Met expectations but could be better, especially for family that might want to cook. Key code was a challenge all through our stay but the provision of a physical key as alternative was helpful.
Trouble with door code. Called the host. Host replied, "itâs easy!" There was a trick we had to figure out for ourselves in that you had to pull the door strongly toward you before the code would work.
The home only had very basic supplies. Only one decent hand towel and two microfibre cloths. There were bath towels. We asked for more towels and weâre told there were enough for a four day stay. There was a rule that you could only use laundry after staying for four days. In the kitchen there were minimal supplies. No toaster. No baking pan. Only two coffee mugs. No salt, pepper, coffee cups, or sugar, measuring cups, serving bowl, strainer. No lamp or footstool in the living room. Upstairs in the bedrooms there were only beds.No night tables or lamps. Just harsh overhead lighting. No waste baskets, even in the master bathroom. No extra blankets. The mattress covers were plastic, which made for a sweaty sleep.
The house was in a brand new housing development which wasnât clear from the map. There was construction all around, dust and noise. The back door was boarded up so only one entrance. At one point there was jackhammering in the basement. The host did not respond for an hour. We talked to the workman and he hadnât been informed about any guests.
We have stayed in many Vrbos and always before have felt the hosts were making an effort to provide us with comfort. Not in this case. To be fair, when I became Ill the host did ask if there was anything I needed.
