David, thank you for staying at our Pirate Beach Hideaway in Flagler Beach. I have to say I am a little confused by the 1 star rating. Typically, a 1 star rating would mean you left early because there were issues with the property that would prevent you from staying. During your 9 night stay you did not reach out to us via phone, email or messaging to discuss any issues. That would leave us to believe your stay was satisfactory. Mattress comfort is definitely a matter of personal taste, but most of our guests have loved both the bed and loveseat. We’ll keep your comments in mind as we continue to ensure the comfort of future guests. We also apologize for the lack of extra blankets. We’ll look into providing additional blankets for future stays to make sure everyone is as comfortable as possible. In the future, please feel free to reach out, and we’d be happy to explain how to adjust the thermostat for heat if needed—ensuring you're comfortable during cooler nights. Regarding the noise, we do not manage any of the adjacent condos, so we have limited control over noise from neighboring units or the nearby restaurant. However, we will reach out to the HOA to see if there are any noise-reduction measures they could help implement. We're glad to hear that you found the condo clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. Regarding a few points you mentioned, we'd like to clarify some details. The condo's name, Pirate Beach Hideaway, is the unique name of our vacation rental listing, not the actual condo building, which is typical with short term rentals. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused. In the vacation rental industry, when a reservation is booked through a certain date, that date would be considered your check-out date. Your check-out date was confirmed through emails you received from Vrbo and from us at the time of booking. We didn’t receive any communication from you about extending your stay until two days before your departure, and unfortunately, we had another guest already booked. Otherwise, we would have been more than happy to accommodate you. We also want to clarify that our listing provides all details about what is supplied in the condo along with accurate photos. The balcony, while small, is displayed in our photos and offers a nice view. The laundry facility is provided by the HOA. We will be sure to share your feedback with them for future improvements.
