First, I want to be very clear and upfront. I made the mistake.
I booked this B&B, and my husband bought tickets for a concert in Fredericton, not Moncton. As soon as I became aware of my error, which was just past the refund cut-off time, I reached out to the owners, letting them know of my mistake.
I've reached out twice, and I've heard nothing back.
This is a mistake that cost me a fair chunk of money, and not hearing back or attempting to reconcile the error so that we both feel okay is a bit, well, not nice.
I worked in hospitality for the majority of my life. I owned a restaurant, and I'm well aware that making mistakes is part of being human. I believe in reconciliation, meeting in the middle, whether it's me or someone else. Resolving an issue should be the go-to.
Our world is filled with strife, and we are inundated with media plugs on how to unite as a country. I'm Canadian, and not only that, but I live in the maritime, so I'm a local, so not hearing back was disheartening.
I hate writing a review like this, but the unwillingness to respond to my queries leaves me a wee bit sad.
The cost of goodwill is immeasurable and comes back to us in spades.
