Welcome to our waterfront eco-friendly, off-grid haven with breathtaking water views, spanning over Fredrick Henry Bay from Lime Bay, over Mount Wellington to Carlton Beach! Nestled on spacious acreage, our home was meticulously crafted, designed as both a family retreat and a welcoming Airbnb escape. Experience the tranquility of off-grid living, marvel at the stunning sunsets, and create lasting memories in our thoughtfully designed retreat. Welcome to your home away from home!
House Layout:
Our retreat features 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The Master bedroom boasts a luxurious Queen bed, a private ensuite with a bath tub and shower, and panoramic views that will leave you awe-inspired. The North wing accommodates the other 2 bedrooms, with a waterfront Queen bed offering spectacular vistas and an additional room with 2 cozy singles. All beds are brand new, and we pride ourselves on providing hotel-quality linen, meticulously washed and pressed by our dedicated linen service.
Open Plan Living:
Nestled in the heart of our home is an inviting open-plan living space with soaring ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows that perfectly frame the mesmerizing view. Adding to the cozy ambiance, a wood stove takes center stage in the living area, offering warmth and comfort, with ample firewood provided for your convenience.
Moving into the fully equipped kitchen, you'll find a 6-burner gas stove and oven, dishwasher, French press, kettle, toaster, and microwave. For those lazy mornings at home, we also provide a selection of teas and coffee, ensuring your stay is both comfortable and delightful. Additionally, high-quality soaps and cleaning products are at your disposal for added convenience.
Laundry and Sustainability:
Embracing sustainable living, our house is powered by solar energy. In the large laundry room, you'll find a washing machine, and just outside the door, a hills hoist for air-drying your clothes. We also offer interior drying racks for those days when the weather doesn't cooperate â a testament to our commitment to eco-friendly practices.
Outdoor Paradise:
A mere 1-minute walk from the house leads you to the water's edge, where a grassy hillside descends to a rocky beach. Gather driftwood to create a scenic picnic bench, take a refreshing swim, or try your hand at fishing. For surf enthusiasts, a 10-minute trail leads to the Carlton River Mouth, providing ample space to explore and ensuring your privacy as you wander through this coastal paradise.
A leisurely 4-minute drive from the gate will take you to the heart of our property on the newly laid gravel road. Meander through the she oak trees, and you'll soon reach the spacious shed, where the property's solar panels and battery system reside. With the entire property operating off the grid, rest assured that a backup generator is on standby, ready to seamlessly take over if the sun decides to take a break.
Southeast Holiday Rentals operates from the charming township of Dunalley, conveniently located just 20 minutes from the property. If you require any assistance, Macy or one of our dedicated team members will be readily available throughout your stay to address your needs and strive to accommodate any special requests you may have.
