Nice place. But with no AC we opened the windows at night that had no screens in bedroom. Thus the mosquitoes found their target.Nice neighborhood and close to resort.
Enjoyed our stay. Location was perfect for what we visited Steamboat for. Loved our sunset view from our deck, the pool and the hot tub.We would have enjoyed an AC, but fans and open windows worked other than bedroom didnât have a screen. We also would have liked laundry in room but it was on the premises so worked. We would definately stay here again.PS. I did report that I left my pillow behind and never heard back.
Property was a described. Super close to the both base and downtown. Retreatia was helpful and conveniently located fir check in and out. Would stay again.
This was probably the easiest trip I've ever gone on. The welcome packet answered questions I didn't even know I had.
PS if you get my unit it will have salt and pepper shakers. My mistake your gain
Unit had everything you need and staff was helpful. Neighbors upstairs partied till 3 a.m. couldnât sleep at all. Crapshoot on who the occupants will be around you but everything else was enjoyable.
Best part of this place is the walkable proximity to the Steamboat base area - takes about 10 min to walk there, no need to wait for the bus. The walls are definitely thin in the building, but we never experienced any noise issues with neighbors. The beds were pretty terrible - the king bed was insanely soft, and the pullout sofa was typically uncomfortable and uneven. Wifi was an issue one of the days, but that isnât necessarily something Retretia could fix. Weirdest thing is that we were excited to use the hot tub after a day of skiing, but they donât supply extra towels for hot tub/pool use - when we called asking for extra towels, they suggested we use the same towels to dry off after the hot tub that we use for showering, which we thought was pretty gross, since the whole point of showering is getting clean and rinsing off that chlorinated hot tub water.
What a shame, such a cute, comfy condo but I should've listened to the reviews of previous renters about the upstairs noise. The mgmt. comments noted that issues were resolved so we thought it would be ok. NOT TO BE!!! Do not rent this place if you value sleep and peace. The upstairs tennants must be permanent residents due to previous vrbo noise complaints. It was so annoying and lasted all thru the night. The floors are paper thin and the banging and heavy, constant foot steps and other inexplicable, LOUD noises literally kept us up ALL night! There is a sound machine by the master bed but not nearly enough to cover the noises. Worst vrbo experience ever!!!!! Do Not Stay Here!!!!! You will regret it!
Great communication. Clean and updated unit. Great location on the bus line, or an easy walk to the base. A little tight for 4 large people, but definitely workable. Actually pretty quiet for a condo situation. Recommend.
Good views, clean place, but the neighbors are far from ideal. The people upstairs were incredibly loud and we could hear them walking around at all times of the day. So, if you donât mind staying up late, this is a great place for you. If youâre looking to relax and get some rest, I would look elsewhere.
Received lock box info in an email after calling to say we would be a late arrival. Arrived at the lock box at 11pm to find no keys. Finally got ahold of someone and had to wait for someone to come down and get us our keys
I've stayed in several units at The Rockies, and this is definitely the nicest. My only criticism of this one is the bathroom is dark and cavelike. This is made worse by a fabric shower curtain. Why not replace the dim incandescent bulbs with much brighter LEDs? Maybe even replace the toggle switch with a toggle dimmer? A brighter bathroom and shower would be much nicer, and not at all expensive to do. Maybe also replace the filter on the bathroom fan.
A great stay! A little on the small side but it was all our family of four needed. Beautifully decorated, had everything, great pool and location. Could do without the woman above us dropping cigarette ash onto the balcony though!
Both nights we stayed woman above us was out on her patio talking very loudly on her phone both nights we stayed. These conversations were hours long between the hours of 11-2pm. Normally this would not bother us as a family however no air-conditioning so had to leave the windows open. We're not given enough wash rags. One was supplied for four guests. Had a little difficulty finding. Person who I called was extremely helpful in describing location and looks of condo. I received no check out email as stated in check in email. So, a little unsure as to what to do for check out. Other than that, place appeared clean and was sufficient.
This place is comfy, comes with everything you might need, and is pretty close to anywhere you want to go in steamboat springs. The only issue we had was there wasnât enough toilet paper, and the larger issue was the noise! The paper thin walls allow you to hear anything and. Everything occurring in the parking lot. The upstairs neighbors were âokayâ - they werenât too crazy at late hours of the night but, they do walk pretty hard and continuously drop things? If it werenât for that, this place would be getting a 5 star from me! The place was updated, and had great instructions for checkin, check out, and things to do. The staff at Retreatria were super helpful and accommodating throughout our whole stay. We know thereâs not too much they can do About the noise issue, but everything Else was great.
This was the perfect place for the 3 of us. Check in was super easy, the condo was clean with all the promised amenities. From every kitchen utensil needed and plenty of extra towels to humidifiers and a closet of games, everything was available. The bed was super comfortable and the pull out couch was great for my 19 year old. We enjoyed soaking in the hot tubs after a long day of skiing the slopes and having laughs in front of the fireplace. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it! Thank you!
Well appointed, comfortable condo so close to Steamboat base
Condo was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for an awesome ski week at Steamboat. Retreatia even brought 2 humidifiers for us to use which was a huge bonus!!
The unit was perfect for us. Nice touches with the towels all beautifully folded in different arrangements. warm clean and very tidy. The Unit has everything you need for a easy care holiday at Steamboat.
My fiance and I recently stayed here for a nice long weekend getaway from Denver but were quite disappointed, unfortunately. I hate that I'm writing a negative review because you can tell the owners really do care for their condo; it's nicely decorated and well taken care of. The condo had the necessities, though not enough toilet paper was provided for the entire stay, and there was a bit of a "funky" smell in the kitchen I assume from the sink and poor garbage disposal (it didn't really seem to work) and the bed /pillows were horribly uncomfortable.. These small things could have been overlooked had it not been for the noise.
We were looking for a quiet relaxing weekend. The confirmation provided said they had "quiet hours", awesome! But, apparently no one abides by those. There were very loud pool parties Friday and Saturday night until around 11 p.m. with adults and kids yelling and screaming, music blasting and sadly, the way the complex is build and how close this unit is to the pool (though one wouldn't think it was THAT close) the noise carried. It was hot that weekend in Steamboat and the unit had no A/C but we couldn't sleep with the windows open to cool down the unit due to the noise. It carried through the closed doors and windows anyway. While this was an issue, at least the noise ended!
The bigger issue were the upstairs neighbors. Every night around 1 a.m. the noise started. It sounded as though maybe someone was "coming home" at that hour.... doors would start to slam/be banged, it sounded like heavy furniture was being moved across the floor or someone was jumping up and down on the floor/falling onto the floor (many loud bangs to the point that our bedroom walls and the items on the nightstands shook), they were yelling to one another through the condo, etc. It was awful. We had hoped it was just a Friday night thing but unfortunately, it happened every night we were there and continued until around 2:30 a.m. making it impossible to get a good night's sleep. On our last night I complained to Retretia and it got worse. Needless to say, we got no sleep the entire weekend. The owners have a guest book in the unit and others have complained but clearly nothing has been done. Retritia did refund me for 1 night; not enough to cover the three nights of no sleep so I will not stay at another Retretia managed unit again.
Hopefully they can do something about the upstairs noise b/c overall, the unit itself was fine.
