Escape to our charming, yet spacious cottage nestled along the Severn River, just a stone's throw from Severn Falls Marina and the popular Waubic water-access restaurant. Ideal for families, friends, or couples looking for a peaceful getaway, this spacious cottage comfortably sleeps 8-10 guests and is dog-friendly!
NEW FOR 2026: Enjoy our brand new covered dock down by the water! We’ve added a few pictures to the listing!
Key Features:

- Main Floor: 3 cozy bedrooms, including a primary bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. The middle bedroom grants access to a loft for extra sleeping or lounging space. A powder room is also conveniently located on this floor.

- Open Concept Living: The cottage boasts a large, fully-equipped kitchen, dining room, and a living room with a gas fireplace. Three oversized patio doors lead to a massive wrap-around deck, perfect for outdoor dining and relaxation. The deck features a BBQ area and a gas fire pit, perfect for hassle-free evening gatherings. The deck overlooks the beautiful river and is a great spot to boat watch during the day and stargaze at night!

- Loft Area: Accessible via the middle bedroom, ideal for additional sleeping space or a quiet retreat.

- Walkout Basement: Includes a rec room complete with a wood stove (for confident users in colder months), games, and a large sectional. The basement features the 4th bedroom and second full bathroom as well as the laundry room. The Muskoka room houses a relaxing hot tub, and leads to a second spacious deck with seating and steps down to the river.

- Outdoor Spaces: The property offers a fenced dog area, a second traditonal fire pit for cozy evenings, and steps down to the water (note: we no longer have a dock, swimming access remains available, the new dock will not be finished for summer 2025).

- Dog-Friendly: Bring along your furry friends to enjoy the fenced yard and serene surroundings. Please clean up after your dog both inside and out to make sure the cottage and grounds are fit for future guests to enjoy.

- Plenty of Amenities: All the essentials are provided—linens, kitchenware, towels, and more. Whether you’re visiting for a winter weekend or a summer escape, this cottage is perfect for all seasons, offering multiple indoor and outdoor hangout areas.

Our family had a most enjoyable stay. The cottage was large and well equipped with games and activities to occupy the teenagers and young one. Of note is the large, well outfitted kitchen.The deck is a great place to sit and enjoy the view and the gas fire pit!Thank you for the amazing stay!

Fantastic stay! Enjoyed the entire duration of the trip. Host was super helpful and promptly answered to all our queries. Property is also well maintained and interior is very nice providing a very good ambience. Plenty of bedrooms with enough sitting capacity for the entire party to spread out and enjoy the stay in peace. Did not experience any issues throughout the stay. Highly recommended!Thank you!

Owner was very helpful and responsive. Our stay was lovely, the cottage had everything you needed. The back deck was a perfect spot to sit with lots of chairs, shade and space for all. The inside was clean and tidy, with very comfortable beds. The water was warm , and was shallow enough to walk right in. Overall we highly enjoyed our stay.

Great property. Nice amenities. Once the dock is finished will be perfect. Don’t be afraid to try the rope swing!! Only drawback is a fair bit of boat traffic but if that doesn’t bother you you’ll love it.

Excellent Stay

Had a really good time here with our people. The owner was easily accessible to speak with when needed. We didn’t go down to the lake as it was winter when we went but I wouldn’t recommend it for people who have mobility issues as it is a bit of a walk down flights of stairs to get to the lake area. The view was still beautiful.

Perfect weekend away

Absolutely love my stay here, beautifully situated on a river, the place features a fully featured upper and lower deck. The fact the place had the option of an outdoor gas fire pit, indoor wood stove and outdoor traditional camp fire circle meant we could enjoy the outside whatever the weather. Each room had its own charm, hot tub and games in the base meant were great!Host was very flexible and easy to contact. The location is great, close to some great hikes.Overall amazing place and would absolutely go back. Thank you.

Best Cottage Vibes

This cottage was pure magic. From the moment we pulled up the winding driveway, it felt like stepping into a peaceful storybook. Every corner of the place was filled with warmth — twinkle lights on the porch and big comfy couches perfect for afternoon naps. Morning coffee on the deck with birdsong in the background was unreal. Evenings were spent around the firepit under a sky full of stars. You can feel how much love and care was put into this place. It’s the kind of spot that makes you forget about your phone and just breathe. Absolutely perfect — we’re already planning our next stay!

Wonderful experience

We wanted to enjoy the beautiful fall colours/weather, so our family decided to rent a cottage for the weekend. We needed it to be easily accessible for our elderly parents and this cottage was perfect! We really enjoyed the beautiful scenery, cozy cottage and the wonderful amenities that came with it. There were things for each of us to enjoy, such as beautiful walks, relaxing with books, gatherings around the fire and playing many games both inside and out. We created memories that we will cherish always and we would highly recommend this cottage to family and friends.

Winter Family Getaway

Stayed with my family of 4 for a few nights in December. Lots of snow which made access to the property challenging but manageable. Well equipped kitchen. Gas bbq. Two separate living areas allow groups to do their own thing if they want. Shuffle Board was good fun. Excellent hot tub - large, outdoor but accessible without walking through the snow, powerful jets and cool lighting. Two fireplaces gas and wood. Tons of firewood easily accessible for the wood stove. Lots of bathrooms and beds. In winter nearest grocery is 25 minutes away in town of Coldwater. Impressive thing to see is the Big Chute Marine Railway 10 minutes away. Moonstone skiing 30 minutes away. Property is as described in ad.

10/10 All Around!

Visited the last weekend of March. Couldn't be happier with this lovely property. Chloe was super flexible about checking in & out times and was amazing with communication through the entire booking process, during the stay and even after the stay. She provided us with plenty of useful information and gave me prompt and quick answers to any questions I had about the place. An ice storm started just after we had arrived on the property and we ended up losing power about halfway into the stay. However, thanks to the generac system, the power switched over immediately and we were still able to enjoy all the amenities to the fullest extent. The sunroom with the hot tub is an amazing getaway and provides shelter to any potential weather and wind while also being easy to open up any doors or windows to allow some ventilation. The house is extremely welcoming and provides any small things that you may have forgotten at home in a pinch. The wood stove heated up the basement nicely and there was plenty of wood easily accessible to start it up. The bedrooms were spacious and laid out nicely and the bathrooms were great as well. If you're looking for the perfect cottage getaway with the traditional wood theme, it would be a shame to pass this up. Tons of deck space as well and an amazing view over the river.
