I spent a wonderful week at Chrissie and Michael's Rustic Studio. The view over the Tasman Sea was magical, and the apartment was exceptionally clean and well furnished. The hosts are charming and helpful, and I highly recommend it!
We stayed two nights at The Loft which was a very private studio style accommodation above a large workshop/garage owned by our hosts. We had views of the sea, a generous living/sleeping/dining space and a cute little kitchen corner with all you need to self cater simply. The furnishings, bathroom fittings etc. were all very modern and well maintained. Such a comfy bed and only a short drive out of Greymouth. My husband tweaked an old back injury the day before we left and Mike and Chrissy very kindly let us check out later so we could fit in a video consult with the doctor while using their wifi. They had more guests arriving same day so quite a big ask. We loved our stay and would definitely come back again. Thank you.
We stayed 3 nights at Mike and Chrissyâs place near Greymouth. It was perfect for what we needed ⊠quiet, open, and near enough to Greymouth for groceries and meals, but not so close that we felt we were in âthe cityâ. The weather was cooperative, and we enjoyed eating most meals outside on the deck, and watched the sunset over the Tasman Sea each evening! Comfortable bed, small but well-stocked kitchen, and a very up-to-date bathroom. You have to carry luggage up the stairs, but itâs easy. Parking was easy. Mike even brought us some tomatoes and potatoes from the garden. Friendly, open, honest people. Weâd come back again!
