We have stayed in Sara’s Shacks before so we weren’t concerned. Unfortunately we should have been concerned. We arrived after dark. Once I got into the house to turn the outside lights on, we found that the front porch light was burnt out and the back porch lighting was very poor. I messaged Sara about the front porch light and she messaged back immediately “I’ll send someone over to change the front porch light, sorry about that.”The next night we came back and no light. I messaged Sara “Again we came home after dark and the front porch light still does not work. It certainly is a challenge for my husband to get into the house since he uses a cane.”The next reply from Sara was 2 days later with our check out instructions.Very poor communication and, in my opinion, disregard for us as a customer. Overall, the house was clean with minimal amenities. Would we stay at a Sara’s Shack again? Absolutely not.

Best Stay of our Road Trip

We stayed here for the final two nights of a 16 -night road trip, and we found it to be exceptional in every way. It was certainly the best property out of a number of great places. There were two things that I found particularly noteworthy. First, the communication was phenomenal. We were provided with all relevant and necessary information as soon as it was feasible, allowing us to feel confident and excited about the next stop of our journey. We were assured early on the day of our arrival that we were expected and welcomed. Second, we happened to arrive late in the evening, after an entire day of travel, and found the house with the lights on, which was a very warm and inviting touch after a very long day. I immediately felt welcomed, safe, and relaxed. Thank you for that! The house itself was extraordinarily charming, beautifully decorated, in a lovely neighborhood, and near a dog-friendly park that we enjoyed thoroughly. We thank you for hosting us, and we will certainly stay here again,

College tours and vacation

Overall the property was clean and nice. I will say, the train is quite loud. Kept us up at least 2 of our 3 nights. The yard needed to be cut front and back. The house was further from Winthrop campus than expected. One bathroom and the shower was not draining.

Great location!

We were in town for a volleyball tournament. This cute little house was perfect for the 4 of us. The kitchen had all the things we needed to prepare meals. We had a great stay and the convenience of the location was perfect!

Location ideal is you want to be close to sports complex. House just needs a little love. Touch up paint, clean the ceiling fans, cobwebs high in corners of ceilings, yard clean up. But overall a charming place to stay.

Stayed overnight while driving to Florida. Listing is as advertised with a quiet neighborhood that is a block away from a nice public garden (Glencairn). This is the second time I’ve stayed here and would stay again.

Nice place to stay in Rock Hill!

Good experience overall! Really wish that the Glade plug-ins were not used everywhere in the house. Many people have sensitivities to the chemicals in those and much better options are available. Other than the terrible smell from those the stay was wonderful.

Beautiful and quaint.

The property is lovely and cozy, being from Colorado the interior tell was a touch chilly, but it was nice for the weather. Checking in and out was a breeze. The only complaint would be the night before we had to leave the neighbors were partying loudly late into the night. However that is not affecting this review.
