This beach cottage was the perfect fit for a non-fussy escape. We came seeking rest and rejuvenation, and got that and then some. The thatch roof hut on the beach provided relief from the mid-day sun and the house captured all the breezes that came by. Beautiful garden-like setting and private back porch were a plus. Location in Governor Harbour was ideal.

This was the second time staying and loved it as much as the first. Great host and amenities. The beach is right there and the tiki hut is awesome. The gardens were ablaze with color, beautiful blooms. Comfortable bedding as well.

Hummingbird is wonderful. Great sea breezes every day (April) that kept the house very comfortable and well ventilated with good screens in windows and doors. The owner has attended to every detail to make your stay easy and comfortable. Excellent views, everything you need is there, clean, good communication, very easy access to Governor's Harbor yet private and quiet. We loved it!

The location was fantastic! The house is stocked and everything is labeled. Owner is very responsive! Could use updated towels or bring your own. I found the mattress too hard. Great snorkeling around the corner from the house after the old pier. The neighbors dogs are lovely. So sweet. Overall a great place. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful experience at The Hunmingbird. The location is perfect-close to Governors Harbour but very private location. The beach offered snorkeling opportunities, especially down by the old pier. We enjoyed the sunsets and the tiki hut. Home was clean and well stocked with just about everything we needed. Communication was impeccable. If you stay here, say hello to the Northern curly tailed lizard couple that shared the tiki hut. We named them Watson and Rosalind.

My husband and I were comfortable here, such a really great location close to town and a great jumping off point for exploring the island. Basically on your own private beach, super quiet and lovely gardens. We appreciated the AC in the master bedroom, and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking our own meals. Home has a cozy vintage vibe, beach gear was in great shape. Owners and caretaker were very responsive.

Stone Cottage

We loved staying here. You get your own private beach, a cute cottage with everything you need and easy access to shopping. The owner Marion Macy is wonderful.

Our stay was exceptional! We loved everything about this property! The location is amazing and all of the kayaks and paddle boards and outdoor amenities were excellent. We couldn't have asked for more. The home has everything you could need, it was perfect. Our favorite beach, besides the one outside the house, on the island was just across Queen's Highway. It was perfect! We will definitely be back!

Great Location Great House

The perfect place for us . Beautiful gardens with many places to sit and enjoy. Comfortable home with lots of family areas and if you need some privacy. This home has it all. We booked for next year before we left so we don’t miss out.

Charming stone house on quiet bay

The Hummingbird Cottage was perfect for our family of two adults and two teens. Charming decor with lots of local art, a huge terrace on the bay, smaller terrace in garden, tiki hut on the edge of the water, lots of flowers. The house had everything we needed. We explore a dozen beaches in Eleuthera and enjoyed coming back to the stone cottage every day.

Great location and private

Loved the location right on the water. Very private. Over the 8 days we were there, we didn't see any other people. The water is perfect and we spent alot of time just sitting in the shallow water enjoying the sun.

A wonderful place to stay

We are very grateful for finding "Hummingbird." The cottage was very comfortable, and felt like home. We enjoyed meeting Marion and her family. They made us feel like we have known them for years. We would 100% stay here again, and again!

Beautiful waterfront cottage

This is a wonderful cottage that is well stocked, organized and clean. The decor is unique and added to the tropical feel of the location, which was perfect for accessing Governor's Harbour. Stayed on the water, the tikihut was relaxing and enjoyable and my husband caught fish just down the beach. We went exploring everyday and found the cottage to be a wonderful refuge to unwind and make dinner and relax. Excellent place to have your family vacation!

The Stone Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay in the Stone Cottage. The accommodations are very comfortable, and Marion has thought of and supplied everything you need. We especially enjoyed morning coffee on the terrace overlooking the Caribbean and walking on the beach marveling at the tide-pools. Thank you, Marion for being such a wonderful host.

Wonderful Private Vacation

The property was exactly as advertised. Marion is extremely helpful. The little rock cottage is equipped with any everything you would ever need for a stay at the beach. If you’re looking for privacy and a beautiful view, this little house is for you.

Relaxation at it’s best!

We stayed in this beautiful place for a week, if you like privacy, this is the spot! Our host, Marion is very hospitable and responsive. The house is very clean and well organized with everything at your fingertips and we loved the paddle boards, kayaking and snorkeling just a few steps out the door! Also located centrally on the island for easy access to groceries restaurants and fun day trips!

This place is my favorite place on earth.The house is right on the sand.It's very quiet and clean and well appointed.The water is warm and crystal clearThe beach is very private--There's literally no one on it.Best of all--There's a million sea shells.Go there now !!!!

Beautiful Bay Cottage!

The Hummingbird was amazing and so peaceful. We were in the water every day using the kayaks and paddle boards. It’s almost like having a private beach! The house had everything and the beds were comfortable. I definitely recommend! Marion was so helpful!

Wonderful!

We were so happy with our stay at Marion's cottage! The pictures don't do it justice. The home was lovely, comfortable, and clean. Marion was a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed, which we did. We enjoyed having the shade of the Tikihut and loved walking the beach most evenings. The kayaks were fun as well! We can't wait to return!

Perfectly relaxing getaway!

We just spent 12 days, and it was a wonderfully relaxing stay. The beach in front and around the point were great for walking, shell hunting and swimming. The tiki hut was my go to every day for coffee in the morning and cocktails at night. The paddle boards were also great fun and you can see a lot of underwater life from them. The house is well stocked and comfortable. Marion is a great hostess and was super responsive the few times we needed anything. Highly recommend this property!
