Family Oriented waterfront Log Cabin with hot tub

As experienced Super Hosts we are thrilled to welcome you and your family to our 4 season 1,400 sq ft log cabin with 152 ft frontage on a shallow sandy bottomed bay leading into Golden Lake. Enjoy the jet tub in the main bathroom. Beyond the 2 bedrooms, there is also an open concept loft that holds 2 twin and 2 double beds - great for teenagers. Enjoy the covered patio overlooking the river, fire pit, with usage of kayaks , paddle boards, and canoe. Close to home of Beaver Tails-Killaloe, ON.
Frozen River is perfect for Ice Fishing and making your own skating rink, location is close to Snowmobile Trails and community skating rink - just 10 min from cottage.
There are exterior motion sensor cameras on-site for security when no-one is on-site showing all entrances to cottage. Please note: Hot Tub is not visible to neighbors.

This was simply a gorgeous cabin with every amenity, clean, spacious, beautiful and so comfortable. The hosts were incredible and outlined all that was included plus check ins to ensure we had everything we needed. We are already booking a next stay and cannot wait to spend more time here! Just a fabulous place. Thank you for sharing your amazing place!

Great modern cottage. Two bedrooms on main floor were roomy and comfortable. Easy to access the cottage from the main roads. Owners responded quickly to any questions about the stay. Overall a great stay.

The property and home are beautiful. The kitchen was well stocked. Beds were comfortable. Unfortunately, we did not feel safe on the stairs to the loft so we did not use this space. But to be fair, we were warned about the stairs before our request to book was accepted.

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had great experience in staying on Golden Lake log cabin. Very clean, everything you need to make our stay comfortable. Especially the addition of the six person hot tub. We would definitely come back.

Waterfront vacation property on the Bonnechere River

It was wonderful to return to Canada. It’s been since 2019 since we were able to travel to this destination. The rental home was just exactly what we were looking for and in a great location. The rental had everything we needed and more. It was a wonderful relaxing time away!

First of all, communication with Diane and Andrea A+. They answered questions promptly and were clear in their responses. They were friendly, generous and understanding. The property is fantastic and well taken care of. It's a wonderful place to relax. My favorite places to have quiet time were on the dock with my morning coffee, at night around the campfire looking at the stars. On the porch overlooking the lake and of course in the hot tub! It's a great place to bring a family too. There is enough space to spread out and everyone can do their own thing and it's great in the open concept living room(with fireplace) kitchen and dining area to spend time together. It's a modern home with a rustic country feel. From beginning to end this was a great experience and am grateful for the chance to stay! Thank you Diane and Andrea for sharing this beautiful part of Ontario with us.

Small family of 4 with 2 cats. Dad shares his love of the outdoors and ensures we know and try all the fun and enjoyment that can be had there - chopping wood, ATV rides, Sitting by the Fire, Exploring the woods. Mom brings the family in to relax by the fire and play boardgames, bake and movie watching. Kids keep mom and dad busy as kids tend to do!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Neighbor hood has all age ranges, each property unique, very welcoming neighbors from day one! Its a mix of properties just being used as cottage, and some live there full time. Gives us a great insight into what it will be like when we hopefully move up in 10 years time full time!
There's enough interaction so it doesn't feel like you are alone, but also enough so you can enjoy just your own family and property.
The view of the River from the porch with your coffee in hand, the sunset from the dock or gazebo while sitting by the fire at the end of the day, the view of the small mountain across the river. The stars on a clear night along with the sounds of the loons!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Its far enough tucked away to enjoy some quiet time together to connect as a family with all the enjoyment that can be found.. outdoors on and in the river - kayak, canoe, a good game of soccer, sitting by the fire looking at stars. Indoors playing board games, cards, watching a movie, a good game of Ping Pong; separate spaces for both adults and kids to enjoy! The big covered porch big enough for the whole family to sit on and enjoy the view of anything happening outside on the big front lawn and river.
