Perched dramatically on the cliffs of Pointe du Bluff in Terres Basses, Villa Amethyst enjoys one of French St. Martin's most extraordinary settings. Nestled between Baie aux Cayes and the striking natural rock arch known as the "Trou de David," the villa offers a sweeping 180-degree panorama of the Caribbean Sea. The view unfolds across the turquoise bay and along the island's rugged coastline, extending all the way to Anguilla on the horizon. As evening falls, the spectacle continues with the twinkling lights of Marigot Bay and the gentle glow of passing ships below.



Formerly known as 'Le Mas des Sables', this exquisite villa has been completely reimagined into a luminous and contemporary retreat, designed to celebrate both the natural surroundings and the art of relaxation. From the gated entrance, a winding driveway ascends through tropical gardens to an elegant arched courtyard. As you step inside, the first thing to greet you is the mesmerizing ocean view, and the soft radiance of the villa's namesake gemstone.



At the heart of the home, a magnificent six-foot pair of amethyst crystal wings stands as a focal point in the living area, emanating a tranquil lilac glow. Throughout the villa, smaller amethyst stones are thoughtfully placed, in bedrooms, on the patio, and even on keychains, infusing every space with their gentle, restorative energy. Long believed to encourage calm, clarity, and inner peace, these gemstones perfectly complement the villa's serene atmosphere, enhancing the sense of harmony that defines every moment here.



The open-plan living area features a comfortable TV lounge and a seamless connection to the oceanfront terrace through traditional wooden-shuttered doors. The brand-new kitchen is a chef's delight, equipped with sleek white cabinetry, Neff appliances, and a breakfast nook overlooking the sea. A convivial bar area with a wine cooler and ice machine opens directly to the terrace.



Outside, a covered terrace offers plush seating and a large dining table for ten guests, alongside a gas grill for al fresco meals. Stone steps descend to a free-form heated pool surrounded by sun loungers and daybeds, while a lower-level terrace provides additional space for sunbathing and quiet reflection.



Five bedrooms are located in a separate multi-level building built into the hillside, each with a unique character and connection to the natural setting. All feature king-size beds, en suite bathrooms, and thoughtful details like robes and beach bags. The "Howlite" suite enjoys a private balcony and daybed overlooking the ocean, while "Citrine" offers its own sun terrace. The fifth bedroom, "Rose Quartz," sits below the main living area with a private deck near the pool, the perfect spot for quiet retreat.

The Space:

The villa’s four bedrooms are situated in a building independent from the communal living spaces and built on two levels into the hillside. Each bedroom possesses a unique design. On the ground floor are the bedrooms “Selenite” and “Citrine” and stone steps lead up to an ocean view balcony and the bedrooms “Howlite” and “Carnelian”. All four bedrooms offer king-size beds, beautiful en suite bathrooms and walk-in closets with his & her bathrobes, and a beach bag that comes in very handy for a walk down to the nearby beach. The “Howlite” bedroom also features a seating area with a large sea view window and its own private balcony and large daybed overlooking the ocean and the pool terrace below. “Citrine” on the ground floor also has its own private terrace with an ocean view. A 5th bedroom “Rose Quartz” is scheduled for completion in December 2022 and will be located in the main building below the living area with its own private deck area that can be accessed from the pool terrace and the entrance driveway.

Each vehicle can accommodate: 10 guests + 1 cabin luggage per person + 1 carry-on per person

* For larger groups (over 10 guests), flexibility is key!

The Guests can use their complimentary departure transfer as an additional arrival transfer.

* No departure transfer will be offered under this rule.



Private Outdoor Heated Pool (only between Dec 17-Apr 14)

POOL TEMPERATURE

Heated pools are designed to provide a comfortable swimming temperature.

As the pools are outdoors, the actual water temperature may vary depending on environmental conditions such as wind, rainfall, and outdoor temperature,

which can affect how warm the pool feels and the temperature it is able to maintain.

Please note that heated swimming pools are intended to enhance comfort and are not comparable to hot tubs or spa pools.

If guests have a specific temperature they would like the pool set to, please inform

our concierge team prior to arrival, as the pool temperature must be adjusted by our

maintenance team.

Guests are not permitted to change the pool temperature themselves
