My wife and I were looking for a get away for an evening that wasnât too far. We found this retreat and couldnât have been happier. The property was beautiful and quiet, it was the perfect place to recharge our batteries away from the city. Will definitely come stay again soon
The property manager was so helpful, especially when there was an unexpected power outage and water main break. She offered us an upgrade and when we decided to stay at a hotel for 1 night, refunded us for the night to offset the cost. Our dog loved running around the property! Had there have been more guests, this place wouldâve probably felt more like it was supposed to (people relaxing by the pools, fire pits going, kids playing, etc.) - but due to the water main issue, everyone cancelled. We think it would be fun to come when others are there because of the environment it provides. This property is beautifully maintained and appears to have another pool being built. It is a little ways of a drive from downtown Waco, closer to 20 minutes. But it was nice to be out of the city in a pretty place while we slept. We also used the fire tables and made sâmores that the property manager provided free due to all of the water issues. We just had 1 complaint, which was about the water after it came back on from being shut off all day. It was a little brown and sputtery when we used the faucets. But we knew that could be expected after the pipe being down. Definitely a great place to stay if you want to relax and get away from the city! Itâs also right in between the city and any vineyards you might want to visit, which is nice. Overall, we would come back again, knowing that we will be taken care of, have a quiet place to sleep, and something thatâs not the normal hotel.
This place offered the perfect slowdown my husband and I needed. Located just outside the hustle of the city, this place was perfect for our getaway. Loved sitting in the courtyard under the strings of lights just listening to nature. We spent one day at the Magnolia attractions but our favorite part was driving in the gorgeous back country roads of Crawford, TX and just actually staying in our tiny home just doing a whole lot of nothing together. The lodging was very inviting and comfortable, it just mad you want to stay awhile!
We escaped the metroplex to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday and couldnât have picked a better place. Loved the seclusion while still being 15ish minutes from great restaurants and coffee shops.
My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and he took me to Magnolia. We had such a wonderful stay. We live a fast paced life so the quietness and solitude of Gathering Oaks was perfect! SO clean and neat!!!
I would recommend this wonderful place over and over again!
Charming Tiny House in Quiet and Beautiful Setting
I was looking for a place to stay while dropping off my daughter for her first year at Baylor. I wanted something away from the busy hotels in Waco and this was just the ideal place. I appreciated the quiet, secluded, and gated location. The tiny house had everything I needed and was very charming and comfortable. I would definitely recommned this to others visiting the area.
Amazing!..Close to Waco yet in the quiet of the countryside.
The pictures do not do it justice. The tiny house was beautiful with its dark stained shiplap walls. The metal four poster queen-sized bed afforded a great night's sleep. All the conveniences were thought of - microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker with supplies, blow dryer tabletop ironing board and iron, large, flat screen TV, wifi to name a few. The pool was just the right size for a few strokes to cool off in the evening by the glow of the string lights in the nearby trees. We're sorry we couldn't stay longer, as this would be a great spot for a quiet retreat.
We stayed in a tiny house for several nights while visiting family in the area. The directions were perfect. The retreat was secluded and beautiful. The tiny house was small, but very clean, and had everything that a hotel has and more. Our family used the pool and the kids played on the zip-line. They loved it! The area was covered in trees and we met the most wonderful people who were also traveling, many were there to see Magnolia Market. I would love to come back again!
Thos weekend stay was magnificent! The location was far enough away from the city for peace and quiet, but close enough that it was easy for shopping and dining. The property itself was so great! The tiny house experience was a lot of fun and very romantic. We could not have been happier with our stay! We can't wait to come back.
The hosts were so accommodating and great at communication.
We will be back soon! This may end up being an annual trip for my wife and I!
We enjoyed our stay. The only thing that i noticed while we stayed there is that the A.C unit was kind of loud. Other than that we loved the tiny house it was very cozy , cute and the bed was super comfy! :)
The tiny house was so cute and comfortable! You will love the location; right off of Hwy. 6, but set back, nestled on a lovely property. The owners are very nice, pleasant people. I will definitely stay here again.
