The cabin had a very cozy feel and the view from the balconies were gorgeous! A look over the valley plus the sunrise and set were all spectacular. Pay attention to the booking where it says a truck or suv with ground clearance is recommended. It's definitely an "adventure" getting there! If we ever come back to the area, we'd definitely stay again!

We loved this cabin. Literally, on top of the mountain, the view was breathtaking. The cabin is cozy. The hot tub was so relaxing with a great view as well.

Cabin was great. Hot tub was already on for us when we got there which was awesome. It’s a bit of a drive from the front gate up to the cabin itself on some steep gravel roads, maybe 15 mins, so be prepared for that. Would stay again.

It was a well-kept, quaint cabin with a BEAUTIFUL view of the blue ridge mountains that was perfect for two people. We noticed the hot tub was a little dirty and they had someone out there immediately to clean it and refill it. Charles was quick on communication and a great help with directions to the cabin.

Amazing getaway for the wife and I! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Hot tub overlooking the mountain in the night sky was a definite highlight. The place was tidy and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Be mindful of the mountain road. We managed just fine in a front wheel drive SUV. Make contact with the property manager beforehand, GPS got us in the vicinity but our contact guided us the rest of the way without issue. Also, be mindful that you are in the middle of the woods on a mountain, we did hear a few scuttling footsteps here and there but we kept our food put up and it didn't really bother us. Overall, amazing stay and may be an annual getaway for us!

Absolutely beautiful and serene

My girlfriend and I stayed here for the weekend and it was absolutely delightful. The cabin was so cozy and cute. We had a bit of anxiety driving up but I made it in a slightly lowered Honda Civic in the rain so it can be accessed as long as you know how to drive. The view was so stunning for sunsets. We would definitely love to return.

Cabin was very comfortable and the view was beautiful. The road to access the cabin definitely requires patience and 4 wheel drive. Only complaint was in directions. We were not told that gps will not get you to the address given. Directions need to be given in the email instructions.

The ride up is bumpy and I would definitely recommend 4 wheel drive for snow. Going in November was amazing, literally at the top of the world at this place, and the hot tub is a huge plus!

Great weekend!!

Thoroughly enjoyed staying at this cabin, we loved how every level of the cabin was something different, the view is amazing From the upper deck and the hot tub and lower deck was really nice, Very cozy and comfortable! The host was amazing and responded quickly with any questions that we had and was very helpful! We will definitely be back to stay again and tell all of our friends and anybody we know about this place! We love it!!

We had a pretty eventful stay. First walking in we noticed a dead mouse on the floor. Day 2 the power went out due to the storm. The next morning the water wasn't working.

From the owner: Hi Tavish, we are sorry to hear that you did not have a good visit. - We are located at the top of a mountain, and we share the space with plenty of critters. We do what we can to keep the ones we don't want around at bay, but sometimes they get in. We are sorry for the inconvenience. - We had a heck of a storm, and it knocked down some trees, cutting the power off to approximately 153 homes in North Georgia. We can't control Mother Nature. - Due to the power outage, it also knocked off the power to the well. I have made some costly improvements that we hope will solve this issue in the future. We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

Rough road to paradise

We loved the cabin, the hot tub, and the views. It was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The only issue was the rough road getting there. If it wasn't for the road, we would love to visit it over and over again. The owner was very helpful

Price is okay, need a 4x4 to get up there forsure. Sadly would’ve been 5 star…but hot tub didn’t work, and the propane tanks for the grills had no propane. Great for a hidden get away if everything worked.

After reviewing your feedback, we followed up with the homeowner, and they shared the following:-We informed you before arrival that recent snow and rain made the uphill dirt road rough, but it remains accessible without ice. While a truck or SUV is recommended in the listing, cars regularly make the drive.-The hot tub issue was due to a faulty relay, which we informed you about in advance. We provided a temporary fix and offered an extra night as a gesture of goodwill. The control box has since been replaced, and the hot tub is now fully operational.-Both grills have been tested and have propane, with a full spare tank available. The ignitors may need a few attempts, and matches are provided in the kitchen drawer as a backup.We appreciate your feedback and hope the mountain views and peaceful setting added to your experience.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a weekend getaway and the cabin surpassed our expectations. It was located on top of a mountain with spectacular views. Far away from all the noise and and very peaceful. The cabin inside was nicely equipped and the layout was very cozy. A big plus was a very comfortable bed and a nice wood fireplace. The hot tub was a nice bonus as well. We would definitely stay here again and suggest anyone that wants a quiet cabin getaway to give this place a try. One thing to know is the road access is a long dirty road and there are some rocks and washouts so a high clearance vehicle is highly suggested.

Cabin was ok...you really have to stop at every intersection to check the road signs, they can be hard to see..and our sign was slightly turned and we missed it. But the main thing we had a problem with was the inside steps which had no hand rails from living room to kitchen, we had 3 people in our group and 2 of us fell on the steps. But just some bruised knees. if you are a senior be careful. First night the tv lost all signals and never came back on during our stay..the second night we lost all power but that was due to a bad storm. It was a good getaway but could have been better.

Following the directions to remain on Brushy Top Road and turn left onto Lory Lane should ensure a smooth arrival, as outlined in our directions. -From the beginning of our rental history, it has been noted that this property may not be suitable for elderly or handicapped guests, with photographs illustrating the presence of steps. We are in the process of updating our listing to accurately reflect this information. -Regarding the TV, we checked it after your departure and found it needed adjustment back to the correct channel via remote control, after which it functioned properly. Just not worth it.

