House Rules (must meet these to book): Sleeps family of 8 (max 6 adults), please note that this property books Saturday-Saturday only during high season. Lead guest must be 30+ years of age. Up to 1 cat permitted. Please note that, according to the municipality's bylaws, all dogs must be leashed or tethered on the property when outside. Dogs are not permitted to roam leash-free.Linens & indoor towels are provided for all rentals; please bring your own outdoor towels. A cleaning service is provided for all reservations; however, the property is to be left in a tidy condition. No parties allowed. A supplemental information form must be completed.

• There are boats on the lake, but there is no public boat launch so it's not suitable for guests to bring a boat
• Rentals include a cleaning service; however, the cottage must be left in a tidy condition
• Garbage and recycling removal prior to departure is required
• Cottage has a western exposure, but no sunset view
• Good snow tires are required for winter access

Water Supply

Cottage water comes from a well and passes through particulate and UV filters and a water softener.  Although it has been assessed as safe to drink, any water test is only as good as the day the sample was tested, so you may prefer to use bottled water for drinking, ice-making and teeth-cleaning; it is fine for cooking and bathing.  

Waterfront

The lake bottom is muddy, so the best swimming is off the dock. There are some weeds, but it's generally suitable for swimming. Water shoes may be preferred because of the weeds on the lake bottom. There is no boat launch at the cottage.

Close-By Attractions
• Petroglyph's Provincial Park. Largest known concentration of Indigenous rock carvings (petroglyphs) in Canada, depicting turtles, snakes, birds, humans and more; this sacred site is known as "The Teaching Rocks". Visit the Learning Place Visitor Centre, or bright blue/green McGinnis Lake - one of only a handful of meromictic (layers of water that don't intermix) lakes in Canada. Great opportunities for wildlife viewing. (30 mins)

• Warsaw Caves Conservation Area. Hiking trails feature limestone caves, kettles, scenic lookout (35 mins)

• Upper Cordova Falls. The falls at Upper Cordova Falls are the largest of the 3 falls, and there's a good view from atop the small concrete dam. The bedrock is a jet black, giving the rocky banks a unique appearance. (30 mins)

• George Street Park. Park with a playground and splashpad for the kids (20 mins).
