A Greyt Escape is a private, self-contained 4-season guesthouse set on the back half of over 1 acre of land, named after our love of our retired racing Greyhounds. Itâs centrally located just 1 km from Innisfil Beach Park, within walking distance to convenience stores and restaurants, a 5-minute drive to shops, pharmacies, gas stations and dining, and 15 minutes to Friday Harbour.
The space
The guesthouse is approximately 500 sq. ft. and includes a living room, full kitchen, 1 bedroom with queen bed, and 1 bathroom with a brand-new shower with Kohler shower head installed in 2024). The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, stove, OTR microwave, dishwasher, Keurig, kettle, toaster, can opener, chopper, cookware, baking pans and bowls, dishware and utensils. Coffee, tea, creamers, sugar, salt pepper and cooking oil provided. One bottle of water for each guest and a welcome snack basket are provided.
The bedroom features a medium-firm queen mattress, down duvet, USB charging nightstand and storage. The living room sofa converts to a bed for a 3rd guest. The unit includes heat, wall A/C, ceiling fans, Wi-Fi, cable TV, Netflix and board games. Bedding, towels, extra pillows and blankets are included. Maximum occupancy: 3 adults or 2 adults and a child.
Outdoor Area
Guests enjoy a partially fenced private yard with a deck, gazebo, patio furniture, fire pit, outdoor dining table and propane BBQ. **Availability of fire pit is subject to bylaw limitations and if statutory fire bans are in place, the fire pit will be unavailable for use. â ïž Outdoor amenities are seasonal and generally unavailable from November 1 to May 1, weather permitting. Fire pit and BBQ access during winter may be possible depending on weather conditions but cannot be guaranteed. *By booking, guests accept and acknowledge these conditions.*
Guest access
Guests may access the guesthouse and the rear portion of the property only. No access to the main house, garages, or front yard.
Pet Policy
Friendly, well-behaved dogs are welcome and must be included in the booking. More than one dog may be approved on a case-by-case basis- please inquire in advance. Cats are not permitted.
Note: neighbouring properties are mostly unfenced, and although rare and unintentional, it's possible a friendly neighbour dog may occasionally wander onto our property. Please be aware of this if you have a reactive dog.
Parking
Summer: One dedicated parking spot included; limited extra parking available with advance notice.
Winter: Parking is limited due to snow management. Please inquire if bringing more than one vehicle or a trailer.
Winter Conditions
PACK YOUR BOOTS! Snow removal is arranged regularly when there is 4+ inches of snowfall but timing cannot be guaranteed. Snow removal is not an immediate service and may accumulate between visits. During active or heavy snowfall, walkways, driveways, and outdoor areas may not be immediately cleared and salted but we will do our best to complete as soon as possible. A shovel and salt are provided should guests need to clear some snow on front pathway and rear deck. Guests are responsible for exercising caution when entering, exiting, or walking around the property. Backyard access is limited in winter, and outdoor amenities are weather-dependent.

Additional Info
Please treat our property with respect. The nominal cleaning fee helps cover routine cleaning between stays (laundry, vacuuming, etc.). We simply ask that you tidy up and leave the space in good condition when you depart.
*If excessive or deep cleaning is needed, a $150 fee will be charged after checkout. Any missing items or damage beyond normal wear and tear may also result in additional charges.*
There is no laundry on site, but a laundromat is a 2-minute drive away.
Weâre within walking distance of Circle K, Pizzaville, Brunoâs Bakery (Italian hot table), and C.W. Coops restaurant and bar. Additional amenitiesâincluding shops, banks, coffee shops, grocery stores, pharmacies, LCBO, gas stations, and more restaurantsâare just a 5-minute drive away.
Friday Harbour is only 15 minutes away and offers a boardwalk, shopping, and great dining. The 400 Market and Gateway Casino/Georgian Downs Racetrack are also a short drive away.
We live in a separate home on the front half of the property and respect your privacy, though you may see us coming and going. Weâre always happy to help if you need anything.
