Just OK

The property is slightly more run down than the photos show.Pros: very comfortable beds, kitchen is well stocked, neighborhood is great, lots of TVs, WIFI works well, clean linens, working washer/dryer.Cons: very musty smell, cockroaches in several places, visible water damage on one kitchen wall, dirty living room furniture.

Very comfortable rental

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was my third time renting this property, overall a great experience. Clean well stocked with everything to make our stay comfortable. Great location in a great neighborhood. With friendly neighbors that didn’t make us feel like tourists. A few small things I would have liked, a better grill for the yard and a light under the microwave for the stove. Small things that would make my stay perfect

Family Weekend

The property was excellent for a multi-generational family weekend with a dog. We especially enjoyed the big family room table and the back yard.

Great, pet friendly property!

This is a wonderful and beautiful home that was perfect for my family's needs during our stay. We brought our two dogs with us and they had an absolute blast running around in the backyard. The neighborhood is quiet and pedestrian friendly. Would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to others as well!

4th of july Weekend

The house was super cute inside and was good for what we needed it for and close to the beach, great location. The only thing there were ants everywhere in the backyard, in the front yard, in the barbeque and in the kitchen.

Perfect getaway

Place was super clean, easy to check in, the office was 2 mins from the house, no keys just PIN codes, so any body could get in in case they needed to. Straight shot to the beach 5 min walk, 10-20 buck Ubers to Charleston. Overall insane trip, vibes were immaculate, no hesitation would rent again.

Easy house

Good spot for quick beach trip. Not fancy but clean, good king bed and linens, good water pressure in shower. Easy walk to beach- beach cart in outside storage area. Sofa and chairs could use a cleaning and around the outside of house needs sprucing up/clean up and an outdoor hose is needed. Nice and close to grocery and all.

IOP fall getaway

We had a very nice stay for our week getaway on IOP. I did contact the management company about a few issues we had with our rental property. They were quick to respond and hopefully will be relayed to the owner for future renters. The house overall was everything we needed and the kitchen was well stocked and the beds were really comfortable. We are always thankful when we can find a pet friendly rental especially one that is within walking distance to the beach.

The only negative thing was the fragranced cleaning products that smelled like Febreeze, as I’m allergic . Best if non scented cleaning products were used as we had to air the house out for all the days we were there. Would stay again if different products were used because we really loved the place.

Great Location Not So Great Property

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Inside was semi renovated and clean but outside and back porch was unusable. The property is not maintained and the bugs prohibited the use of anything outside. The back porch and outside shower were not usable.

Great Stay. Has all the essentials

We had a great stay at this property. I give 5 stars for having all the essential items in the kitchen, and for everything in working order. We had six people -a family of four, including two toddlers and grandparents during our stay. One thing to note is that the living room is sunken by about 6 inches, so you'll have to get used to the step ( set expectations for mobility/accessibility or very small children) and the walking distance from the front door to the dunes of the beach is .44 miles; so a little further than the listing stated. This distance did change the way we used the house for beach breaks and meals than we had originally imagined. The rooms were well kept and comfortable. There were a few ants and spiders which is typical in SC for this time of year. Everything was clean when we arrived. We would stay again.

Perfect Family House!

We LOVED this gray ranch house on Isle of Palms. We have 2 vibrant young children and were meeting up with other family in the area. The house was perfect, spacious and inviting, without knickknacks or fussy decor to mess up. All of the furniture was very durable, and the large kitchen/living/dining area worked so well for having family over for dinners. The kitchen is well stocked for big meals and even leftovers. The backyard is great--we could play catch and t-ball with all the space and the tall fences. I do recommend bringing your own wagon to get to the beach. The one in the shed is very hard to pull. The walk to the beach is a hike but very doable. Thank you for this great space to enjoy our vacation and our time with family!

Reviewer Comments: the two and a half months i spent here was exactly what i had hoped for. house is very nice inside. got a lot of use out the back deck, yard and grill! the property outside could use some serious tlc, however that may just be a time of the year thing. house isn't run down at all but landscaping and general look outside was the ONLY thing i would change about the trip. thanks to island realty and their staff. very attentive, always on top of any and all concerns i had.

It was okay

It was okay. It was clean (a few bugs - to be expected) and close to amenities. A few items we would recommend addressing: musty smelling (affected brother's allergies); for a beach bungalow, not having beach towels was not expected; the beach chairs were rusty; the beach wagon/cart had a bent wheel so pulled to left constantly; the boogieboards were broke; no towel bars/hooks in bathrooms was odd; no potholders; had to pull front door towards you to get the lock to unlock; small bath showerhead could use replacing; and chains on NE bedroom would rattle which woke us up at times. Still - we did enjoy it for a place to crash and eat lunch and would stay there again. We were fortunate that the rest of our family was at a larger house just doors away so we spent most of our time there. We were also their as Hurricane Idalia (then tropical storm) came through and when asked about how we'd know where to go if told to evacuate, we didn't the response until the next morning.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful trip-the house was clean & well equipped (minus a few small items) and was in a good location. The kitchen layout is great, and the appliances are up to date & easy to use. There’s no shortage of televisions, and we didn’t have a moment’s trouble with the WiFi, which is unusual in a rental! Nice backyard for our dog, and a comfortably furnished deck. Some suggestions:Put blackout curtains in the front bedroom. Lights from cars on Waterway are sleep-disturbing.We needed, but did not have; potholders, a dustpan, and matches (or lighter) for candles. The backyard gate needs repair. It would not stay closed.The house was very clean, but there was an overpowering odor of bleach that lasted through our first night there.

Its very comfortable, beds were cool and soft, lots of ceiling fans and cool AC felt awesome after lots of walks back and forth to the beach and IOP downtown restaurants. Loved the proximity to the grocery store. Only negative was the washer and dryer didn't work for us so salty sweaty clothes got hand rinsed and dried a lot. But we did report it and said we really didn't mind if it couldn't be fixed for us. Just wanted to report. They did send someone to look at it right away. I do hope it gets fixed for the next visitors! Would come again.

There was a prior dog’s feces in the area so our dog tip toed around it. The pictures are dated on the site and did not show the privacy fence.
