Cabin was secluded in the woods just a short walk from the beautiful clear river. Close enough drive to Hochatown where you can find good food and things to do.
This cabin was perfect for a weekend get-away. It was stocked with all the essentials and was very clean. I will definitely keep this cabin saved and visit again.
The direction was way off about 13 miles. They told me 22.6 miles, but it was 35 miles for Broken bow. Everything was great we realling had a good time. Peace and quiet and that's is what we needed.
This was ha gift to my son and Daughter -in- law for their anniversary and her 30th birthday. They told me they could not use the hot tub the first day that it. Never warmed up enough. When they arrived there was a strong odor of sewer and their were roaches in the kitchen.
My family and I absolutely loved the cabin. It was pretty private and very close to the water. The cabin was very clean and fully stocked. The only down side was there was a terrible smell that was coming from the plumbing/sewer. We could smell it outside and it was strong at times. There was also a mat on the front porch that was very slick and could cause a fall.
I wanted to get away from the weekend to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. Iâm from Ft Worth Tx and I have visited Broken Bow, OK a few times and enjoyed the atmosphere and the views of the pines but I wanted to do a little more private and more in the woods.. so I found this spot and itâs was PERFECT! My bf loves the outdoors and I do myself so if youâre looking for a place to relax, fish and have a get away from reality this is the one! We cooked steaks, made a fire at night, hot tubed and fishing u til we couldnât fish anymore. There are little waterfalls that you can literally walk too. Fun to put your feet in during the hot summer days. At night we went back down to the rocks and sat under the stars! He said it was the best birthday yet. I highly recommend this place! Will definitely be back.
Booking was very easy, got an email regarding all the details, easy to find and there is a little dollar general down the road if you need a few more essentials/snacks. If you are a coffee drinker they provide a Keurig so just bring more pods :)
Keep your emails cleaned out so messages can come through. Get your directions and ask all questions before you leave home, because internet is very spotty everywhere in Broken Bow/Beavers Bend area. I did not understand that "fsr #####" is a location to put in GPS. We were lost for awhile, but the creative escapes employees were excellent and stuck with us giving directions well after their office closed, until we found the cabin and got inside.
The cabin was exactly as pictured and still smelled like new wood. The area in fall is gorgeous, and the Mountain Fork River is about 500 ft out your front door and right. I recommend the owners install a DVD player. It's very frustrating trying to watch TV or a free movie when internet connection keeps stopping. Also write out instructions for operating the h/a system and the stackable washer/dryer. There is no dishwasher. Would love to stay here again sometime.
