Thank you so much for having us at your lovely Little Fig Tree Cottage. It was warm, cozy, and incredibly welcoming â the perfect home away from home. The location was ideal, close to everything we needed. We had such a wonderful experience and will definitely be back for another visit!
What a lovely little cottage. All the well thought out extras such as dog and people treats and fresh coffee were a hit. We would definitely stay again.
We enjoyed our stay here. The cottage was comfortable and contained everything (& more) that we needed for our time there. It's location allows for an easy walk to town. The cottage is extremely clean and has lots of lovely little extras to discover.
Home away from home. We stayed with our two spoilt Pomeranians, who were welcomed.A wonderful time in beautiful Childers, the accommodation reflected a friendly heritage town perfectly. Wanted for nothing.
Thank you for such a beautiful stay. Wonderfully friendly and helpful hosts, and lots of lovely little touches within the cottage to help us feel at home. Also a nice little seperated yard for my dogs to be play in a secure space. Would recommend and will stay again!
Our stay was lovely. Very different and historical place. The home was lovely super clean and everything you need is there. The owners Karen and Trevor just lovely. So convenient just on the main road. Lots of room.
The property was exceptionally clean with everything you could want.
Trevor is an excellent host who was very accommodating.
We would definitely stay again when next in the area.
This Cottage is so beautifully presented and feels like a home away from home. Plenty of space even though its open plan it feels very private. The decor is stunning and amenties are amazing. The fully fenced yard was perfect for pur 2 dogs. The hosts were nothing short of exceptional. They catered to all our needs and more.
Only spent one night as we were passing through Childers. However, we could have easily spent more time there. Great yard for dogs, very secure. We were made to feel very welcome and would not hesitate to stay again.
Karen was so friendly, all and more was available to us. We just couldnât believe the extras that were provided. I have stayed in other places and now I have used Staz if this is an example all should follow Karenâs lead
We loved our stay with Karen and Trevor! They had left so many special touches in the room (pet treats; ice creams; cereal; fruit) and really cared about our stay being great! Communication was amazing and so responsive. Itâs open plan and a little trickier for a group but it worked well! Weâd love to go back as just a couple sometime. Overall was a great experience and definitely a place weâd stay again!
Welcomed by host & felt 'at home' immediately. Very well appointed property, everything you needed was on site. Could contact host if any issues or questions. Just loved the cottage aspect. Gold star đ
Stayed overnight after visiting friends for lunch, rather than face a 3hr drive home in the evening. Decided a quaint stone cottage would be more pleasant than a motel. Very clean and comfortable, centrally located walking distance to town, undercover carport at the front ! Host kindly left chocolates and icy poles in the fridge ( huge hit with husband ) there were other basic condiments too Many thanks ! Will return.
The cottage was surprisingly spacious and private. The host considers the needs of guests, with lots of little luxury touches. Well equipped with everything you need.
Karen was very helpful when our plans were disrupted by Cyclone Alfred. We appreciated the attention to detail that made this 'home away from home' for us, such as herbal teabags and cereals. Very conveniently located, walking distance to shops.
We migrated north in 2021 from the Sunshine Coast thinking we were moving to a small country town. We soon discovered Childers is a town full of fun genuine caring people that all look out for each other and love to have a good time. We thoroughly enjoy offering accomodation for travellers and their pets that is comfortable, clean and well appointed.
We chose Childers as our new home simply because we fell in love with the historical town and the Queenslander we bought that was built in 1912! The stone cottage next door was an added bonus that we embraced and decided to offer as short stay accomodation. We have spent 2 years cleaning and tidying the properties whilst renovating our Queenslander.
The stone cottage is open plan with a mezzanine (dorm) level for extra guests. Fabulous undercover area runs around 3 sides of the building and a fully fenced garden area for pets to enjoy.
