We are located 7km from the Townlink trail that connects to the St Helens Mountain Bike Trails. We have a lock up garage available for your use.
Peron dunes are a short drive away. It is also a lovely walk through St Helens Conservation Area to reach the dunes.
The closest shop is at Hillcrest Tourist park, 3.3km away. They sell a range of fast food, groceries and fuel.
St Helens is a 10 minute drive away and has shops, restaurants and a boutique cinema. In St Helens, you will find shops specialising in local Tasmanian produce, as well as a variety of art and craft shops. St Helens is the largest town on the north-east coast of Tasmania and is known as the game fishing capital of Tasmania.
Georges Bay is home to swans, pelicans, gulls and schools of fish. You may even glimpse dolphins, seals or sea eagles on your walk beside Georges Bay. Look out for whales at nearby Maurouard Beach accessed over Peron Dunes.
It is a short drive to Burns Bay boat ramp, Beerbarrel Beach and the lighthouse. Seats are provided for whale watching.
Mountain bike trails are easily accessed and the calm Georges Bay is ideal for a variety of water sports.
Akaroa is centrally located to drive north to the Bay of Fires, south on the Great Eastern Drive or inland to beautiful rainforest and lush farming land. Whatever the weather or the time of year, there is always stunning scenery and beautiful places to explore. Make sure you allow enough time to fully indulge yourself because your visit to Akaroa is bound to be wonderful.
