Dine indoors or make the most of Gladstone’s fantastic weather with two private outdoor areas, including an enclosed all-weather space for when the skies aren’t so kind. Love to cook? The fully equipped kitchen has you covered – or take a short 1–2 minute stroll to local cafés, fish and chip shops, or the friendly Yaralla Sports Club. Yaralla offers a variety of dining options plus activities such as bingo three times a week, Friday night raffles, pokies, a fitness centre, and a bowling green.

Your peace of mind is important to us – the property is fully fenced and gated, with a carport big enough to accommodate both your car and a boat, all behind a secure gate.

Perfect local BnB

This little cottage was perfect for our short stay in Gladstone to visit. The property was presentable and homely, and we felt safe and secure while visiting. We will definitely be returning when we’re back for future visits with family.

Lovely homely accomodation.

Wonderful property, with a very homely loving feel inside the property. Enjoyed it very much and all was smooth sailing! Would definately stay again, or recommend to family/friends. :)

Very neat n tidy. Comfortable inside and outdoor setting areas. Visiting new grandson and family members who loved the cottage style of the home.

Equipped

Tidy cottage, with plenty of living space indoor and out. Was well equipped with cooking gear, toilet paper and other products. Host was very accommodating. Was great value, will stay there again.

Tidy and comfortable

Quite tidy, floors needed a more thorough vacuum but I stayed with my pet so didn’t mind too much. Shower had very strong water pressure but maybe need the shower head raised so an adult can shower comfortably. Beds were very clean and comfy. Maybe need blockout curtains or blinds to bedroom. Had to improvise and hang a couple of throws up at the windows to block the morning light. Loved the new air conditioning units. Thanks for a cozy stay.

Terribly disappointed, Ghetto feel

The first impressions of the property were not good, we drove past twice saying it cant be that one, the property had bars on the windows which didnt give a good impression of feeling safe, the area wasnt good at all, we felt like we were in the ghetto!! We took our little dog with us and was advised by the owners beforehand to pick up dog poo, dont let the dog on the bed or on the sofas. I advised our dog was crated and slept in his own bed and under no curcumstances would we leave poo that he had done. But....when we arrived i scoped out the garden with him only to find 7 poos there, when sending images to the owner the reply i got was thank you julie.....not sure where the apology was or why they werent removed before we arrived??? The sofas had removable covers on that werent very clean at all so we put beach towels of our own on them for us to sit on. I did check underneath them and the sofa had a few stains on. The bed in the main bedroom was terrible, the topper was ridiculously thick and way too soft. The quilt cover and sheets werent fresh at all, when clean sheets have been put on that day you can smell the wash powder , they smelt stale! Also the quilt cover had pulls in the material which in turn made it look very untidy and worn. The spare bedroom didnt have curtains, luckily we didnt use that room. The shower was very short so you couldn't stand under it. Kitchen multi socket adapters kept tripping. The train across the road ran all night....extremely noisy!!

We would like to address a few points for future guests’ clarity: • Cleaning & Dog Waste: Our property is professionally cleaned between guests, including a full yard check for pet waste. Unfortunately, on this occasion the guest arrived only 4 hours after a prior departure, which meant our gardener could not attend without interrupting their privacy. The issue was addressed immediately after their stay. • Pet Policy: We welcome dogs and provide all guests with our standard pet guidelines before arrival to ensure the cottage remains comfortable for everyone. This includes requests to keep pets off furniture and beds. • Neighbourhood & Safety: Barney Point Cottage is located in a friendly coastal community with a mix of residential homes. Bars on the windows are a feature of the cottage’s original design and are for security reassurance, not due to any safety issues. • Furnishings & Bedding: We use a Professional Cleaning service, and all linen is freshly laundered for each booking. Our mattresses have toppers for added comfort, though we understand mattress firmness is a matter of personal preference. We take feedback seriously and continuously work to maintain and improve our property. Many of our guests have thoroughly enjoyed their time here, as reflected in our other reviews.

We love the area because we love to fish, and we find Gladstone is just the right size city for us.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We think this area is great to enjoy all year round because of the climate.
about 26 in winter and 31-35 in summer.
You can swim all year round and dare i say the weather isnt extreme like Sunshine Coast or higher, the humidity is not so unbearable.
Plus your in the middle of everything, great beaches, not so busy, all the shop are at your fingertips.
We think this is a great location for your holiday.

We tried to present our property as spacious and relaxing.
We wanted to give guests a choice of places to eat, entertain and relax with friends and family.
Plus still have your quiet area's for those peaceful times.
We love the open, light filled areas, we love the doors that open to the outside from the kitchen and your master bedroom for night cool breezes.
The bbq area receives a lovely southerly breeze when your dinning outside
The huge undercover back pation is a great place to sit and gather should you have bad weather, if your lucky..
The living /dinning area is spacioous with a huge comfortable lounge with a recliner chair for the boss
The kitchen has a large fridge, air fryer, elements, electric frypan and microwave, so you can cook your favourite meals should you choose to stay in.
The really uniqueness about this property is its location
Walk to the pub, i minute to the Yaralla Sports Club
2 min walk to cafes, chemist, fish n chips etc
3 mins to city for all the shops you need
Location, comfort, space, and an amazing ambience is your Barney Point Cottage
