Family trip in July

Our family had an amazing stay at Villa Alegria in July and we wish to come back and stay there again next time we visit Cavtat. The pool area was great and it has a beautiful view over the ocean. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed and the host was friendly and helpful.

Beautiful place, quiet and well kept. Pool was amazing and view was great. Owner was great and very helpful. The walk back up from Cavtat was a climb but the town itself is so lovely and a perfect size. Lots of boat trips to Dubrovnik etc ans lots to do in the area. We loved it here and would love to come back some day.

Great stay, view and host!

Great location with probably the best view in whole of Cavtat. The host Pero is a great host. He was really flexible in terms of check in, check out and other requests. He even offered to drive me and my wife to the airport for free. My best recommendations for this place.

Great apartment with fabulous views

Really comfortable basic one bed apartment with fabulous views and pool. The host, Pero, was really helpful and a lovely man. A supermarket is five minutes away as is the bus to Dubrovnik. Steep hill down to the main town but you can catch the bus up the hill.

Pero was a fantastic host friendly, helpful, and always quick to respond. The highlight of the property was definitely the view; it was absolutely stunning and incredibly peaceful, making for a truly relaxing stay. Throughout our trip, we reached out to Pero for recommendations on sightseeing and general local tips, and he was always accommodating and easy to communicate with. One thing to note: if you’re planning a more lively or party-style holiday, this might not be the ideal place. The apartment is in a residential area, so loud music isn’t allowed. One night we did play music a bit louder than usual, thinking it was contained within the apartment, but we did receive a noise complaint. That said, I would still give this property an excellent rating. My overall experience was amazing—I loved the apartment and would happily return.

A fantastic home from home accommodation

The property is amazing everything was immaculate and spotlessly clean.Stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment had spectacular views of the town and Dubrovnik in the distance.The pool area was a little oasis with a fantastic clean pool and well kept gardens a wonderful seating area under a large wooden gazebo to sit for a little shade. Now about the owner Pero what a true gentleman always on hand to see if you needed anything which we didn't as everything was supplied down to dishwasher washing machine iron and ironing board.Pero and his lovely little boy also took us all back to the airport on our departure Really didn't want to write a fantastic review as would like this little gem to be kept a secret but i would be really just being selfish. Deserves a 5 star.So 10/10 for Villa Alegria and thank you for a wonderful stay.

Two Bed Apartment

Had a fantastic short stay here with a lovely family run business. You will struggle to beat the view we had of Cavtat. Dont expect to walk into a sleek modern appt , it is a little dated but you have all you need and everything is in working order. The pool is excellent .We would have no problem returning again. Few Tips. The walk back from town is very steep so plan to get the bus (no 10) to stop 1 on the hour, or use a taxi. Stop 1 is next to the By the way Restaurant 5 mins from the appt. Going into town , turn left just after the restaurant and walk directly downhill via a road and steps. There is an unmarked woodland path directly at the back of the apartments if youre steady on your feet , taking you almost directly to the bus station. Airport is only 10 mins away and you are directly under the flight path but somehow added to the holiday.. No noise at night. Nearby supermarket is ok but they never had change so i would advise using a card. Couldnt fault the local By The Way Restaurant if you dont fancy a walk into town with a take away service available. Finally pack a waterproof, if you are unfortunate to get rain you will no about it!!

Lovely

The best bit is definitely the view from the pools and apartment balconies (except for the small studio - that overlooks the car park and trees), you can see down over the peninsula in Cavtat and all the way over to Dubrovnik old town. Sunsets are amazing. The apartment had lots of space, everything in good condition and was a nice place to be. The pool and garden was also well looked after and a great place to relax. It should be noted that it is directly under the end of the flight path for the final approach to the airport. Whilst this makes transfers quick it does mean that you have the noise of the planes quite often (and this will be much the same for other properties in the rest of Cavtat), but they do stop overnight. We went at the start of September 2024 and there were some building works about 500m away with a relentless jackhammer digging out rock. Obviously this isn't the fault of this villa and won't go on for long, but if you are booking for sept/Oct 24 it might be worth asking if this has now finished. The owner, Pero was really friendly and helpful. We had a great stay.

Joli appartement très bien équipé spacieux avec vue mer incroyable ... très bonne climatisation. Hôte à l'écoute et très sympa. Situé à 10mn à pied du centre et des plages et à 2mn d'un market. Magnifique jardin et très grande piscine avec local équipé d'un frigo.

There was nothing to complain about! great views, the apartment had everything one could wish for, AC in every room. Quiet and comfortable around the pool. idyllic. The owner Pero was super nice, he is there if you need help without being assertive. I can really recommend Villa Alegria.

The villa is in a very quiet neighbourhood with a fantastic elevated view over the harbour. Perfect spot for a great sunset. The apartment had every amenity you’d need for even a long stay. Very little noise can be heard from neighbouring apartments. A car (or use of public transport) is recommended if you aren’t particularly mobile as the elevated position requires a little physical exertion if you’re wanting to explore. Its still only a 10 min walk to Cavtat harbour area (maybe 15 back)! There’s a small supermarket 3 or 4 mins walk away. Pool area is great with a toilet and shower. Pool itself is 12m wide! We stayed a week and wouldn’t hesitate to go back. The owner, Pero, is very welcoming and communicative

Perfect stay ! The property is amazing, stunning sunset view from the swimming pool and the apartment was clean & spacious ! There is a supermarket up the road next to the bus stop to Dubrovnik and walking distance to restaurants & town center. It was very relaxing and quiet, due to the post-pandemic situation we were the only clients and enjoyed the entire place on our own. No negative point. Thank you so much

Loved everything. Great location wonderful host. Would stay again. This villa is set in a peaceful neighbourhood with probably the best view of Cavtat old town, bay and nearby towns. There wasn't barbeque facilities or a hot tub as advertised but the lovely outdoor pool, beautiful garden and hard to beat view made up for this.
