleeping masks and ear plugs.
The house looked just like the photos and was a nice layout for our group. Weâre a blended family and had our 3 teenage daughters and each had a friend. The kitchen was equipped okay, with our larger group some additional silverware would have been nice. Plenty of seating for everyone inside and out. It was a very quiet cove other than the neighbors the last night.
The dock was great, we spent a lot of time down there. It was large with shade and sun areas, a deck box stocked with floaties along with the lily pad and paddle boat. We brought our paddle boards and there was plenty of room to store them as well. We have a 26â ft boat with a 3â swim platform off the back and it fit great in the boat well.
The only issue we had and to correct that would be to launch the boat before going to the house. With the length of our truck and trailer the turn was way to tight to turn into the driveway by the house. We ended up leaving our trailer parked at Papa Chubbyâs by the boat ramp for $50. With the truck and length of our trailer we were sweating it for a little bit on what to do.
All in all it was a good week, lots of memories made and fun!
The property is in an amazing spot right on the water. The dock was a favorite of our group and the extra items like the water pad and paddle boat were awesome to have. Great location close to the necessities like stores and restaurants but not too close. The room with two beds was open to the main living spaces so light and sound early in the morning meant sleeping in was difficult for those in that room. Only a problem on sleeping in days. All in all would love to come back!
Joe and Pat Garrett are the owners. We moved to the Lake of the Ozarks on Labor Day 1981 with our two daughters (Third Grade and Kindergarten). We bought this lake lot that had a 10' x 50' trailer on it. We started building our home the spring of 1982. Over the years we have spent countless days entertaining family and friends at our lake home and cherish those wonderful memories. We owned and operated a convenience store on 5 Hwy for 17 years. During that time Joe was a fishing guide on the lake, pro-staff for Garcia and fished the Bass Tournament Circuit. Pat has been a cabinet designer for the past 30 years and is still very involved with her career. One year ago we moved to our 17 acre "farm" located 4 miles from the lake house. While we are really enjoying our new home, we still love our lake home and have spent the last year refurbishing it inside and out. It is now ready for you to create lasting memories of a great time with your family and friends at our lake home.
