DES VUES SPECTACULAIRES! Avec Dock, sur 3,5 hectares d'intimité!


Vintage Summer Cottage se dresse haut sur le littoral rocheux de Westport Island dans la rĂ©gion de la cĂŽte du Maine. VUES SPECTACULAIRES sur les Ăźles environnantes, les bateaux de pĂȘche au homard et les phoques communs. Il y a aussi un accĂšs facile Ă  l'eau et Ă  un quai. Le phare de Hendrik's Head et l'ocĂ©an ouvert sont directement au sud et facilement visibles. La merveilleuse exposition sud-est permet une vue imprenable sur l'eau, la faune, la navigation de plaisance et le lever du soleil depuis chaque fenĂȘtre! Chambres spacieuses et spacieuses avec des meubles de chalet et des antiquitĂ©s. Chauffage central. Un grand porche enveloppant sur le cĂŽtĂ© ouest du chalet, pour regarder les couchers de soleil. Il y a un quai en eau profonde sur une belle pĂ©ninsule surplombant une crique au nord du chalet.
Le chalet principal est de 4 chambres, (3 reines et un roi) et un lit simple sur le porche fermé. L'unité attenante a une cuisine complÚte, une terrasse au bord de l'eau et il peut accueillir 4. Il est accessible depuis le chalet principal ou depuis une entrée extérieure séparée.
Un paradis pour les plaisanciers!: Si vous avez un bateau ... Apportez-le! Il y a un quai dans la crique qui pourra accueillir un bateau de 22 pieds. Il y a toujours de l'eau profonde au quai. Il y a une rampe de mise Ă  l'eau publique sur l'Ăźle Ă  environ 8 km du chalet ... Des locations de kayak sont disponibles juste en haut de la route et peuvent ĂȘtre livrĂ©es et ramassĂ©es. La rĂ©gion de Sheepscot Bay est un paradis pour les plaisanciers, avec de merveilleuses destinations Ă  proximitĂ© ...

PropretĂ©!: J'ai eu la mĂȘme merveilleuse galette de nettoyage fiable depuis 26 ans. Le chalet est toujours impeccable et les matelas sont neufs, confortables et entiĂšrement recouverts de protĂšge-matelas de haute qualitĂ©. Ce chalet est louĂ© chaque Ă©tĂ© depuis 28 ans et n'a jamais rien reçu sauf un avis 5 Ă©toiles !!

We booked this house for me and my bridesmaids for my wedding and our experience was incredible. The house is absolutely beautiful (we took our first look pics and group pics in the yard!) and the hosts were very attentive and thoughtful. I'd book this house again in a heartbeat!

The host, Ellen, was wonderful to communicate with - leading up to the stay and once we arrived. Each time we reached out to her, she immediately responded. She also gave us wonderful ideas of places to go and things to do around the area. We lucked out with beautiful weather and took advantage of the delivery service of kayaks and paddle boards to spend time on the water just off the dock. We grilled tons of food for dinners for our large group, but we did have to spend a significant amount of time cleaning the grill as it was quite dirty upon arrival. Otherwise, the kitchen had all that we needed for preparing food for all of us. The views from the house were just incredible. Thank you so much!

We had a great stay at Ellen's property. It was very peaceful along the river. There is so much to do in the area within a 30 min. radius. Ellen was easy to work with and gave us lots of insight about the area and activities. We would stay again.

Good Service but a bit outdated and far

Ellen was great and communicative and very helpful throughout. The house is a bit outdated which is not evident from the pictures. A lot of the pots and pans were dirty and had to be washed before use. The outside is absolutely stunning! The biggest drawback is how far it is from anything you want to do. It's close to 20 minutes to get to Wiscasset and 45 to get to boothbay etc etc. This was challenging with children. If your plan is to stay at the house more this house is fantastic!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The home and grounds were beautiful. Fishing and kayaking with the seals right from the dock were highlights. The kitchen and dining room were great for family meals. We enjoyed a day trip to Boothbay Harbor and a hike at Camden Hills state park. Locally we had a great meal at the Montsweag Restaurant.

What a wonderful place

This was truly a dream come true as we planned my daughter‘s graduation. To be able to find a home to fit 12 people, have this unbelievable view and every thing we needed in one location was just incredible. We were even able to host a last-minute graduation dinner with ease. The property and the view made the rain seem like sunshine and rainbows. Ellen is an incredible host not only does she communicate quickly, but with care. She truly wants her guest to have an amazing time.

