We loved canoeing on the lake, visiting local breweries and relaxing in the large cabin. The big picnic table is great for playing board games. Make sure your vehicle is suitable to drive 4.3 miles down an unpaved road.

The cabin was filled with wasps. They are nesting in all the walls. It was impossible to keep them out. The kayaks were covered in spiders and old webs. We spent the first night cleaning all the bugs and spiders out of the beds. Cabin is cute but desperately needs some cleaning and insect control. Beautiful view of the lake.

We're glad you enjoyed the beautiful lake view and appreciate you sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your experience with insects and cleanliness concerns. The cabin was professionally treated for pests before your arrival, but due to its wooded lakeside setting, seasonal insects and occasional spiderwebs around outdoor amenities can still occur. We understand your concerns and will continue monitoring the property to help provide the best possible guest experience. We also wish these concerns had been shared during your stay, as the Guest Contact reached out and would have been happy to help address them at the time.

Lovely cabin on the lake

Had a great stay at this cozy cabin. Right next to the lake with everything you need. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking equipment and we used both grill and firepit. Owners are really responsive, friendly, and helpful. Lots of info on the surrounding area helped with planning things to do, and they even had binoculars to watch the many birds all around. Would definitely stay again!

beautiful view and very responsive owner

We enjoyed being away from town and having the water view. My sons used the kayaks and enjoyed time on the water. The burn ban didn't allow us to use the fire pit but all the supplies were available and ready to go. Very spacious cabin.

Rustic hunter's cabin

The location, right on Lake Dardanelle, is beautiful. The cabin is pretty rustic and you have to drive 4 miles down a dirt road. It was fun to ride the bike on the country roads. The neighbor's dogs run free.

May Stay

The cabin needs some updating as far as new roofing and some paint on the ceiling. There appears to have been some damage to the roof maybe during the recent storms. The cabin location was absolutely beautiful! The fishing spot was a great sport and my husband caught enough fish for a good fish fry. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The host were always quick to respond and the supplies in the cabin were very helpful. It is a little drive to town but we loved the quiet stay.

The view of the water was worth the trip and the drive to it with all the beautiful scenery around the area was an added bonus! If your looking for a nice place to stay, have a boat, and looking to fish in that area, this is the place for you too.. The cabin had a nice rustic vibe with some noticable TLC work in process and we look forward to seeing all the TLC work at a later date. It was very peaceful and a nice way to connect with nature which was much needed. It rained for part of trip but didn't stop us from enjoying it but sadly wasn't able to fish much at the location due to debris from the flooding rain. We went and enjoyed all the other local parks such Dublin Park, Cane Creek, and Shoal Bay fished at all 3 but couldn't kayak though due do lots of boats within the areas from a possible tournament. When we arrived we were surprised of some others being up from/next to the cabin but still plenty of seclusion and didn't bother us. Our only dislikes was the shower was small and the beds weren't too comfortable but other then that we enjoyed it we had a small hiccup that we reached out to the host, quickly responded, and handled it quickly. It was very nice meeting them and we are looking forward to staying again in the near future.

Our Stay

The owners are wonderful and very helpful. The property has a lot of potential. If it looked like the pictures in VRBO, we would have been satisfied. It was dirty, lots of spiderwebs, floors dirty, and outside was not clean enough to enjoy. No grass and a lot of mud. I get it just rained but there was not a walkway into home. The deck and furniture was dirty. The neighbors had a goat and chickens that were very loud. The owners could make it VERY enjoyable.

Filthy! Kitchen fridge/freezer had melted, spoiled food left by prior renter. Breaker in kitchen was tripped and owner was unable to come to fix until the next morning. Shower had not been cleaned (used personal scrubby and black hair present). Sheets in dryer and laundry machines had broken knobs. TV remote did not work. When owner finally arrived, he never apologized or made any effort to clean the filth. He actually said "well, didn't you check the breaker" as if it was my responsibility to fix his problems. I left as soon as I was able to arrange other accommodations.

Peaceful and beautiful

Came to visit a friend with chronic illness, so I didn’t want to stay with her. This location was within 15 minutes of her home. Due to flight delays, I arrived close to midnight and couldn’t find the place. My GPS had it about half a mile before the actual location. I was exhausted and out of sorts. I called the owner and the poor man got dressed and led me to the house in the middle of the night. He was incredibly gracious. The home is stocked with everything you need. It is not fancy but very comfortable. My friend would tire by afternoon, so I would sit on the deck with coffee and read. There’s an Eagle nest nearby. On the third day the weather changed and the host personally came over to make sure the stove was lit and bring extra blankets. He also gave wonderful suggestions about places to go. I’d highly recommend

This place is amazing! Me and the kids went for a little family getaway, and we absolutely loved it! Beautiful scenery paired with plenty to do on the lake. Loved all the seating options and the cabin stayed cool, even in 90 weather!
