Words canât describe how amazing the beach and the views are at this property. It was truly a unique and unforgettable getaway! The home was well equipped for us to cook meals and we had plenty of towels, etc⊠I highly recommend Bonefish Barbiâs!
The location was amazing. The house was centrally located to everything! The beach was so nice and peaceful. The house is a littler older but still clean. Overall 10/10 experience
You couldnât ask for a better beach. Very private. Saw 5 others one day, every other day 2 or none. Brand new grocery store opened in GH (finally). Head and shoulders above anything else on the island. The only slight disappointment was new house built right next door. It was never a problem, just different than our previous stays there. Still - a 10 out of 10
Barbaraâs place was the perfect getaway for my husband and I! The views from every room in the house were unmatched and the beach had some of the best snorkeling in the island!
You cannot beat this property for the price! Beautiful views of that turquoise water, lots of ships passing by in the distance. And the glow-in-the-dark countertops are icing on the cake!
This was the perfect honeymoon location for my husband and I. The house had everything we could ever need, and with steps going right down to the deserted beach it was an absolute paradise. Highly recommend!
The house is very comfortable, was very clean, and the kitchen is well-stocked with pots/pans, dishes and utensils. The view is what you want when you stay at a house overlooking the Atlantic Ocean! If privacy, quiet, easy beach access and a chance to sit outside and check out the night sky is what youâre looking for, this is the place. Owner is easy to communicate with.
We got scammed at the airport in north Eluethera! Did not realize how rocky the beach would be. A little disappointed we were not told it was their off season and lots ofnthings closed.
I have been going to Eleuthera for over 20 years. Every home is different and being on a remote island has its challenges for property owners. This home sits on a great beach with plenty of privacy. It was very clean and the check in process was super easy. Some items are worn, but everything works. The bed in the blue bedroom sways and is super soft (the only negative). Awesome view and nice location.
My family of 4 stayed for 6 nights in late March. The house was clean and well equipped with comfortable beds. There are many chairs, coolers, towels, snorkeling gear, and even some floaties available for use. The view is amazing, I could never tire of the view. The beach is a short walk down a couple flights of wooden stairs. The sand is fine, soft, white with pink mixed in. You can walk for miles and miles in either direction. We will be back!
Amazing views and well laid out house for families
Bonefish Barbi's has an amazing view of the Atlantic Ocean and some of best snorkeling on the entire island right outside its doors. The layout of the house is perfect for families and the amenities in the house provide you with everything you would need. Barbi is prompt and thorough with her responses - I felt very comfortable in all my interactions with her. She was happy to provide recommendations and provided clear directions about the property.
Great floor plan - everything was functional although we didn't use the TV - internet worked fine when the power was on - lost power several times during the week, but that's expected. Saw a yellow-crowned night heron in the yard several days in a row - he may live there. Surprisingly private even though there is another house close by. The hedge and separate stairway to the beach make it seem quite isolated. Enjoyed walking Airport beach without driving.
My husband and two children (4 & 5 years old) stayed for a week after christmas. It was magical. The home is perfectly laid out for a family. The view and beach access (practically a private beach!) were amazing for all of us. Sandcastles and lazy coffee mornings everyday. The location is very near so many lovely short day trips for kids (cocodimama beach is ideal for 4 & 5 year olds and only a few minutes away). We stayed home way more than we planned because Barbi's is so well appointed.
Eleuthera has absolutely charmed us! We hope to be back soon!
Everything was perfect. All the utensils and cookware you could ask for to cook great meals. 5 minute drive to the town of governors harbour where you can buy groceries, liquor, and go to great restaurants. Truly a peaceful place with great views. House had beach chairs there and we enjoyed sitting on the beach and not seeing anyone for days. Snorkeling and spearing was awesome. I would bring your own fins as she had very small fins there and the current in the Atlantic is strong. The outside of the house looks like itâs weathered quite a few storms but it is a quaint and beautiful place that I canât wait to go back to
This property is a disaster. The fit and finish is something I would be embarrassed to show anyone. The stairs that lead to the beach are unsafe and need to be torn out completely and rebuilt. I am a licensed general contractor that regularly appears in count as a witness for two local law firms. Here, at the end of my career, I can say honestly say that this there is not a safe path of travel to the beach below. Repairs on this house through the years have been done cheaply and never seem like any have been completed. USE EXTERIOR GRADE FASTENERS FOR ALL EXTERIOR REPAIRS. The sofa needs to be replaced. we covered it with sheets, and the entire support system of the sofa is shot. This unit looked clean for the first five minutes we were there. When we turned on the ceiling fans, a clump of dust fell on me and behind a picture above the sofa, a clump of dust/bugs fell onto my wife. We looked for another place at that point but could not find anything. So, we cleaned. The dryer door is bent and has to be lifted to close. We were told in out "welcome letter" that the jug of water on the sink was for drinking and that it was not recommended to drink the tap water. That's fine. But why do I have to refill it? Potable water is the host's responsibility. You are asked to buy another jug if it runs out. If I would have known that I would never have leased this. The seal on the driveway door is poor and lets in bugs. Mold was present on various surfaces-millwork, tile etc.
The host is excellent and the property is in a good location with a great view, the a/c works well and there is good snorkeling right out front. Itâs a dated property that needs some work outside, nails are sticking up on the deck you have to be careful of and some of the steps going down to the beach need to be replaced. There is a lot of litter that washes up on the beach and the residents do their best to keep the area picked up but if you walk the long stretch of deserted beach to the south it is covered in plastic litter above the tide. You can hardly step without landing on a piece of plastic. It was heartbreaking to see.
We loved our stay at the Beachfront Glass House. This rental is certainly all about the view! The Glass House sits up on a bluff with a magnificent view of the Atlantic.( For those with mobility issues there are quite a few steps down to the beach.) Also, there are some uneven, raised areas on the deck that you need to mindful of. The beach itself is beautiful, but because of uneven rocks near the shore itâs challenging to wade in. (If you go north or south on the beach there are some unobstructed areas where you can wade in.)The layout of the house couldnât be better. It features a large common area with kitchen, and living room. In this common area there is a dining table adjacent to the kitchen. (We would have loved a table and umbrella on the deck!) We also think the grill might be better if placed on the front deck next to the kitchen. There is a nice separation between the two bedrooms that are located on either side of the house. The owner, Barbi, is a great communicator and gets back to quickly with any questions you might have. For future renters weâd recommend getting a shopping service to have the house stocked with what youâd like to have when you arrive. We did, and what a difference it made!At this rental the pluses outweigh the minuses. We would definitely stay here again!
Bonefish Barbiâs was a very comfortable stay for us on our third trip to Eleuthera. You canât beat the location with the beach right outside your door and centrally located to Governerâs Harbor making groceries, gas, and restaurants an easy trip. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of supplies to enjoy the decks and beach, and the wall of windows provided a panorama view of the ocean. The landscaping provided for a private stay and the outdoor shower was a lot of fun!Check in was easy, orientation with recommendations were very helpful, and the host was very easy to communicate with.
A lovely house with a glorious view. Sun rise every morning was worth getting up early! The house provided everything we needed and Barbie responded to all of our questions.
Rhode Island owners- We also own Bootsies Beach Break Bahamas- new house built next door- both houses are oceanfront and have one acre of land with their own stairs to the beach-homeaway/7879933
