Family Vacation 2024

We were enjoying it stay until hurricane Debbie showed up. Even though our vacation was cut short we still enjoyed our stay at Almost Retired. It was a beautiful home.

The overall stay was good. The bed in first bedroom on left was very uncomfortable!! The headboard made a noise as if it’s not securely installed each time one of us moved! It was very annoying!!

Almost Retired worked out perfect for our family. We had 6 adults and 2 smaller dogs. Easy walk to the beach. Plenty of TV's and the fenced in astroturf yard was awesome for the dogs. It is a 3 bedroom and 3 bathroom home, however each bedroom doesn't have its own bathroom. Rather 2 bedrooms share 1 of the bathrooms and the other bathroom has access from the living area. Not a big deal but that may be important to some people. Plenty of silverware, glassware and kitchen gadgets as well. We will strongly consider staying here again next year.

We enjoyed our stay. Porches were great to enjoy sun, shade, sunset, breezes! We booked as 3 BR, 3 Bath. I had read another review and knew that the bathroom configuration was not where each bath attached with each BR. That was fine. However, one bathroom is TUB only. That caused us a bit of a problem because we needed showers in each bathroom. May not matter to other groups but just FYI. House was very comfortable, clean, and we still enjoyed our stay. Wish we had known about the configuration ahead of time. The neighborhood is very nice and we felt safe the entire time. Walkable distance to the beach. Of note also is there is no working lift or elevator so be ready to tote all your stuff up the flight of stairs….pack light! This is certainly not a negative review but just for informational purposes. You will enjoy Almost Retired!