Great weekend getaway in Maine

I visited this property with a group of friends for a weekend. It’s a great getaway in Maine, beautiful property with a ton of space for activities. We had a blast playing wiffleball, grilling outside, and sitting by the fire. There’s also a local lobster fisherman that dropped off some freshly caught lobsters that turned out to be delicious. Would visit again, highly recommend!

Classic Coastal Maine Cottage

Our family stayed at the large house and property while attending a wedding in Boothbay. We enjoyed the incredible water views, boiled lobster, fished from the dock and built fires in the fire pit. Very idyllic location!

Wonderful stay on Westport Island

Our large extended family (young adults to 80+) had an awesome time at this lovely home. The lightening fast internet and smart TV was appreciated by the young adults, and the beautiful view and ample seating was a bonus for all. The dock was perfect for our 26 foot motor boat - which was very useful for zipping over to several of the nearby restaurants in Bath, Robinhood, and Boothbay Harbor. The huge kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and the gas grill was definitely used and enjoyed. Ellen, the host, was very attentive and checked in on us multiple times, and made several useful recommendations. We will definitely return!

Beautiful place to find yourself

The area was so beautiful. Our host apologized for the uncommon foggy weather, but even the fog was stunning as we watched it roll in and undulate above the water. We felt very comfortable in the house; one of my traveling companions remarked "I felt very at home here."

A favorite family vacation!

We hated to say goodbye to our stay here! This was the perfect spot for our large family and age ranges. The views are the best that we have every experienced at a rental home. Ellen was outstanding in her communication with us and was extremely helpful with her recommendations on restaurants, activities, etc. The outside cooking area was key to our meals - complete with the grill, griddle. lobster pot and picnic tables. We rented a boat for the week and enjoyed having the convenience of our own dock. We had a few toddlers and 5 year olds in our party and they loved the play house, child size Adirondack chairs, and the lawn to romp around on. We couldn't have been happier and plan to book this property again!

Beautiful setting!

This is a beautiful spot -- great views and plenty of space to relax, cook, and play. The dock is wonderful if you have a boat or just want a swimming spot. Things to note depending on the make-up of your group... the stairs are quite steep and shallow; the 4 bedrooms on the 2nd floor of the main house share a standard bathroom; there are 2 fridges, which is great!

Amazing Property

The location is amazing. Views are best in Maine. We rented Kayaks that were delivered and picked up from dock. We rented a 22 foot boat and kept at deep water dock. Host was excellent. Provided restaurant recommendations, Kayak rental numbers, had lobster delivered to the house. She is great. Will definitely rent again

Awesome Spot in Lobster Heaven!

Ellen's place was a perfect location for a low key weekend with friends during a high school reunion. Love all the decor, the home-y feel, and the fantastic views! We spent lots of time on the dock, enjoy some lawn games, grilled, and had a wonderful lobster boil dinner complete with fresh, dock-delivered lobsters. Would love to stay here again!!

Great Property!

We had a great stay here, a reunion of old friends. Great fires, a variety of weather, beautiful view, useable dock for a dinghy or smaller vessel, and all that's needed for a steaming lobsters and clams/mussels. A car is very helpful for trips to markets, restaurants, and other destinations.

Absolutely stunning coastal Maine location, large charming property that is homey and well equipped and Ellen is the nicest host ever. We had the best family reunion despite COVID and so glad we booked this property. Highly highlyrecommended. We’re planning to return next year.

Lovely setting

The house provides so many different places for kids to play and well-spaced-out rooms that allow for privacy. The setting is gorgeous--on the water, you can watch the tides from the bay window in the living room (but the seals are too far to see without binoculars, so bring your own). And a hummingbird visits the feeder on the window regularly. The only tiny thing is that you are 20 minutes from a store, so stock up on staples on the way in. Ellen was wonderfully available by text andinstantly responsive. The grounds are varied and beautiful, very well-kept.

Multi Generational Family Vacation

The house and location were perfectly suited for our family. Pictures of the property and views can not capture the real beauty. Wiscasset and Boothes Bay Harbor were great for dining and shopping. Ellen supplied us with excellent recommendations for local dining and activities including a top notch fishing guide who picked us up at the pier on the property. We cooked breakfast on the large outdoor gas griddle, had s,mores around the fire pit and ate several meals outside including our Maine lobster and clam boil. The house well equipped to handle the ten adults and children in our family. Thank you Dana and Ellen.
