Cette grande maison au bord du lac a une atmosphère détendue. Il est à 5 minutes de toutes les commodités et divertissements que Penticton a à offrir et se trouve sur une route des vins populaire. Cette maison est un lieu idéal pour les grands groupes. C'est un endroit idéal pour plusieurs réunions de famille et groupes de personnes à la recherche d'une semaine amusante au soleil. Il y a un pont inférieur au niveau du lac pour les déjeuners et les soirées romantiques au bord de la plage. Toute la maison fait face au lac et aux montagnes occidentales pour de beaux couchers de soleil et des étoiles. Ce n'est pas une station balnéaire de luxe, mais c'est une vieille maison confortable qui offre une baie peu profonde, une plage privée de 100 pieds et une bouée pour accrocher le bateau. Toutes les serviettes, la literie et les ustensiles de cuisine sont inclus. Cette maison est adaptée aux enfants et aux animaux domestiques. Si vous cherchez une semaine décontractée, vous avez trouvé votre destination.

Wonderful location

The location is amazing. The kitchen is adequate and the sitting area is a bit on the small side. The house did smell of fish when we arrived and the host did try to remediate the problem, however the smell did linger.

Great location with lots to do

Time flew by as there is so much to do and enjoy at this beach house. It's well set up for easy usage. Things like recycling on the decks, paddleboards and floaties etc allow for a very functional property. Will definitely be back asap.

Excellent getaway

Beautiful property right on the water. Excellent hosts available whenever you need them. Very close to town, paddle boards, a boat, two docks to swim or fish from. Amazing place and would love to stay again. Everyone loved it

Soothing weekend

The space was perfect. We felt very comfortable. Great opportunity to relax and enjoy some time with our aging parents. We really enjoyed the ambiance of the house and spectacular views of the lake.

Beautiful Lake Front Views

Trish and Ben were wonderful hosts. We had to rebook last minute due to a problem with the other property. They made everything work seamlessly for our group of ten. The views from the property are amazing across Skaha Lake. A great home for a large group to eat and socialize together while enjoying the great outdoors during the day. Thanks.

Waterfront Property Lake Skaha

We had a wonderful time at this house on the lake. We especially appreciated the beach, dock, and paddleboards. Also the deck overlooking the water. Most of the rooms had A/C. (two bedrooms did not, but as the weather was not super hot, it was tolerable. The house is older, but reasonably well maintained. One of the bathrooms had cold water only for sink and shower. In the kitchen there were no staples except salt and pepper. Perhaps that is driven by changes since Coved, but you need to bring sugar, any spices you anticipate using. Also there was no sheet pan or lettuce spinner. Other cookware was plentiful.

Beautiful location and perfect for families that like water sports

Our family of twelve (10 adults and 2 kids) and two dogs had a wonderful week’s stay in Penticton. Beautiful views, great location with amazing water frontage which fit our large family well. The house had all the interior amenities we needed and we thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor amenities such as the upper deck and dock. Paddle boards, life jackets and other water toys were provided. We had 2 younger kids that enjoyed the waterfront as the water wasn’t too deep and they had plenty of room to swim around. As per other reviews, there are many stairs to navigate inside and outside the house which can be an issue. Some of the stairs leading down to the beach were a bit steep and lacked railings. The spiral staircase on the inside can be a challenge and potential safety concern for smaller kids. Also, the kitchen was a bit on the small side for a larger group and does not have a vent or fan for the stove. The driveway has plenty of room for a larger group with space to park 5-6 vehicles. A couple of things to note, the parking can be a bit tricky as the house is situated on a somewhat busy street. Thanks Trishia for the two bottles of wine, it went well with one of our family dinners! (and thanks for providing the two stepping stools as well LOL)

We had a great time staying here. Very family friendly and had just about everything we needed. We were grateful for the air conditioning and lake access on the hot days between wine tastings!

Great place for a big group

We had 4 couples and 4 singles and there was more than enough room for us all! Sound proofing between floors was very good which was appreciated with us having a baby in our group.

