2 Stanley · You little beauty - Wharewaka Beach Magic!
Modern and very sunny 2 bedroom cottage in the popular Wharewaka strip. Are you visiting friends and family in the area over the summer but looking for your own space? The second bedroom is divided with a curtain and is the access to the bathroom so if 4 staying you all need to be close. Honestly 2 mins to the lake and Wharewaka reserve, with endless sun in this holiday neighborhood, it is the perfect place.
This home is one of two homes on a shared site but private and comfortable for all. PLEASE NOTE â This property is STRICTLY not suitable for parties, events, or loud groups.
Access to all places in the photos.
We like to give our guests their privacy but Kerry is available by phone or text to answer any questions and we are only ever 10-15 minutes drive away if needed in an emergency.
Rotorua is only one hours drive and Hawkes Bay within 1.5 hours drive for a day of sightseeing and for the active traveller the Ski field and Tongariro crossing is an 1.5 hours drive. The Glowworm Caves are also 2 hours drive and Hobbiton 1.5 hours making Taupo the heart of the North Island and the perfect place to stay and explore from.
We stayed for two nights. Everything you would need is there. It was a little farther away from the town area than we thought, but still walking distance as long as the weather is good.
The property is located by the lake and has great views. We enjoyed the walk by the lake and liked the peace and calm.
The property was clean and well maintained. The property manager responded promptly to any/all communication.
Apart from a slow wifi connection, it was a great experience overall.
Very tidy property. But neighbors are noisy at night. We texted our host about the noise that night, but our host did not respond until the next morning. Host texted they can't do anything about the noise but for us to ring noise control. By then it was too late. For what we paid the noise and lack of response from our host ruined our stay.
We really enjoyed our family stay in Taupo at this property recently. It's in a superb location a 2 minute walk to a park and the lake. It's a lovely quiet suburban area (well it was in October!), and the garden space has some couches/ chairs which were lovely for lounging in, in the sun.
Deducting a star only because it wasn't obvious from the booking page that the master bedroom is beside the kitchen and there's no wall, only a curtain that gets pulled across. That didn't bother us, and may not bother some people, but is worth noting. The toilet/ shower is also accessed via the master bedroom. There were a couple of things that required minor repair (running toilet that filled the cistern all night and the mechanism for the blinds above the sink was broken), but they were noted to the property manager so hopefully fixed for the next guests. The lighting was also a bit strange (might have been something else before being a bach?), but all worked just fine.
Overall, this was a clean, tidy, well-appointed place to stay and we enjoyed our stay. Don't take this as a negative review, becuase it's not!, just a couple of things that others may want to know :-)
Ideal location for us ( 7km ) from centre of Taupo and a lovely walk into town.Lovely apartment and just as described.Would definitely recommend and stay again.
