This home is spacious and comfortable.

The house was spotless and loves the Fourth of July decorations. My husband and kids really enjoyed the game room. We enjoyed s’mores by the fire pit one evening. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. Joe and Meredith’s home is very welcoming.

This was a very nice house with spacious rooms, comfortable beds and couches, plenty of things to do downstairs, and an overall comfortable atmosphere. This is somewhere we would definitely stay again if we were in the area. Hosts were easily reachable and responses were quick.

Relaxing stay

This property was exactly everything as advertised. The game and exercise room downstairs were a big hit. You had everything you could possibly think of from toddlers to elderly entertainment, fully loaded kitchen, beds were over the top comfortable. Best place we've stayed in a long time. The personal card from you was so nice. We hope to come again. Awesome place!!!

Clean, comfy, and well appointed with a convenient location

I booked this property to celebrate the birthdays of my wife and 2 adult kids. The house is very convenient to Asheville and the surrounding area attractions. It is up a country road not far off of a major highway which made it quick and easy to get to Asheville, about 15-20 minutes. It is not located in a touristy area, but it is a peaceful, rural setting. While older, the house is beautifully appointed inside and very comfortable. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. The game room is amazing and there are options to get in a workout. We had no issues during the whole process and stay. Check in/out was a breeze. The owners are very friendly and communication was easy and they genuinely want to be sure you have a good stay. This will be the first place we look when we return to the area in the future.

Amazing!

As soon as we walked in we were surprised by a pleasant aroma. Then another surprise on the kitchen table! A welcome card as well as a basket of candies for Easter! We felt very welcomed into this home away from home. The attention to detail in the Easter/Spring decor was outstanding. The home was very clean and ready for my family. The basement was awesome! Any and every game you could imagine as well as a small home gym. The host of the home was very responsive when I text questions (mainly about great food in the area). My family will definitely be back again and probably for a week or more next time. Check in was as easy as it could be. No issues at all! Another bonus was how close the home is to everything! Definitely 5/5 star rating!

Welcoming, Clean & Comfortable

We really enjoyed our holiday stay at Appalachian Escape! We traveled to NC to spend the holidays with family & booked this home. I thought I would buy a small Christmas tree for the occasion. No need to do so as upon arrival we opened the door to a Christmas wonderland with decorations in every room. A welcome note & basket from Joe and Meredith greeted us. Memories were made in the Game Cave as everyone enjoyed pool, air hockey, etc.The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and the house was very clean.We'll be back for sure!

Fantastic Thanksgiving

We had the most amazing Thanksgiving at this house! We have stayed at dozens of rental properties and this is by far the cleanest, most thoroughly and thoughtfully appointed house we have experienced. The house was even better than the pictures. The game room was a huge hit with my teenage boys and we spent so much time there together as a family. We loved the fire pit and appreciated that everything we needed was supplied! We prepared our Thanksgiving meal in the well appointed kitchen. We had such a great time we never ended up leaving the house!. The hosts were friendly and went above and beyond. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable Thanksgiving!

Felt Like Home

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. The owners have truly thought of every possible scenario for a stay, whether it is a group of adults or a family with young children. The house was in the perfect location to venture off in different directions. Plenty of sight seeing all around. We ventured to Pigeon Forge one day - under 2 hour drive. If something brings us back to the mountains of NC, this is the place I will come back to without question.

Amazing!

The house looks just like the pictures! It was clean, nicely decorated, and the game room was awesome. The property was nice and relaxing. Close to gas station, Walmart, and any other store you might need. There was the sweetest note on the table for us and the owners sent me a text the day we checked in. They were on vacation themselves! They went above and beyond! We were so impressed and will definitely be back!

Nicely remodeled and well equipped

Appalachian Escape is a nicely remodeled older home in a rural area. The outstanding features are a large covered side patio and an amazing lower-level game room--great for kids. We cooked all our meals in and found the well equipped kitchen and dining areas convenient and comfortable (seating for 6 at both the patio and dining room tables plus a high chair). The towels and sheets were high quality, the beds were comfortable (except for the height of two), and there were lots of pillows and throws. The house worked well for us as a local gathering place since we have family in Weaverville. The owners were very responsive. Because the house is on the side of a hill, there was not a lot of lawn space, but the space was well maintained with a fire pit and had a gorgeous blooming peony hedge above the driveway. One of the queen beds and the king bed were extremely high (required step stools), so that was a bit of a problem for us. The property across the road entertained us with rooster crows and goat bleats (but unfortunately its condition spoiled the mountain views).

Best Rental Ever!

This rental exceeded everything we had hoped for. Having a 10 year in our party, we were hoping to have some entertainment for him. This house has it all ! Pool table, ping pong, air hockey, work out equipment, tv, stereo, fire pit etc. They had a high chair for the baby and little people toys in the game room.The house was super clean, really cute decor and comfortable furniture. The beds were nice and comfy as was the living furniture. The hosts have thought of everything you could imagine. They even had little fire starters set out on the porch for the fire pit. They hosts were very easy to get in contact with and very nice to talk to. We absolutely loved this house. If we are ever in the area again, I will rent this one in a heartbeat.

Perfect getaway in the mountains

We absolutely loved our stay! Easy access to Weaverville/Asheville, hiking, nature. Joe and Meredith were perfect hosts and made everything so easy for us. Our kids adored the game room basement and played pool, ping pong, and air hockey constantly. I loved the extra large porch for morning coffee and reading, and my husband loved the fire pit. The beds and towels were the best we’ve experienced in all of our VRBO stays (and we’ve stayed in many!). We will definitely return!

The bed was super comfy. The kitchen had everything we needed. The downstairs recreation area was the Cherry on top… offering a fun alternative for spending time together. It’s an awesome spot.

Very happy with this house. Very clean and cozy! Host was very accommodating and added nice touches plus had lots of amenities for your needs during your stay as well as games and activities. My sister and I are very picky about cleanliness and we’re very happy with this place. Would stay here again!!

The perfect vacation home!!

After spending the last three decades making annual trips to Madison County to see family, we have stayed in tons of vacation rentals and by far, this is our absolute favorite! The location was perfect for spending time with family in Marshall and shopping or grabbing something to eat in Weaverville. The game room provided endless entertainment for our crew and the porch was the perfect place to relax as we grilled and made use of the fire pit. Everything was decorated so well and SO COMFORTABLE and CLEAN!!! We are beyond excited for our trip next year and hope to book with the Evolve team again!!

AMAZING stay!

The property owners are so great. They communicate with you. The home is clean and furnished well. They even provide extras for the littles we have - children’s cups, plates, and toys. The beds are so comfortable. Did I mention everything is so clean?? Great stay!