Perfect Family Vacation

This property is ideal for a family vacation. There were 10 of us and we had plenty of space. The house is an older home with quirky charm. The grandkids loved it! Having a private beach was amazing! We brought our own inflatables but 2 paddle boards, a small kayak and life jackets were provided. The beach shore was rocky and water shoes were beneficial. The kids spent hours in the water and jumping off the dock. I enjoyed the views and tranquility. It was much better than the busy public beach. We wouldn’t hesitate staying at this property in the future.

A great family holiday!

A quirky older home, comfortable except for a couple of bedrooms with no AC (we were there during a heat-wave), and the kitchen is a bit small for a large group. Just know that there are a lot of steps up/down to beach level. Overall experience was positive - lived up to the promise of water toys which was super (Paddle boards, floaties, lifejackets, beach toys etc.)! Lots of shady areas on the beach level made it comfortable all day, even when it was extremely hot. Lots of chair/seating options at beach level. All in all - our family had a wonderful time!

Great place, would happily recommend it

We enjoyed our week here and would recommend it to others looking for a lakeside vacation. The house was as advertised, and actually better because they had done some upgrades since the pictures were taken. We brought a jet ski and tied it to the moorage buoy for the week which worked out well. Thank you to Trishia for your hospitality!

Relaxed beach house fun

Lots of water toys, books and games for kids. Excellent views. Comfy beds and clean throughout. Tricky stairs in some places for the younger ones. Overall it made for a nice getaway for all ages!

Family Water Fun

Our family of six adults and five children, ages 3 to 10, tries to find a week by a lake each summer. We love swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking and just plain relaxing in a tranquil setting with clean and comfortable accommodation. Our Penticton week on Skaha Lake could not have been better. Everyone loved their bedrooms. Even in the heat wave, we were comfortable. Thank you for such a variety of sand toys, water floats, junior kayaks and two brand new paddle boards! We averaged five hours at day in or by the water. Glorious for all! Bonus: Marina five minutes away for the morning we rented a speedboat and wakeboard. Excellent coffee and bakery at marina.

Lake Access was Great! Perks & Ponderings

Our group of 11 people enjoyed our stay - easy check-in and Trisha even brought us extra glasses and towels for our large group on day 1. Private access to lake, paddleboards, and kayaks was fabulous and the young adults in our group took advantage of the watersport equipment, while the older adults took advantage of the inflatable island that we brought ourselves. Temperatures were high with some smoke/air quality issues while we were there, so we appreciated the shade from trees on the lakefront and the AC in the main living areas. The balcony off of the kitchen is an outstanding feature, plus it has a water misting system that was very useful. Of note, with our large group, we were tight on food storage space in the single fridge available; the 2 queen-sized bedrooms do NOT have AC and sleeping was uncomfortable most nights in the heat for the people in those rooms; price seems high compared to some other properties in the area although few can accommodate large groups such as ours with direct lakefront access. Overall, we enjoyed the property, amenities, and our stay.

Wonderful Host, clean house, and enjoyable beach

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this house. The house has AC upstairs in the kitchen and living room and one room downstairs. There are many ways to enjoy beach time, swimming, water sports, sunbathing. The host has left floaties for kids (and adults), paddle boards, and wood for fire. There’s shade and sun areas by the beach and a large patio adjacent to kitchen was very useful for our group dinners. Very clean house and welcoming host. Grocery stores are close by too. Be mindful of the many stairs between bedrooms and kitchen and beach if you have physical limitations. We hope to book this place again :)

Beautiful home on the lake

My best friends and I celebrated our 10 year friendaversary at this heaven on earth home ♥️ We stayed 3 nights and were so impressed with the accommodations, all 13 of us slept so comfortably in our rooms and we were able to enjoy every meal together around the massive dining room tables. Our favourite part was outside in the backyard though! Beautiful, lush lawn meets the refreshing water of skaha lake along with 2 docks and multiple decks. It was pure bliss and where we spent most of the weekend. So much room for all of us to be together the whole time, which is exactly what we wanted. Thank you so much to this home! You’ve helped us create a tradition that will live on for many more years to come.
