Heron peut accueillir 2 personnes. Il a une chambre spacieuse avec salle de bains king size avec portes françaises menant au balcon à l'étage supérieur et un grand salon ouvert avec salle à manger en bas. Il a une cuisine entièrement équipée et une toilette supplémentaire qui est au rez-de-chaussée. Toutes les chambres ont une excellente vue sur le lac et sont équipées de TV satellite, téléphone et chauffage central. Il a une grande zone bordée côté eau avec des meubles de patio et des marches menant à un barbecue sur une plage privée. Avec une vue fantastique sur le loch Heron Cottage est parfaitement situé avec sa propre plage offrant intimité et isolement idéal pour les jeunes mariés, les pauses romantiques et le temps de détente.

Love Heron Lodge!

We go here once or twice a year. As usual, it did not disappoint, although we both thought that the pressure in the shower was not as good as previous visits and the now doorless wardrobe is a bit strange. The mattress might also be due to be replaced. The new carpet was lovely, very luxurious underfoot, although we did miss the tartan! However, the main event is that deck! Could sit on that deck forever. It's the location right on the water that makes the place so special. Going back later in the year.

Loch Lomond heavenly haven

What an amazing property! Obviously, the views are incredible and the photographs in the listing, as good as they are, really don’t do it justice. The property is well distanced from other properties and feels private and well equipped for cooking at home. There are plenty of places to visit nearby but after touring all of both the east and west coast the best view is probably from the Heron cottage. After thinking long and hard about how to make this place even better, the only thing is to have a sieve for draining rice but that’s it... Perfection.

Beautiful location, spotless, furniture tired

We have stayed here numerous times, and absolutely love the location, the facilities , and how clean the property is. However, we feel that the luxury description no longer applies, bed very soft and uncomfortable, tub chairs in living area, very hard and worn , so unable to relax looking out on the beautiful view. Would benefit from an upgrade to more suitable, comfy seating, so we could sit there all day .

Amazing setting

Amazing location, right on edge of the loch. Very clean and comfortable. Only problem was that the mattress was way too soft for us. The lodge staff did their best to remedy this for us. Overall a lovely lodge, in an a beautiful location. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back, if the bed had a firmer mattress.

Simply lovely

A superb stay at the lodge that was spotless, comfortable and just wonderful for the few days we stayed there. Just so nice being on the waters edge. Everything was just perfect.

Heron Lodge Loch Lomond

This is the 3rd year we have returned to Auchenheglush lodges. The lodge was as we expected beautiful,clean and comfortable. The location of the lodge was fantastic with breathtaking panaramic views over the loch and beyond. We will most certainly be back to visit. A☆☆☆☆☆

Wonderful stay

Beautiful lodge with everything we needed for our stay, in an absolutely stunning location. Everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and the views from the lodge and its deck are truly outstanding. Will definitely return.

A sunshine weekend

We were fortunate to have the most fantastic weekend with lovely sunshine the lodge is beautiful couldn't get any closer to the loch in fact you could imagine you were actually on a boat sitting looking out they had everything you could want in the lodge and the bed was so comfortable found it awkward trying to retrieve the key from the key box as the numbers had faded and there is a fair walk to the lodge from where you park your car ok if your active but my husband found it a struggle I'm not sure if the road into the estate belongs to the lodges if so they need to address the potholes in the road it really needs dealt with .

Ideal Loch Lomond lodge

As always the service from Wendy and Liz is first class. Lovely welcome on arrival and The Heron lodge was spotless and warm when we got there. This lodge sits right on Loch Lomond - open your window and you can almost touch the water! The sound of the calm loch at night is amazing. We have stayed here many times and we will be back again no question! 10 out of 10

BREATHTAKING VIEWS

Our fourth Aucheneglish holiday home rental and Heron Lodge tops them all, sitting on the decking with the most stunning views of Ben Lomond and Conic Hill. Cannot wait to return.

Great stay in a lovely property.

Been a couple of times now and just love it so much. House is lovely decorated and spotlessly clean. Views are amazing lovely just to sit and look out. Easy to walk to Lomond Shores and into Balloch where there are nice places to eat and drink. Easy to book and Liz and Wendy are so helpful.

A beautiful peaceful place to stay.

