South Bruny Island Retreat with Spa and Sauna

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway in Lunawanna, Bruny Island.

With super comfortable furnishings including two leather lounges, two king size beds, a fully equipped kitchen and a games room with pool table, fridge and bar table with stools, this is the perfect choice for your Bruny Island getaway.

Your furry friends are welcome on request, and will be kept safe in the fenced area at the front of the house.

Located 10 mins from Alonnah and 5 mins from Bruny Island Premium Wines. We have a fully furnished 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom house available for your stay. Each bedroom has a king bed with soft sheets.
The lounge has 2 incredibly comfortable leather lounges - a 2.5 seater and a 2 seater.
A dining table with 6 comfortable seats.
A fully equipped kitchen for the avid cooker - You are most welcome to use everything available to you to cook up a storm! We try to keep oil, basic condiments and some herbs and spices available for your use.
A new coffee pod maker so you don’t have to miss out on your caffeine fix! There is also regular coffee and tea available if you prefer. Milk is generally also available.
We run off tank water, and have a water filter for drinking water, but also bottled water available if you prefer.
Beach towel are available.
There is a 55 inch TV, SONY soundbar, DVD Player with many DVDs available to watch and Nintendo Wii U with multiple games. YouTube and Netflix are available on the TV for your use.
We also have many board games available and books if you enjoy a good read.
If you feel there is anything we have missed, please let us know as we wish to ensure you have the most enjoyable stay possible.

Best accom on Bruny!

My young family and I had the most wonderful stay at Helen's property. Everything has been thought of, including the dog bowl if you're travelling with pets. I am already planning my next visit!

Everything you could want or need was there and easy to access, and clearly labelled. Helen was so great to communicate with before and during our stay. We’ll definitely look at rebooking.

Home away from home

My husband and I enjoyed a relaxed time in Bruny Island based at the Lighthouse Cottage. The house was very comfortable with nothing lacking either in utilities, linen and kitchen equipment and food basics. Helen and Tim were easy to communicate with and provided helpful local knowledge. Loved this property

If you are into wildlife and birdwatching, as we are, this place had it all. One morning a wallabee the next an enchidna. Birds everywhere. The property is clean and comfortable, good WiFi and a good location. We loved it. Highly recommend

I was born in Hobart, Tasmania. I spent a lot of my childhood visiting Bruny Island and have a very soft spot for the island. It has always been my dream to eventually own my own property on Bruny Island, and I am very pleased to be able to share the space I have thoughtfully prepared with visitors to the Island. I have two beautiful dogs - A husky and a malamute and for this reason wanted to be able to offer pet friendly accommodation.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

My father grew up on Bruny Island, his family owned the Alonnah Pub.
When I was a child, we spent many holidays, new years eves, Easters etc at our shack on Bruny Island and any chance I got to choose what to do for my birthday it would be to go to Bruny Island. It’s an amazing and beautiful spot. I would recommend any Tasmanian and any visitor to Tasmania to visit Bruny Island. There is some beautiful scenery to see there, beautiful beaches and now a lot of wonderful places to visit such as Bruny Island Premium Wines.

We have spent a lot of time trying to pick comfortable furniture and adding things to make everyone’s stay extra comfortable and memorable. With many games, a Nintendo Wii U and a separate studio with a fridge, pool table and bar table with stools.
