- Set amongst native bush with good privacy - Characterful Cottage - Bush and mountain views
Set back from the road on the Lake Peninsular, this older, more basic style cottage is so private that it requires you to weave through the surrounding native bush to get to the door. This house is a classic example of 1970s NZ architecture and it is set on a number of levels, with the living and kitchen areas set around a big log burner. A proper original bach, it is a place to relax and recharge. Approx 10 minutes walk to Lake Rotoiti and approx 10 minutes drive to St. Arnaud Village Store.
Special conditions: Not recommended for small children (steep staircase). No pets. Smoking outside only (please dispose of butts thoughtfully). This property relies on rain water for its water supply. Please conserve water especially in dry periods. Thanks.

Lovely rustic 70s bach in the bush, great sound system, a few old cds and lots of random old cassettes to listen to. Beautiful wood fire to add heat and atmosphere. Driveway needs work, couldnt get down in our little car! However great stay.
