My boyfriend and I visited for my birthday weekend just looking for a simple weekend away. The cabin was great and had lots of various amenities that were surprising. Very clean place. And great location, close to everything you’d possibly need/want. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Such a beautiful place to stay and just relax. Cottage was equipped with toys and activities for children. Property being fenced in was a huge plus having young children. It was properly stocked with all the necessities and essentials you could possibly need. 10/10 recommend. Will definitely be coming again!

Enjoyed having a yard for our dog. We had a nice fire in the evening and walked to the nearby pizza place one night. Overall, excellent. My daughter was thankful for the toiletries as she forgot her toothbrush. Thanks for a great vacation!

Peaceful and relaxing

The cabin was very clean, peaceful, and quiet. The listing was very detailed and accurate. Houghton lake is less than a half mile walk at the end of the street with plenty of access. Higgins lake is a short drive. The restaurant recommendations were amazing and very appreciated.

Immaculate Property and Amazing Host

My Dad’s funeral was today. My parents have lived on Houghton Lake for 20 years, but we decided to rent from this host to free up room in their house for other guests. Property was immaculate, every amenity one might forget was available at the property, and they left an amazing apple/ caramel pie for us. There is a fire pit in the fenced in yard and wood is provided. They even allowed us to extend our stay way past the normal checkout time as I requested based on the timing of the funeral. I highly recommend this property and host!

Not what I expected

The house was nice however, we were expecting to be able to fish and enjoy the lake. The house was not on the lake which was a little disturbing. Also, both my husband and I are sober and found it odd to have when left in the house. I don't think that was a wise choice.

Cozy Cabin Away From Home!

My family wanted a getaway from home and we found just the right spot! My husband & I, brought our daughter & her cousin & two dogs. The girls loved the upstaires with the ladder, when they first walked in, they said, "the upstaires is oursssss". The master bedroom was really nice also. The dogs loved the backyard, they didn't even want to come back in most of the time (lol). I would suggest this cabin if you're wanting a getaway with peace & quiet, and no worries. It's beautiful! One of the great things was that there was a Walmart 3 minutes away if you needed anything. Higgins Lake was a nice park to go for the kids. The water was so clear! The owner was there if we needed her at any point. She was quick to respond to any questions I had. She was very nice & friendly. Thank you again for sharing you're beautiful cabin with us :)
