For many generations our families enjoyed coming to Orcas Island for vacations. In the early 90’s we decided to build a home and raise our family here. We had 5 homeschooled kids who loved having the beach as their classroom and doing their part in helping build our home. If you look closely you will notice some creative touches that they added to the house! We are now empty nesters and have moved on to a smaller home in the woodland area of Orcas. We are excited to share The Nest with other families. We love tourists because they see our island with fresh eyes and are awed by the beauty all around us. Hundreds of times I have heard people exclaim, "I don't know how you get any dishes washed here, I would just stand and stare out this kitchen window all day!"
Our daughter, Anika, moved back to the island in 2016 to raise her family and is thrilled to be managing her childhood home.
