Walk To Beach with Private Pool/Hot Tub!

Located in the charming hamlet known as Harbert we welcome you to Harbert Escape! This spectacular home has EVERYTHING you could ask for in a vacation rental. Your group will love the backyard equipped with both a private heated pool (open until Sep 30th) as well as hot tub. Spacious and private, the backyard is the perfect summer getaway. Sit under the stars and roast s'mores in your outdoor firepit or cook on your gas grill. Harbert House also has an outdoor bocce court as well. Have your morning coffee or meals in your all-season room and listen to the soothing sounds of nature. For those cool fall/winter evenings cozy up to the wood-burning fireplace in your lovely family room. Four floors of living in this Harbert charmer. Just a three-minute walk to a beautiful association beach!

The main floor boasts a gorgeous family room with floor to ceiling windows looking out at the serene-wooded exterior. Wood-burning fireplace and a drop-down movie screen perfect for your nighttime movie. Dining room table as well as fully stocked gourmet kitchen with island seating. Screened-in porch for your group to kick back and relax.

Second floor has four bedrooms; two primary bedrooms both with king beds and en-suite bathrooms. Third bedroom has a queen bed and fourth bedroom two queen beds.

Third floor loft has queen blow-up bed for additional two guests (up to 12 total)

Finally, the basement is ideal for adults and kids alike. Big screen tv and ping pong table fun for all ages!

All the amenities you would expect in a quality rental including private heated pool, hot tub, outdoor firepit, internet, cable, fireplace, washer/dryer, central AC and heat, sunroom, gas grill, bocce court, ping pong table and much more!

Home was in a great location. Close to the beach and in a quiet neighborhood. House was fully stocked with everything we needed. Only suggestion is to replace the projector TV with a traditional TV. Since there are no window coverings in the family room, it was difficult to view the TV at certain times of the day. Would definitely return.

Lovely place to unwind!

What a lovely vacation for our family! This home was a fantastic place for our family’s relaxing vacation. The home is on a low traveled street that ends in the public beach access. The sunsets on the beach are well worth the 5 min walk to the beach access. The trees on the property screen the house from the street and from neighbors--you truly feel secluded! Because of this tree coverage the property encourages wild life (hummingbirds and butterflies frequenting the flowers by the pool, chipmunks stocking up on acorns, cardinals, robins, blue jays, crows, and large bird of prey [maybe falcon/hawk?] in the canopy of the trees, and in the morning and at dusk we saw a momma deer and her two does walking through). There is a fire pit and bocce ball court that we didn't use. The house has a loft off of one of the master bedrooms that has skylights in it which are perfect for lying in bed and looking for meteor showers/northern lights. The basement has many activities for rainy days. The kitchen alone is something that would sell this house-well appointed, spacious, and easy to cook in. The screened porch allows for eating outside even if it rains. The pool is nicely heated and has an outdoor sound system you connect to through your phone (the teens loved that!). The management company is attentive and quick to resolve any concerns. We enjoyed our visit and we will be booking again!

Loved the house...pool, not so much

When we arrived the pool was somewhat cloudy and there was debris on the bottom. We checked the water chemistry with the test strips at the house and found that there was ZERO free chlorine. We called the property manager who sent the pool man over and he told us that the automatic chlorinator had failed a couple of weeks before and that the property owners had decided they would just add chlorine to the pool directly. He did add chlorine and when we checked it after several hours the free chlorine was still Zero! Without a minimum of 3PPM of free chlorine it would be like swimming a petri dish. They returned over several days at our request but never "shocked" the pool sufficiently to get above Zero free chlorine. After 4 days we reached a level of 3PPM and felt comfortable to have our kids use the pool. We lost 4 days use of the pool. The property manager did a good job responding to this issue and providing some compensation for not having use of the pool. The property owner knew of this problem weeks ahead of our rental but did not provide daily upkeep of the pool or communication with the property manager. It appears we were the first rental of the year and took the brunt of their poor pool maintenance. The proximity to the lake access is accurate but it should also state that you are about 65 steps above the lake level making use of the beach difficult for those with poor mobility. Label the switches on the main level as there function is not intuitive.

The pool issue has now been resolved. Beautiful beach, but like most of the beaches in our area there are stairs to access.
