My mom and I had a wonderful experience at Moulin De Malecoste. It was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Close to historic villages amazing restaurants and beautiful scenery. We will definitely return.
I escaped to Moulin de Malecoste for a long weekend, and it was so much more than I could have hoped for. The Moulin, situated in the serene country side of Cazillac, provided for my every need. I stayed in Bleu, a charming, comfortable converted barn, with all the necessary amenities laid out tastefully. The lovely hosts ensure you get the most out of your trip by providing local tips on the area, markets, places to see, things to do, etc. I wish I had booked for longer. It really was the break I needed, and will definitely be back in the near future! Thank you Heather and Moulin de Malecoste
Exceptional country home in a former mill, great location in a peaceful environment.
Beautifully refurbished and furnished country home, with a very kind and caring owner. Many major attractions are nearby, even within biking distance! Would surely come back again!
the property is a beautifully sympathetically converted barn with high class finishes located in the French countryside surrounded by farm land and small villages and places of interest. it offers complete tranquility for those seeking to relax and unwind whilst offering many activities for those more energetic soles including hiking ,riding ,canoeing.
Pleanty of local restaurants and food shops to take advantage of the Braai's at the property.
The accommodation was spotlessly clean and matched the material received prior to making a booking.
Of particular assistance was the information folder which provided much very useful information in relation to the area and services ,market days etc.
I would most definitely recommend the accommodation to anyone looking to stay in this area of France.
Spacious & Charming, 5 star accommodation in great location!
This bright, spacious and well furnished cottage in a country setting has everything one requires for a fun relaxing holiday. We did not want for anything, it has the charm of an ancient building but has been tastefully modernized and well equipped for modern day living .
it is well situated for all the sightseeing in the area but also is a place to relax and "chill out". We visited Collonges-La-Rouge, Rocamadour, Souillac, Martel, canoed on the Dordogne river and even cycled around the area with bicycles provided by the owners. Wonderful markets, good restaurants in close proximity. We will definitely be back.
We are fun loving South Africans who are "Francofiles" loving everything French. We love meeting new guests and introducing them to the French countryside and way of life.
We love the stone, characterful architecture of the surrounding villages, the green hilly scenery the closeness to the Dordogne river as well as all the historic and interesting places that surround us.
The House dates back to 1604 and is unique in that it is a Mill which has a stream running through the property as well as two mill ponds which attract birds and wildlife at certain times of the year. The barn accommodation has been renovated to a very high standard in a sympathetic way modernising everything but keeping the character and charm. The house and Barn situated in a rural setting are well positioned to explore this very interesting historic area. it is also very well equipped with good quality furniture and appliances.
