The Waterhouse Memorial Hall was built in 1913 by the Vories General Partnership Company and was the residence of the family of PB Waterhouse an American who was doing Christian missionary work with WM Vories in Omihachiman City at the time
When Waterhouse met WM Vories a Christian evangelist based in Omihachiman City he agreed with his personality and work and cooperated with him The building was named the Waterhouse Memorial to commemorate the Waterhouse familys missionary work
In June 2008 after about 100 years had passed since the building was built and the damage was noticeable the public interest incorporated foundation Omi Brothers carried out a complete restoration and it was registered as a nationally registered tangible cultural property In 2023 an initiative to maintain and protect the building will be launched by utilizing it for accommodation facilities / Since the whole building is reserved it is recommended for anniversaries with important people families and groups Relax with your family and close friends and fully enjoy the unique atmosphere of the building
