This is a hard review to write because there is an unresolved issue at this time. Many of the features of this property were attractive. Certainly the location and free private parking were attractive to my husband and I. The Short North Arts District is primarily populated with much younger folks than our age group, but we did not find that a deterrent. This unit was the lower level with was very helpful to 2 76 year olds unloading 2 weeks worth of travel stuff. We did use the washing machine and dryer in the basement. It was being repaired when we arrived and although fixed, there was still standing water when we left. The concrete basement floor was crumbling and was tricky right in front of the units. The bedrooms did not have a lot of room for much besides the beds (which were comfortable). Thankfully we were able to use the second bedroom for our suitcases etc. A single sofa was in the living room-4 people would have had difficulty sitting and talking as there were no additional chairs. There was a large farm table and benches in the ‘dining’ room. It was very hot while we were there but the window units and tower fan kept us quite comfortable. There is a coffee maker/Keurig combo in the kitchen which we loved because we brought our supply of k-cups and could make tea as well. There are many small touches that soften the minimalist feel to the apartment. The host was available to answer questions, etc.
The exterior is sketchy. The front porch has rotting
