Perfect for a large group

Perfect location and slept a lot of people. We went skiing nearby at Snow River Resort, which was just a short drive away. You can tell it used to be a bar, what a unique feature.

The "cabin" was great. I remember when it was a restaurant years ago, so seeing the conversion to a home was interesting. The loft sleeping area was great for kids; however, it may not be as well received for adults. However, the three private rooms downstairs were good for the adults. We were lucky and had perfect weather during our stay, so the outdoor space was enjoyed. I would strongly recommend using the wood burning fire pit to grille. The steaks and Lake Superior caught fish were outstanding! Our meals included 13 people, and the huge dining table inside was perfect. Also, there were enough plates and silverware for everyone. (Although the lack of a dishwasher meant all those plates and utensils had to be hand washed.) The proximity on US 2 was an initial concern, but the "cabin" is set far enough back that this was not an issue. I will add the proximity on US 2 did make it convenient to run to Walmart and Super One Foods in Ironwood. If I was traveling to the UP with a large group, I would definitely consider staying here again.

From the owner:"Jerod, I appreciate your feedback and it will be taken into consideration. As for the upstairs bathrooms we do have hand dryers in place in order to be a more eco-friendly home. The smell can be caused by the environment surrounding the home, due to the lower level being sited in the ground. With this winter being short and warm it caused humidity. This is something we are trying to adjust, especially when the seasons change.Hope to see you again soon!"

Snow and Bros

This was our 2023 pock for my annual sled trip. We have a group of 10 family and friend members that traveled from Germany, Boston, Minneapolis, Dallas, Oklahoma City and Cumming, Iowa. The home layout is perfect for a larger group. Enjoyed everything about our stay. We left a our bottle of Stapleton and Buffalo Trace on appreciation.

Great!

If I can give this place more than 5 stars I would! It's clean, quiet and spacious. Couldn't ask for a better host. The cabin was absolutely stunning. Everything went smoothly and the place was super welcoming. All of us had a room to stay in and it had everything we needed and more! There are many attraction all around that we all enjoyed. It was beautifully decorated on the inside as well! I recommended this unique cabin! Wonderful place to stay!

Hi Braden, we're glad you enjoyed the cabin! We wish you'd reached out during your stay so the local guest contact could've helped immediately. The homeowner provides a welcome book with detailed directions and photos to help guests find the snowmobile trails. A reliable snowplow service is also in place and can arrive within 10–15 minutes to clear the snow. We appreciate your insight and thanks for staying with us.

Perfect location

We celebrated 2 birthdays here and on the slopes and everyone had an absolute blast. We made use of the ample living space, accessible kitchen, fireplaces, cards, large dining room, and pool table. Our group had a weekend to remember! Three small criticisms that did not impact the quality of our stay: trash bags appeared to be scarce, we struggled to figure out how to pipe our music through the main floor speakers, and the Glade room sprays and plug-ins everywhere gave us headaches (but it was easy to turn them off for the weekend). Overall, we would absolutely book again!
