Summary:
Carinya - an Aboriginal word meaning 'happy, peaceful home' and we welcome you to experience this with us.
Carinya is purpose-built for holiday living with split-pavilion style accommodation, offering mountain views and a private pool with quasi outdoor area.
In a sought after location, only 5 minutes walk to the Palm Cove beach and esplanade, via a tropical boardwalk, Carinya is your perfect holiday destination.
The Space:
Key features of Carinya are a spacious kitchen, private outdoor dining/pool area, air-conditioning throughout the house and comfortable bedrooms.
The house is pavilion-style, so it is split into two buildings joined by an undercover outdoor living/pool area.
The central entertaining area has a plunge pool, outdoor table and a gas BBQ, surrounded by gardens and linked to the indoor space via large bi-fold doors.
Inside is a spacious kitchen and a living room with a large smart tv and leather couch, with a second seating area adjoining the patio.
Upstairs is the master bedroom, with a king bed, ensuite, walk-in robe and a private balcony with mountain views.
The second pavilion has a living/study area, two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with two single beds (which also can be made into a king upon request) and a bathroom which has a shower and bath.
Guest Access:
Check in is available until 10pm.
Guests have access to the entire house, including garage and private pool. There is also a local health club with a 25m lap pool, gym and sauna, only a 5 minute walk from the house. Casual visits start from $15.
The Neighborhood:
About 30 minutes north of Cairns, Palm Cove is a tiny beachside village centred around an esplanade lined with 500-year-old melaleuca trees. Walk around barefoot, choose a bike instead of a car and buy fresh seafood for a sunset barbecue on the beach. You can hire a kayak and paddle right off the beach or take a tour to nearby Double Island. The Palm Cove jetty is a great fishing spot, with plenty of Spanish mackerel, cod, whiting, stripeys and flathead to be caught.
Other Things to Note:
Please note that the house is split into two buildings.
While this can be ideal for families with older children or groups of friends, if you have young children the distance between the main room and back bedrooms may not be suitable.
