Royston Retreat- Lovely 4 bedroom holiday home - Off Peak special!

ROYSTON RETREAT is a lovely 4 bedroom holiday home that accommodates up to 8 guests with only a short walk to the beach. (203 steps from the front gate to the top of the beach stairs to be precise!)

Open plan kitchen with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric oven/stove top, microwave, kettle, toaster, Nespresso coffee pod machine (BYO pods), toastie machine, rice cooker, pura tap, slow cooker, butlers pantry. Dining with large dining table, stereo - blue tooth, lounge with large smart TV, Blue Ray player, reverse cycle split system air-conditioner, 2 1/2 seater lounge plus 2 seater lounge, bean bag area - book case with small selection of puzzles and books.

Bathroom with vanity, shower, bath, separate w/c. Laundry with top loading washing machine, dryer, laundry trough.

Large front deck with outdoor dining setting, 2 seater lounge with 2 single chairs and coffee table, hooded BBQ.

The shed has been transformed into a separate living space, kitchenette with tea/coffee making facilities, bar fridge, sink, small round table and 2 chairs, split system reverse cycle air-conditioner, lounge area with 2 lounges, coffee table, combustion heater (BYO wood).
Bedroom with double bed, bathroom with vanity, shower and w/c. Games area with table tennis table and dart board.

Outdoor fire pit with seating (BYO wood, to be used in non fire danger season only). Lawned area. Fish cleaning facility

Bed configuration - bed 1 - queen, bed 2 - double, bed 3 - 2 singles, bed 4 (detached) - double bed
All linen/towels (excluding beach towels), pillows and quilts/covers are provided for all beds.

Hardwicke Bay is a small beachside settlement with beautiful beaches, reef and rockpools.

Very clean & tidy with lots of thoughtful touches. Well equipped kitchen with lovely serving bowls, plates & platters for entertaining. Lovely deck with large dinning table & outdoor lounge. Large well fenced yard with lawn for our dog. & plenty of parking for cars & boat. The owner was amazing as a kindle was left behind on pack up, we were notified as soon as it was found & was delivered to us the same day!

Had a memorable stay at Royston's Retreat. Far better than the description. Beautifully presented and very much a family home feel to it. Would recommend to anyone and will certainly visit again.

BBQ & coffee machine were terrific. Close to the beach and dog friendly - perfect for us! The only feedback we had was perhaps a second (older) fridge could be added to the shed, we found that there wasn't really any room to store our fishing bait and catch surplus drinks. Thankyou so much for a lovely stay, we hope to be back again soon!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Well laid out house with pretty much everything you could need for a family. Studio/shed had the dart board and table tennis. Beach is a very short walk over one street. Very flat and perfect for a kayak, paddle board or a swim. Magical sunsets. Very quiet area and location was great to get to Point Turton and other lovely seaside towns for fishing and snorkeling. Imagine it is the best location if you have a boat. Air con was needed due to the lovely hot weather and so was very grateful for that. Bedrooms have fans only. We enjoyed our stay. Had some ants in the kitchen so take everything in containers and store things in the fridge that they might want to get into. Mgt will look into that but sometimes it can’t be helped. Didn’t impact us greatly.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an excellent stay at the Royston Retreat. The house is spacious, very neat and tidy, well equipped. Indoor and outdoor areas are well prepared for guests’ comfort and entertainment. It is a home away from home but with an overwhelming holiday feeling. There is a short distance to the beach over the dune which also gives protection in case of the wind from the sea. We could spend a lot of time on the deck of the house thanks to that. The owners put a lot of attention to make the place very comfortable for the guests. We highly recommend the Royston Retreat to anyone considering visiting and staying at Harvey Bay.

Reviewer Comments: My family and I stayed at Royston Retreat for 4 nights and loved how spacious and comfortable it was for a family of 5. Loved the ping pong table and darts too! The only downfall was the cleanliness of the house... eg toilet, vanity (soap scum around taps), dead bugs on windowsills, food splatters on venetians at kitchen window.