Our stay was 1st class, we met Jim the owner on our first night and he was a proper gentleman bringing my partner a bottle of red the next day. Our time at the lodge looking out on the the mountains and Loch was so peaceful and tranquil. We even stayed at the lodge a couple of nights as it was so comphy and warm. I cannot rate this place high enough. Thanks to Jim and all the staff for making our staff fantastic and we will 100% be back again.

Weekend away

We found the lodge and location to be everything we had hoped for. We loved the space, comfort and views of the loch. We even had a firework display from the end of the loch. We would love to return in warmer, sunnier weather and take full advantage of the decking and outside area.

Amazing Place to Stay

Received all the information and instructions about the property by email - all very prompt, understandable and straight forward. Obtaining the keys from the key safe - straight forward and parking was right outside the property - or as right outside the property as you could be. The property itself is amazing and the view is stunning. Just what we needed. The lodge has everything you would need, very modern - you are literally loch side. The views are so peaceful, tranquil, with birds and swans coming up to the lodge to be fed. Centrally located for Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Highlands. There are other lodges either side the Heron Lodge but they are not intrusive, good distance between each lodge. The surrounding area is well maintained and clean. The only thing to bear in mind is that even though you are loch side you can still hear the traffic from the main road but to be honest it did not bother us. We sat outside in the morning, on the bedroom balcony, overlooking the loch and did meditation, went downstairs and dipped our feet in the very cold loch and fed the swans. I can't wait to stay there again.

Well appointed lodge in superb location

I’ve only given three for cleanliness as there were food stains on several cupboard kitchen doors which I cleaned. This was very disappointing given the extra measures meant to be in place due to Covid guidance and early check out times. There were also cobwebs in several corners and also in the cupboard housing the dishwasher. The location of the lodge is superb. The weather was very unsettled during out stay so we couldn’t really make use of the decking area. One suggestion could be to provide a small, covered area on the decking so that guests can still sit out. We would have liked the option to sit out when it was dry but the garden table and chairs were always wet and not the type you can dry with a cloth. The lodge is very comfortable, especially the bed, and has all the facilities needed. I believe the lodge has recently been refurbished and this is evident and reflected in the general condition of furnishings and appliances. Contact and information from the company prior to arrival was good. There was no contact from anyone during the stay which some may find unusual. There were however mobile numbers for customers should they need them. The lodge is situated not far from a main road though once inside, there was no noise from traffic. This isn’t the cheapest cottage to stay in but in terms of it’s location and facilities,I believe it offers value for money and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and peaceful holiday.

I really nice surprise. The place is beautiful and cozy and the views is amazing into the loch lomond. There is a spacious kitchen with everything you may need. The place is near by car to the walking places. Wendy was really helpful and available at any time. They were two small inconveniences the first one is that will the price we paid I wasn't expected to change the bed sheet after my stay ans the second was the small leaking water that broke down the kitchen roof.

Outstanding Lodge in Stunning Location

Beautiful lodge for two right on the edge of the Loch. Lodge was very well equipped with everything you could need. Very private and a great place to escape to for a couple.

great holiday at loch lomond once again.

This was our fourth stay at Heron Lodge,and loved every minute of it. Weather was sunny and hot, so spent a lot of time sitting on the Varanda watching all the activities going on on the loch. I did think it was a bit pricey compared to what we paid the last time we were there, but if you want beautiful scenery, privacy, and a relaxing holiday, Heron Lodge at Loch Lomond is the perfect place to go to. Would highly recommend it.

Our week at Heron Lodge

What a beautiful place to stay. The lodge was perfect. Only complaint was no tv signal for 3 days. The undergrowth was covering the satellite dish. Eventually rectified.

50th Birthday

Heron Lodge exceeded our expectations. We had booked the lodge for the location and were not disappointed. I've had a long term illness for over a year now and needed some time away after my 50th birthday to relax and just breath. Heron Lodge allowed me to just be still, enjoy the views from the decking area or the balcony while listening to the water on the loch. Each day was different weather wise but we always sat outside, even if we had to wrap up. The staff were friendly and on the ball. I didn't want to leave and will certainly be booking again while looking at the other properties available. The lodge had everything we required and even when there was a day that l couldn't leave my bed my husband opened the french windows leading from the bedroom and l could see and hear everything that was happening on the loch. Heron Lodge was just wonderful and everything in the lodge was great quality. Thank you to everyone who made our holiday just perfect.
