Great stay

Excellent Stay on the Water

Really beautiful lake property with easy-access dock. We brought our own boat since the pontoon season was over, but the canals to the house were easy to navigate and really a lot of fun to use. Firepit was great, and the outdoor spaces (deck, grill, etc.) were really enjoyable. The house does have a few "rustic" touches, but we were extremely comfortable, and it was the first time staying in an A-frame house. We recommend the experience!

Stayed Twice

We've stayed on this property twice, once in August 2023 and again in June 2025. We really like that we can bring our dog with us and stay here and the yard is basically fenced off. The house layout is nice and the room above the garage is good if some folks like (or need) some separation. The neighbors and neighborhood are really nice as well, and very quiet. The house is basically clean and beds and furniture are comfortable. The one thing I will say (and I admit, I'm a little fussy) is that some of the materials in the home are dated, and therefore a little more difficult to keep spotless, like the upstairs shower in the main house and the kitchen floor. There was also a bit of debris tucked under the stairs of the garage unit, which didn't cause any issue, it just wasn't nice to look at. The carpet had been replaced between '23 and '25 which was good, and the dock had been replaced as well. The right sliding door was not functioning either time we stayed, and the left sliding door needed lubrication both times so that we could open it without a hernia. Let's hope those sliding doors are replaced next! ;) Owners were in contact with us and friendly. in all, it's a good place to stay on the lake, especially when you've got a furry friend!

Great lake house!

Thoroughly enjoyed our time on Lake Wawassee. Plenty of room for 2 families of 5. Protected area to park boats. Great firepit and back porch/yard. Fantastic stay!

Great getaway and Tracy is a wonderful host.

The property and location were ideal for our family. The house was stocked with all of the necessary amenities. We were able to fish, have a bonfire and stretch out with all of the space. I would highly recommend that you read the guest book on site. The story in it is hilarious. We will definitely come back in the warmer months. Thank you, Tracy!!

Wonderful lake property!

Just what our 10 PAX/2 family group needed. 3 full baths. 2 spacious adult rooms. Plenty of areas for 6 kiddos to sleep and play. Add the lengthy/bumpered dock in protected canal and you have the perfect spot for boats and wave runners. Thx for a great week!

Great host!

Tracy is a wonderful host and her home was perfect for us. My 3 siblings and I live in 4 different states. Meeting at Tracy’s was perfect for us. The home is cozy, well-supplied and has a beautiful view. We played games, enjoyed the deck, and fire pit. We will definitely come back.

Great family Vrbo

We stayed for a long weekend with our adult children and grandchildren. The house is on a quiet channel of the lake. Great yard and firepit. Renting the pontoon boat was a nice addition. The house had plenty space for everyone. I would mention that the loft with the twin beds is at the top of a narrow spiral staircase - so fine for kids or teens but wouldn't work for all. The yard is large enough that there is room for the kids to play without being too close to the water. The house is older but was clean and had what we needed. Owner's were super responsive. Extra bonus that dogs were welcome and the yard is fenced in! Great stay on a beautiful lake.

Nice House with lots of space

Very nice house with lots of space. Great location on a channel with lots of room to park boats. Only issue we had was the air conditioner for the main house could not cool house during hot day (probably needs replaced as it is very old). Host was not quick to respond but was very friendly once we got of hold of them.

Review of home on Lake Wawasee

Would like to communicate with owner about some issues that could be greatly improved. There were two main issues: the sliding door to the patio was broken, it fell out one time while we playing cards. Had the table been a bit closer to the door, the large door would have fallen on someone’s head. Very dangerous. The bathroom in the above garage bedroom is unacceptable. The lake was wonderful, location very good, dock good. Also, the rug by the back door was curling so bad, we almost tripped over it. All the bathrooms needed some upgrading, more towels needed. The outside furniture needs replaced, flower bed needs attention. Musty odor in garage bedroom, which could also use a comfortable chair. The kitchen was well stocked and the hot water tap was very convenient. The beds were comfortable, nice large TV in great room. Stairs to garage basement were sturdy. We would definitely consider coming back if patio doors were replaced and garage bedroom/bathroom were fixed.

Perfect Lake Wawasee vacation!

Our family of 10 stayed here for the week and it was PERFECT! Communication was easy with the owners and Evolve. The house was a perfect fit for us. The deck is large and allowed all of us to enjoy our evenings out on it. There is also a fire pit which worked out well for s’mores!! We will be back! Thanks to our hosts for being so welcoming!!!

Fantastic trip to Syracuse!

My family and I stayed in July at the Chalet and it was perfect for us! The owners had great communication and were quick to respond whenever we needed anything. The house had a nice, flat yard which was perfect for the kids to play. The house is on a channel which was nice for using the kayak which was provided and the sand bar was very close. We also rented a pontoon boat from the owners which was very convenient. We loved driving up to the Oakwood Resort for meals and to let the kiddos play at the beach. The house was well maintained and stocked with everything we needed. We had a great trip with our extended family and would definitely come back!

Total Relaxation!

My husband and I booked this Chalet on a quiet harbor of Lake Wawasee. We rented a pontoon boat and explored the lake, fished, ate at the local restaurants and relaxed in this lovey home for several days. It was a wonderful trip and our host was fantastic! The home was beautiful and clean with a lovely setting on the water. I would highly recommend! Pat and Gene

Lakeside Paradise

We stayed at the Syracuse cabin this May and had a fantastic time! The cabin is so spacious and beautiful and has all the comforts of home. The open concept allows for great conversation while cooking meals etc. You can catch the sunrise over the channel from the second floor bedroom and our kids loved the loft area! The outdoor space is really incredible with plenty of room to spread out and relax. We enjoyed sitting out on the big deck and taking in the channel view with our kids and friends. The location really cannot be beat for lake access & proximity to town for restaurants and the grocery store. We will definitely look this place up the next time we head out to Lake Wawasee.