Found at least 10 scorpions in the house, cobwebs, dust, and bugs everywhere. The driveway/road is terrible even in a Jeep. Even worse at night as the Lory Lane st sign is hard to see & you cannot see heron ct sign at all. We got very lost the first night and had no service to help with navigation. The ac works great downstairs but it’s a good 10-15 degrees hotter up stairs. Getting from the house to the main road took about 15-20 minutes.

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- The home is regularly exterminated, but due to its rural location, occasional pests are normal. After you reported the issue, Evolve followed up to provide a fair resolution. However, without any documentation, a refund or further action wasn't deemed appropriate.- Our cleaners consistently do a great job preparing the cabin for guests, ensuring there isn’t any dust or cobwebs.- The listing recommends a vehicle with high ground clearance, such as a truck or SUV, due to the mountain roads. There's also a map on the listing showing the approximate location of the cabin so guests can decide if the location and necessary routes meet their preferences.- Detailed driving directions are provided in the pre-stay information to assist with navigation in case of losing service.- The A/C works well downstairs, but it does get warmer in the upstairs bedroom at mid-day. A portable A/C unit will be made accessible in the next few weeks to address this.We do all we can to provide an excellent guest experience and we look forward to hosting many satisfied guests.

Perfect for a short getaway

It was really cozy! Had an amazing balcony view accessible from the bedroom that is on the third floor. Probably the most beautiful sunsets (plural) I have ever seen. Comfortable bed and the space felt clean. The interior layout was super open and you can communicate standing at opposite ends of the house. The fireplace was the perfect follow up after spending time in the hot tub. ***I do feel obligated to also share a scorpion was on the kitchen floor (2nd floor). It was brown and blended into the floor very well, I have no idea how my girlfriend even managed to see it. When I went to get rid of it, it started to try and hide in the cracks of the floorboards. We walked around barefoot almost the entire time being in the cabin. So please do not be ignorant like us. Wear feet protection at all times. Other than the scorpion making us paranoid it truly was a wonderful stay. The drive up the mountain is actually very rocky and bumpy so make sure your vehicle is equipped to handle the drive. The communication was superb as well.

The ride up the mountain was terrible. There was pot holes all in the road and ruff. The direction up the mountain about 11/2 to 2 mile it told us to turn around. Try doing that with no where to turn around. Ww finally got turned around and ended back where we started only to start over again. We finally made it to the cabin. We got in fine. When we opened the door it snelled lime it haf been closed up a very long time. Then there was spider webs everywhere on the porch where the hot tub was spider webs on the tops, underneath, upstairs balcony was spiders webs and around and under the red recliner in the bedroom spider weds. The was a couple of scorpion seen around the towel area. The lighting was horrible. You couldn't sit at the table and ate because it was so dark. The TV service was a nightmare. There was no blow dryer and if there was my wife couldn't see in the mirrors bec they were so high. She had to put makeup on in the truck. The fridge was not clean. The couch smelled like dirty feet. Good things we had some spray all over boby spray deodorant or we wouldn't have anywhere much to sit on. Overall we were ready to go home but made the most of it because we had already spent the money.

We strive to offer all we can for our guests' comfort. - We do not offer a blow dryer; we're sorry for the inconvenience. - The mirror in the bathroom may be too high for short people. - We have the information about the mountain terrain in the description. We recommend an SUV or 4-wheel drive vehicle. We also provide directions via email. We understand some GPS apps will turn you around; this is out of our control. - The cabin is closed up in between bookings, but we make sure it is clean and 100% guest-ready. - The cabin is located in the middle of the woods, and we have exterminated, but at the end of summer, we can see tiny scorpions from time to time. - We have TV service which includes WIFI, and we also provide Netflix, Peacock, and Paramount Plus. - Housekeeping usually does a good job cleaning the fridge. Sorry, they had issues.We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

Nice cabin but could be nicer

The owner was VERY communicative and gave perfect directions to find the cabin.The drive up is about 10 mins of winder loose gravel, mountain road. You MUST have an off road/suv type vehicle to get up there. Getting into the cabin was easy. No issues there. We got the hot tub working with the help of the owner, but…the water seemed a bit iffy. Once we arrive I noticed a few things. 1. There was a strong urine smell in the livingroom. My guess is the previous guest had a dog and whoever cleans the place does a semi-ok, not so great job. There was a dog chew under the coffee table so maybe they just vacuumed around it? One of the pull out beds was COVERED in dog fur and had a hole in it. Thankfully we had our own sheets. The other bed had some random black stuff on it so obviously those blankets/sheets were not washed prior. None of the mattresses have bed bug covers. We did use the very very few pieces of wood for a fire outside. There is another pill of scrap wood but most of it was too long for the fire pit and had nails in it. There are just a few cob webs that definitely could have been swept away but again whoever cleans it does the absolutely minimum. The bathroom was pretty clean except there was a towel on the back of the door from previous guests. The balcony is really cool, they definitely don’t wipe anything down out there but the view is amazing. There are a lot of spiders/bugs (it’s the woods obviously) outside but I didn’t see any inside.

We’re sorry you experienced some issues during your stay. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your review, and we wanted to share the following:- The guest before you did bring dogs and paid a pet deposit. The owner was unaware of any urine smell and will address this with housekeeping. They are also considering no longer allowing pets to help maintain higher cleanliness standards.- The pullout beds are not used very often, as most bookings are for couples. During your stay, there were three and at times four people in the property instead of the two guests originally booked. The owner will make sure housekeeping does a more thorough job checking under furniture and washing all bedding moving forward.- The hot tub was cleaned and refilled with fresh well water before your arrival. The owner was glad to help get it working so you could enjoy it during your stay.- Firewood for the fire pit is not included, but there is leftover scrap wood from work done on the cabin that guests are welcome to use. The owner does their best to cut it to size when time allows.Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience.
