Our family of four stayed for 6 nights. Central location and easy to access downtown PF and Gatlinburg. Lots to do. Location is quiet and feels isolated in a good way
This place was perfect; the location, the cleanliness, the commutation. Loved waking up to nature sounds. Loved being extremely close to gatlinburg and a less than 30 min from Pigeon forge. Definitely would stay here again.
Beautiful cabin in a perfect location for everything
A perfect setting for nature viewing and privacy at the same time! Close to everything but secluded in the woods. Owner was super attentive and accommodating. We will definitely be returning! Best vacation experience we've ever had!
I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay here! Loved everything about it! Beautiful location. Nice and private. Only complaint is when people walk to the end of the street they can look in because there are no curtains. However with that being said on the last night we had a huge black bear come visit us and sniff around the hot tub which i had just gotten out of so it was pretty cool to see him up close thru the open doors. The location is perfect for Gailtlinburg and pigeon forge just outside enough to be in peace but close enough to be on the main strip in 10 min. Owner was amazing. Had a problem with ac one night, next moring it was fixed. First time using verbo and plan on coming back again next year and will def. Be booking this cabin again!
Our family had a nice 3-day stay at the property. This is very easy access from the Gatlinburg town. Quite private, with two sides facing the woods. The home had a good rustic feel to it. There was fuzzball and mini pool table to keep my boys busy while we were at the house. The internet was fast. The owner was proactive with communication, and got back to me quickly when I sent a message.
As for things we didn't quite like, there were no toiletries and no washer detergent. That was a surprise for a house in this price range. There were 3 detergent pods for the dishwasher, which I assume was allocated one per day of the rental (maybe dishwasher detergent theft is a thing?). Also while other nearby houses on the street has view of the mountains, this house doesnt.
One aspect that we should have realized but didn't was the location, while easily accessible from the town, also made it such that we need to cross town for most main hikes/activities in the area (except for river rafting). The town is very small, but it was crowded when we visited late March, and it added an easy 30 minutes to every hike/trailhead.
Cabin was at the end of a long winding mountain rode. Plenty of privacy in the back woods, but found it odd that the majority of the windows, including some in the bedrooms did not have blinds or curtains to be able to close. Absolutely no blinds in the front livingroom either. Bathtub jets didn't look very clean, so we were scared to use. Bed was old and not very comfy. Washer and dryer worked, but laundry detergent and dryer sheets were not provided. I could unlock the door with the keypad easily, but could not lock it using the keypad. Tried calling the owners around 8am on Saturday - they never answered or tried calling me back. Instead I had to lock the front door from the inside and use the hand lock on the side door to leave.
Overall was very happy with our stay. Easy to get to and great location. Very quiet and private and we did see a bear at the cabin!Shortly after arriving it started to heavily rain and the roof leaked right on the fireplace. It was a small leak and stopped as soon as the rain stopped. I contacted the owner and sent pictures. He responded immediately and since it didn't affect our use of the cabin, we stayed. There was a faint smell in the kitchen that we couldn't place and upon taking the trash out before leaving found that the bottom of the trash can was gross. I messaged housekeeping and they responded right away. The beds were hard but clean.A few minor hiccups but the cabin fit our needs and we had a great trip.
The cabin was great. It's off the beaten path but close enough to enjoy the city. We would stay there again. However, the log in information for the Wi-Fi didn't work. We did not attempt to contact anyone to get the updated info. Also, we arrived after dark. There were no lights left on outside the cabin. The dark porch and surrounds made it uncomfortable getting into the cabin the first time. If the wi-fi had worked and there had been a porch light, it would have been absolutely perfect.
It was great to find a location less than 2.5 miles from the soccer fields! Hot tub was great for my daughter after a long day of soccer! Close proximity meant we could rest between matches ! Would definitely stay there again! Did not have to communicate with owners during our stay. WiFi info provided was incorrect but we were able to figure it out without contacting anyone.Would recommend if you want a quiet stay in a peaceful location that is close to everything!
Needs a little TLC. Had to clean hot tub myself. May have been the lack of use because I have owned one before. But I would expect it to be cleaned and maintained if Iâm required to pay a cleaning fee. The outside porch walkway and deck were black and could not even tell it was wood. The mattress could use updating. All else was good. For price I would still rent again.
Had a great stay there. The owner was very responsive and friendly as well. Perfect location if you want a chill private cabin near downtown Gatlinburg
Pros: location, hot tub outside and inside, check-in process. Cons: place is dusty, beds are ancient;therefore, majorly uncomfortable, no hangars makes the closet space useless, no hooks to hang coats (we had winter stay), furniture is worn out, most plates and bowls are chipped.
I had an amazing time at this cabin, everything that I was looking for and expecting to see i found in this cabin. The location , the space, the views, the wildlife is just amazing. The town is less than 3 min away with the attractions for the kids etc. I definitely recommend this cabin, and will definitely be coming back here again.
It has a good mix of privacy and convenience. If you want the option to just stay and relax in peace and quiet while seeing wildlife - this is for you.
No thru traffic as the street ends in front of the cabin. Very private surrounded by woods. Wonderful Smokey Mountain views from the street while in route to the cabin.
