Perfect Beach View

Bed was hard, but we made it work with our own pillows, sheets, and comforters. We always stay at Seascape because of the location and it is what we are used to. Front desk/reservations was kind and helpful. We will stay again at Majestic Sun on our next Destin trip.

Gorgeous Area - Condo Needs A Lot of TLC

Reviewer Comments: Miramar Beach is stunning and the location of this rental was brilliant for the music festival we were attending on the resort grounds. We just wish the condition of the condo were even halfway as impressive. The couch and throw pillows had heavy body odors from previous guests, the handle on the microwave was broken and ready to fall off, the appliance bulb over the stove was burnt out, the quality of the kitchen utensils while functional was extremely cheap and very limited, the master bedroom mattress was extremely uncomfortable, the shower in the hallway bathroom shower didn't drain properly and needed to be cleaned and mopped-up after each use. The overall impression we got was that the owners put zero to minimal care into the quality and condition of the contents of the condo, but enjoy the benefits of knowing that it will be rented in a highly otherwise desirable area.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: To say I’m frustrated would be an understatement. Upon arrival to 207 A, I noticed several things that didn’t work or weren’t cleaned very well. Just a few of the things that weren’t working include: missing lightbulbs in the dining room, missing batteries in the remote in the bedroom, lights not working in the bedroom and tv wouldn’t pick up any channel but NIck. The cleanliness of the condo was also disappointing. The toilets were disgusting. I took pictures of all these things. I was frustrated with the condo, but I wasn’t going to let it rude my trip to the beach. I’ve stayed at Majestic Sun for years with my family. I had never booked this unit or through Seascape Resorts before. I had high hopes for both. We had an issue with the security guard one night being extremely rude to us. When I mentioned it to the lieutenant on duty, I was told the guy was having a bad night and he had other complaints prior to this event with us. He was going to have a talk with him. I called Seascape to report the event. I was told that the person was going to take notes and give the information to a supervisor. I have yet to hear from a supervisor. It’s extremely disappointing.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Room was ok. I don't like that the owner left personal belongings in the room. Couldn't turn the a/c below 72 degrees. That is too hot. Need to get that fixed. HOA is a joke. It took the reosrt 3 days to unclog the shower that was stopped up on first use. I paid $150 cleaning fee only to find wet linens under the sink and used soap in the shower. To be honest we won't be back.

Our unit needs some maintenance tho. The bedroom door gets stuck on the trim/jamb door is starting to crack. The main shower also drains very slow. The mattress On the pullout couch is once again not something one can sleep on. May as well tell ppl to bring an air mattress. Or provide one in the units. Not sure if we will be back next year even tho I really like the location.

Great location, but no so great amenities

I have to say the location was great with a nice view. The condo was on the second floor, so there was a palm tree smack in the middle of the balcony. Everything you need is within a few minutes away and the beach was right across the street. The condo offered free umbrellas and chair, but they were they were not directly in front of Majestic Sun. We ended up paying for the umbrella that was closer for convinence. The condo wasn't as clean as I hoped. AC didn't work well, no remote for the Cox top box, and the fridge doesn't keep anything cold. Our ice cream melted after a few hours in the freezer. Furniture needs updating. Overall, we had a great time.

We do regret that you were not happy with our cancellation terms, however our cancellation policy is very clear at time of booking and we do offer trip insurance at time of booking - in cases where guests may feel they need alternative cancellation terms. Unfortunately, you agreed to the terms at time of booking, at time of registration, and the policy is notated on every single communication exchanged. While we do regret this caused you strife, it would be inappropriate for us to penalize owners for circumstances outside of their control (a guest choosing to cancel last minute).

The furniture wasn’t very clean,the baseboards were dirty and we did not use the pots and pans because they weren’t very clean. The broom and mop in the heater closed were unusable due to the accumulation of dirt and grease. Thank goodness we brought our own sheets and blankets. The mattress cover doesn’t fit the bed. Also the rental was to include beach chairs and umbrella but we were told that stops November 1 but wasn’t listed in the rental description.

We understand that you frustrations stemmed from beach service - however this service is noted on our website, on photos of the amenity in the website, and noted on all policies. Beach service is seasonal between March 1 and Oct 31 - and is weather dependent. While we understand how important this was for your stay, however since each unit is individually owned, it would not be appropriate to "comp upgrade" or change your stay to another owner. Again, we do regret that you did not understand you would not have free beach service and we were not able to come to a reasonable understanding of the situation.

The condo drapes lining was torn and the drapes were dirty. Some of furniture needs cleaning or replacing. The worse is the mattress. It was broke down on the sides and needed to be replaced. The bed was a king and they had put queen mattress pad on so that would slip off. I would like to come back and stay in different unit .

Great location!! Beautiful view!! Wasn’t really in the condo much but the pictures show you!! Free umbrellas but you have to walk a little to get spot bc the ones directly in condo are not for seascape and they charge you $50.00. Needs a few updates and paint but other than that I will return!

great location, great communication, but needs a deep cleaning

let me first say that the communication was IMPRESSIVE. Questions answered quickly, check in was clear and simple, check out was quick and easy. We even received a phone call (from an actual human person!) to make sure all questions had been answered before check in. the location was great. Nice beach view (ever so slightly obstructed by the palm tree) and good people watching from the balcony. This unit is right by the elevator- so there was some traffic outside the master bedroom in the AM - if you're a late sleeper, beware. That didn't bother us, though. Now the not so great stuff: it was a little dingy-- missing cabinet knobs, old counter tops with some stains, grimy baseboards, the extra bed layers had pet hair on them. The curtains in the living room had rips and stains. It just looks.....used. I can tell there had been a few updates- flooring in the Master, new tv console, paint maybe. Little items like that certainly helped. Overall, it did the job - relaxing beach vacation. CHECK. But it needs more work. If I were to go back to this exact unit it would be because of the customer service, communication, and location. Not because of the quality of the actual unit.
