This is a prime spot facing the beach with beautiful sunrises, cool ocean breezes and gentle surf sounds. The pathway to the ocean was steps away. The home is bright and airy with beach art everywhere! Beds were very comfortable and we appreciated sheets and towels provided. The host was very patient and helpful whenever needed.
We had a nice weeks stay with our 2 little doggies! Loved the big deck & stayed out on it most of our time there! Had to let the dogs in midday, because the deck boards do get pretty hot for their paws, then let them back out when cooler later. We loved the view there -wished the dunes were a little lower to see the ocean better. But, standing you can see it, not the waves coming in -but, still a gorgeous view. Loved that table with the tall chairs that we ate most our meals on & the big sectional was really nice to lie out on & soak up the sun! Inside, loved the coastal decorations & wall art everywhere & the chandelier in the dining area too! And the big sliders to always be looking out at the ocean! We cleaned the smudges off the slider windows & my hubby fixed the umbrella to stand up straight bâc it kept falling over. The large sectional in the livingroom was very comfortable for watching tv. The bathrooms & bedrooms were small but still really nice, we liked the bright wall colors! We stayed in the room with the king bed, which was good,bâc we have that at home & are used to having that! Had to learn to do the around the bed âshimmyâ though -but, got it down after a night or two! Nice neighborhood & area was close to go to all our favorite places! Walked our dogs at the bay & at the Lavallette boardwalk. And, hosts Joe & Gina were very communicative & helpful during our stay there. Canât wait to visit again!! Thanks again!!
Small but cute house. The location was great (although dunes blocked full view of ocean). Kitchen was updated but bathroom shower door was broken. A lot of sand in the sleeper sofa although it is clean now that we vacuumed it. For the $200 cleaning fee, we spent a lot of time cleaning the house before we could unpack.
Amazing trip and property. The owners were so accommodating, friendly and just overall kind people. You cannot bet the views or location of the house. Itâs perfect in every way and we are already planning are our trip back.
We had an absolutely amazing stay in Lavalette. I grew up in Hawaii and had been hesitant to venture to the beach but decided to take a long weekend stay with the family. The entire check in and process was seamless and our communications were prompt and orderly.
The property is right near the beach path and the water is literally a two minute walk. We loved sitting on the amazing deck and listening to the waves and enjoying the ocean breeze.
The home is well furnished and decorated. While a bit smaller, there are three bedrooms. It was the perfect size for our small family and the living room feels airy as though the deck and outside are an extension in the best way possible.
Looking forward to booking again for a longer stay!
My friends and I had a wonderful time at the property. Located right on the beach it was perfect for us. Joe and Gina replied quickly and were very accommodating. I would recommend!
The beach house is in a great location- the view is beautiful and the large deck with ample seating makes it easy to really appreciate. Also canât beat walking right out to the beach.
Everything we needed for myself, husband, infant and 3 year old for a week at the beach. While we did have one issue with washer/dryer, owner responded and had it fixed the next day. We loved our time this week and hope to come again!
This property is a beach house on a private beach in Ocean 3 which is either near or in Lavalette. We had 5 adults in our party which is perfect for the beach house. The 3 bedrooms are tight but a full size bed and dresser are in two of the rooms and the master has a king size bed with a bureau and a small bathroom attached to it. The living room had a pull out which we did not use. The deck and the view and the convenience to the beach are the selling features to this beach house. The house is 2 houses from the entrance to the beach path. Beach badges are required and these were supplied by the owner. The kitchen is small but open. We ate all our meals on the deck which was really nice. We could even see the Seaside fireworks one night. We biked to Seaside (about 25 minutes) from the house. There is a small market nearby (Lasolas market) where we purchased some salads and meats. There are a few other places nearby where you could get a quick bite (crabby Ricks) and we had a lovely sushi dinner at Bluâs which we walked to (about a 20 minute walk ) BYO. The owner is very quick to respond to any questions you might have. We had a lovely time at this beach house.
Quiet, restful...the ocean is just beyond the dunes. Enormous, wonderfully furnished deck, well appointed kitchen (with the exception of coffee mugs). Comfy, comfy, comfy.
My only teeny gripe is that although the legal address is Lavallette as listed, this terrific ocean front house is actually located in Ocean Beach about a mile from the center of Lavallette, and would likely be very crowded during the summer months.
Let me preface my comments with this - a friend and I have an annual week at the shore, away from husbands, children, and usual routines of daily living. Our experience with the owner was limited but we found him to be very cordial and anxious for us to enjoy our time. The house was very clean and nice sheets and towels provided. It provided us with the necessary time to relax and regroup. What seems like a laundry list of complaints is simply to outline the ways in which our expectations differed from reality.
The property was, in fact, just as described, however - ocean front yes, but no indication that dunes had built up and blocked the view of the ocean. There were, indeed, 3 bedrooms, decorated as seen in the listing, however - the rooms were very small without room to even walk around the bed. We used only 2 of the bedrooms, but one of them had no closet. The 2 bathrooms had the smallest toilets I've ever seen and one of the showers was a 1/4 circle built into a corner ... not easy for an adult to use and no bar on which to hang a wet towel. There were 4 lovely TV's with access to most kinds of entertainment. The living area was open with a kitchen counter, dining table, and TV watching area with comfortable cushions.; however, all of the lighting was over the kitchen and eating areas with not another lamp or ceiling light for the "living room" area. The deck was wonderful with lots of comfortable seating and table with umbrella. The kitchen was adequately stocked with utensils and appliances.
Future guests will have a lovely time as long as they know what to expect. May I add, we were blessed with a week of wonderful weather - cool ocean breezes and crystal blue skies!
This was a great place to stay. The house was very clean, comfortable and well stocked with everything needed for the week. The deck was a great place to sit and relax. Would definitely rent again.
Very nice beach home with a million dollar view. We spent so much time on the deck. Beds were comfortable but I might suggest you bring cotton sheets from home. We had a wonderful week in Lavalette and the home is very nice. Would stay there again!
This house is ideal if you want to get away, be by the ocean and have large deck to BBQ, entertain, or simply lay out. The amenities are simple but all that you need. Restaurants are delivering and there is an Acme 3 miles away next to a liquor store. Just being on the deck for 6 days rejuvinated my family. The neighbors are also so pleasant. I would highly recommend this home to anyone that wants some peace and quiet. I look forward to booking again. - Brielle Caruso
We spent a week in Lavallette in a beachfront home and it was one of our favorite family vacations ever. We thought others would feel the same and decided to purchase the home.
