Amazing Property

The property was amazing. The manager was very helpful. The staff was polite and accommodating. The location was perfect restaurants, bars and shops were in walking distance. I will definitely stay there again.

The rooms were huge and clean. Our stay was great. We would definitely stay again. Only thing I would recommend is that they give two room keys because the room key the air conditioner works only with the room key so when you leave, you can’t take your key with you.

Amazing

Amazing stay at Cactus hotels! Service was excellent, with luggage storage an extra day, welcome drink and allowing me to wait for a bus at their hotel without a new reservation. The hotel is beautiful - the rooms are spacious and nice. All in all a perfect stay.

I love El Cactus - everything feels luxurious. The room was huge, the bed was comfy, the rooftop pool was perfect for lounging, & the staff was extremely helpful & solicitous. I stayed here 5-6 years ago & am happy to report it was just as good the second time!

I LOVED my stay at El Cactus. The staff from every shift were very positive and attentive at all times. The property itself is gorgeous, the rooms are clean, and it is very peaceful. It is less than a 10-minute walk from the center where the bars and restaurants are located.

Another wonderful stay at the Cactus - the staff is always helpful and super friendly. We were a bit bummed out that the property discontinued their wonderful breakfast, but there are plenty of options nearby to get good Colombian breakfast, and the nespresso machine in the room is a life saver.

Our stay has been excellent. We couldn’t sleep the night before in another hotel and we choose this hotel because of its position which is a bit outside the noise of the disco and bars. The staff was super nice and they put us in a very comfortable situation. Highly suggested if you want to stay out of the mess of Santa Marta!!

Excellent. So comfy.

We love this place. The staff are so wonderful, very helpful, always so friendly when interacting with us. We have stayed in several hotels in the Colombia and the staff at El Cactus are by far the best we have experienced. The hotel is lovely, very clean with spacious rooms and very comfy beds. We love the rooftop pool. Our stay here was so enjoyable we booked again for our return to Santa Marta after our hike.

This place is perfect for a relaxing and spacious stay in Santa Marta. I am relieved and so, so glad to have found this beautiful and quaint accommodation. Maria was perfect and the rest of the staff and security were extremely professional and very kind. The apartment is spacious, bed is comfortable, and the experience was simply unforgettable. I will be back and simply cannot wait!

The hotel is pretty and up to date, but it's the staff that are truly outstanding. Extremely helpful and courteous. Thank you guys. It seemed like most people had breakfast in their rooms, but take it on the upstairs terrace. Beautiful and peaceful way to start the day.

Cactus has personal attention and care, Maria, Indira y Carlos take great care of their guests. The room is super spacious, beds are on the too firm side, walking distance to restaurants and centro. No parking and driving and finding parking are a challenge. Breakfast is superb, go hungry!

This is a very unique property. The rooms are fantastic. If you are there for a few days though clean towels are additional. Any cleaning is additional actually. No good options on sight but good delivery options they will help you with. The entire area is very walkable.

Hotel is new, rooms spacey, pool very small. Its located about 3 blocks from where the restaurants are and 6 blocks from the sea. However this area the Centro Historico is very rundown, stinky and dirty. In the morning lots of people sleep in the street. Many lots/places abandoned….

After a disastrous start to my stay at another property, I found El Cactus at around midnight. They got me checked in quickly and even gave me a fruit smoothie. Every aspect of my stay was wonderful. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. For as nice as the property is, the staff is even better. Mariah was a pleasure to deal with each day and helped me out a lot (speaks English if that's your preference as well). Great location as everywhere I needed to go was a 10 minute walk, or a quick cheap can ride away. Will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Santa Marta!

Don’t look anywhere else to stay in Santa marta! The staff here are wonderful. The place is a short walk ( 10 mins) to the hustle and bustle of the beach and the surrounding area. The hotel is quiet and safe! And for remote workers, the wifi is great!!! Both my partner and I were on video calls at the same time no issues at all. The breakfast is amazing and everyone is so nice and helpful. Also the water pressure is great and there’s actually really hot water. Beds are comfy and the hotel is spotless. Can’t wait to come back!! Thank you so much 😊

Beautiful oasis!

On the whole it was beautiful. Our only concern was getting hot water at the times we wanted to shower. The staff is aware and I believe they are undertaking effort to correct the problem. I think only our room was inconsistent.

Excellent séjour dans cet établissement, que ce soit le logement ou le personnel très agréable, toujours souriant et à notre service. Très bien situé dans le centre historique à proximité des bars et restaurants, mais également des autres commerces. L'appartement est conforme au descritif et aux photos du site.
